You should view the world as a conspiracy run by a very closely-knit group of nearly omnipotent people, and you should think of those people as yourself and your friends. The normal does not exist. The average does not exist. We know only a very large but probably finite phalanx of discrete space-time events encountered and endured. Scenario universe is non-simultaneously apprehended. Dr. Robert Anton Wilson was the author (along with Robert Shea) of the popular Illuminatus! trilogy, which won the Prometheus Hall of Fame award for science fiction in 1986. His other books have found great acclaim as well, many of them achieving "cult classic" status. Wilson has been described at various times throughout his life as a novelist, philosopher, psychologist, essayist, editor, playwright, poet, futurist, civil libertarian and agnostic mystic.
In this video from the Libertarian Party's Presidential Nominating Convention in 1987, Wilson treats the audience to a humorous and irreverent talk about everything from the state of world politics to a discussion on metaphysics, chemistry, and the nature of reality.

The deep structure of reality is related to both linguistics and to synchronicity. In Part One of this two-part program, Robert Anton Wilson speaks with characteristic humor of his involvement in the Discordian Society which honors the two great cosmic forces of order and chaos. He also makes observations about such religious movements as the Church of the Subgenius, and the Church of Fred Mertz Boddhisatva.
In part two of the DVD, Wilson discusses the parallel universe hypothesis of quantum physics and its implications for literature and psychology. He discusses the history of conspiracies and defends his interest in subjects that are considered most taboo by society at large. He concludes by reflecting on the taoist wisdom embodied in the old Kung Fu television series.
Robert Anton Wilson is a humorist, novelist, guerilla ontologist and futurist psychologist. He is author of twenty-six books including the classic Illuminatus trilogy, the Schrodinger's Cat trilogy, The Cosmic Trigger, Coincidance, Prometheus Rising, Ishtar Rising, Masks of the Illuminati, Wilhelm Reich in Hell, Quantum Psychology and Reality is What You Can Get Away With.

Walter Block is a professor of economics at Loyola University New Orleans and a Senior Scholar at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. Previously he was a Senior Economist at the Fraser Institute. Block is an Austrian economist and the author of Defending the Undefendable (1976).
Dr. Demento is a radio broadcaster who has been operating in the Los Angeles area since 1970. He specializes in playing humorous, odd, and novelty recordings and was nationally syndicated from 1978-1992. The Dr. Demento Radio Show is still produced (as of 2012) in a weekly online format.
In this 1987 lecture from the Libertarian Party's yearly national convention, Block, Wilson and Demento each give their take on libertarianism's convergence with popular culture. Block talks about sex (taking examples from his book Defending the Undefendable), Wilson on drugs (including the consequences of drug prohibition in America), and Demento tackles rock 'n' roll (the FCC, obscenity over the airwaves, and censorship).

A night of ontological anarchy and poetic terrorism captured live at the Komotion International in San Francisco in February 1993.
Before the X-Files, before alt.conspiracy, there was Robert Anton Wilson and his legendary Illuminatus! Trilogy. Now this avatar of conspiriology, renowned for his razor wit and progressive philosophy, takes you on a fascinating, eclectic ride through what Wilson has termed the "Cultic Twilight" where conspiracy theories flourish.
Everything Is Under Control covers the range of Wilson's kaleidoscopic knowledge, from John Adams to the Voronezh (former Soviet Union) UFO sighting, the Campus Crusade for Cthulhu to the Mothman prophecies, and everything in between. What do the Freemasons, the Kennedys, and Princess Diana have in common? All are at the center of gigantic conspiracy theories with incredibly complex and endlessly multiplying twists, turns, highways and byways. Arranged by alphabetical entries which include cross-references to other entries in the book and also provide addresses to related sites on the Web, this book is truly interactive--you can dip in, read through, or follow one of the URLs from an interesting entry onto the internet.
