Remote viewing is not simply using psychic ability to obtain information. It is using scientific protocol to develop and extend that ability so that ordinary people can learn to do what "psychics" do. Anybody can be trained in remote viewing (no psychic gifts required). However, it requires a huge commitment and a highly disciplined mind. Using the analogy of martial arts, you can see RV training in levels, starting with white belt where viewers can expect to see a gestalt (an overall impression) of a target. By the time readers reach the red-black belt great master, they will have gained "a near-perfect union of one's paranormal talent blended within extant reality. People who reach this level no longer have to think about it, they simply do."
Paul H. Smith, PhD, has served twice as president of the International Remote Viewing Association an organization of which he is a founder. A former Army intelligence officer, he served for seven years as part of the military’s top-secret remote viewing program. He is author of Reading the Enemy’s Mind and The Essential Guide to Remote Viewing. He currently serves as president and chief trainer for Remote Viewing Instructional Services. His website is https://rviewer.com/.
Here he reviews examples, from the remote viewing unit at Fort Meade, Maryland, of tasks involving UFO-related targets. He explains the various methodological hazards of this approach, but also argues for a balanced approach in which remote-viewing related information can be considered as one source among others. He suggests that there are a variety of scientific anomalies where remote viewing could provide helpful information.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

What do the healer, the mystic, the psychic, and the spy all have in common? They are all in touch with their non-local mind and our community of spirit. During the 1970’s and 80’s, Stanford Research Institute (SRI) carried out investigations of our ability to experience and describe distant events blocked from ordinary perception. is intuitive capacity was named remote viewing, and the research was supported by the CIA, NASA and many other government organizations for gathering intelligence information about world-wide activities during the Cold War.
Physicist Russell Targ, co-founder of this previously SECRET psychic research program, will describe the very best evidence for extrasensory perception, precognition, intuitive diagnosis and distant healing. He will describe many of these applications, together with the spiritual implications of psychic abilities from the Hindu mystic Patanjali, and the Dzogchen dharma masters, down to the present time, as they might be applied to expanding ones timeless and nonlocal awareness. He will discuss developing remote viewing skill; how to recognize the actual psychic signal, and separate it from mental noise of memory, imagination, and analysis – and why should we bother with ESP? e kind of tasks that kept the SRI program in business for twenty-three years include the following: SRI psychics found a downed Russian bomber in Africa; reported on the health of American hostages in Iran; described Soviet weapons factories in Siberia; located a kidnapped US general in Italy; and accurately forecasted the failure of a Chinese atomic-bomb test three days before it occurred, etc. When San Francisco heiress Patricia Hearst was abducted from her home in Berkeley, a psychic with the SRI team was the first to identify the kidnapper by name and then accurately describe and locate the kidnap car.
This book is an explanation of the relationship of non-local awareness with spiritual practice, creativity, and the modern mental martial art known as Remote Viewing, and what this tells us about our nature as human beings.
This book is part of Stephan Schwartz's course on Remote Viewing, "The Gold Standard Online Course". Course includes 10 Videos, 5 Audio Recordings, and this book, Opening to the Infinite. The course is designed to show you "everything science knows about remote viewing, and you will have been carefully and gently guided through a series of experiences so that you will understand this aspect of your consciousness that is not limited by space-time. And although I can not guarantee it, it would not surprise me if you become as proficient in remote viewing as the people who worked in my Mobius laboratory. These are the men and women, much like you, who discovered sunken ships in the Caribbean and California. Who located Cleopatra’s Palace, Mark Antony’s Timonium, and the ruins of the Lighthouse of Pharos, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world."
