Peter Gandy is a British author living in Glastonbury, England. With Timothy Freke, he is the co-author of six books including the international bestseller 'The Jesus Mysteries'. Other books include: The Complete Guide to World Mysticism (1998), The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs (1998), The Wisdom of the Pagan Philosophers (The Wisdom of the World)(1999), Jesus and the Lost Goddess: The Secret Teachings of the Original Christians (2002), The Laughing Jesus: Religious Lies and Gnostic Wisdom (2005), and the Gospel of the Second Coming (2007). His first degree is in Acting and Television from the University of Wales and he holds an M.A. with Distinction, from the University of London, specialising in the ancient Mystery Religions, and particularly Pythagoreanism. He has been a guest on many documentaries and radio shows in the UK, Europe and America, and has recently presented a documentary on 'The Flood' for National Geographic that aired in 2012.
