Baalbek: Megaliths of the Giants, 800 Ton Mega-Platforms

Hugh Newman explores the main temple of Baalbek, looking at the many levels of construction and some of the biggest stones on the planet. He is joined by local tour guide Pierre Ananiguian and author Andrew Collins, who together look for evidence of ancient technology at the site. They locate the biggest stones at the main temple of Baalbek weighing between 400 and 800 tons along the mighty western and northern walls and discuss how this was once a huge Pre-Roman platform and how they could have possibly quarried, transported and placed them. They even find the 'spaces' in the platform and walls where the unmoved 1000 - 1650 ton quarry stones would have been placed.
