At this Cambridge Forum event, Harvard professor of psychiatry John E. Mack, M.D. discusses with Rev. Herbert F. Vetter his collaboration with psychoanalyst Rita Rogers on a biography about her family's survival of the Holocaust (The Alchemy of Survival).
Mack also discusses the psychological causes of the nuclear arms race, the use of violence between nations and peoples, the reasons why a person may become a psychiatrist, and the origins of his own career in psychiatry.
