Maryam Henein is a Canadian-American investigative journalist, documentary filmmaker, functional medicine consultant, and entrepreneur. With over 25 years of experience in journalism, she is best known for directing the award-winning documentary Vanishing of the Bees, narrated by Elliot Page, which explores the global decline of honeybee populations and its implications for the environment and agriculture.

In addition to her filmmaking, Henein is the founder of HoneyColony, an online health and wellness magazine and marketplace that promotes natural health solutions and investigative reporting on topics often overlooked by mainstream media.
