1 01:00:01,860 --> 01:00:04,820 The video you're about to see is a very, very important interview. 00:26.560 --> 00:32.160 I did it back in 1980, in June of 1980, with Antony Sutton. 00:32.160 --> 00:38.160 And, of course, Antony had been a scholar at the Hoover Institute for really many, many years. 00:38.160 --> 00:44.160 And while he was there, he wrote the three volumes of Western Technology and Soviet Economic Development. 00:44.160 --> 00:51.560 He wrote his book, National Suicide, and these books run into the background of the funding of the Soviet Union from its inception, 00:51.560 --> 00:53.760 and, of course, his book, National Suicide. 00:53.960 --> 00:59.360 It went into the fact that America was financing the Soviet Union all during the Vietnam War, 00:59.360 --> 01:05.760 while the Soviet Union was financing the North Vietnamese, who were killing our boys in South Vietnam. 01:05.760 --> 01:16.160 In fact, everything was done to prevent Professor Sutton from either publishing the third volume of Western Technology or his book, National Suicide. 01:16.160 --> 01:22.360 Tremendous pressure was brought to bear on his publisher so that National Suicide could not be brought out. 01:22.560 --> 01:29.960 So the American people were not to know that during the Vietnam War, we were financing indirectly the North Vietnamese. 01:29.960 --> 01:33.960 Well, let me just show you a few of the books that Professor Sutton has written. 01:33.960 --> 01:46.960 And these would include, of course, the Western Technology and Soviet Economic Development, Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution, Wall Street and FDR, 01:47.960 --> 01:53.560 Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler, and, of course, National Suicide. 01:53.560 --> 02:02.560 He's probably written at least ten other books, including The Federal Reserve Conspiracy, The Trilateralists Over Washington, volumes one and two. 02:02.560 --> 02:07.160 He's written extensively on the Skull and Bone Society, on gold, on diamonds. 02:07.160 --> 02:14.560 Certainly, Anthony Sutton is one of the finest writers that we have within the conservative movement today. 02:14.560 --> 02:18.160 And for the last 20 years, he hasn't been doing interviews. 02:18.160 --> 02:24.160 I've contacted him a number of times, asked him to do radio interviews with me, but he is unavailable. 02:24.160 --> 02:34.760 I think that you're going to find that this interview will explain to you who it was who financed Adolf Hitler and gave him the capability of waging war against the West, 02:34.960 --> 02:46.560 who it was who financed the Bolshevik movement after it was established in 1917 and kept it going until the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. 02:46.560 --> 02:49.160 You're going to learn about the Trilateral Commission. 02:49.160 --> 02:53.360 You're going to learn about who controls the media in the United States. 02:53.360 --> 02:59.560 Indeed, who is the invisible government and what the ultimate goal of that invisible government is, 02:59.560 --> 03:08.960 and why that invisible government financed Adolf Hitler and finances communism and has financed communism since its inception. 03:08.960 --> 03:11.160 And now to Anthony Sutton. 03:14.560 --> 03:20.360 Dr. Sutton, you wrote three series of books while you were a research fellow at the Hoover Institute. 03:20.360 --> 03:24.560 Can you give me basically the background of the content of these series? 03:24.560 --> 03:33.560 Yes, the series I wrote at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, concerned the transfers of Western technology to the Soviet Union 03:33.560 --> 03:42.560 and essentially comprised three individual books. Each book covers a period of time since 1917. 03:42.560 --> 03:46.560 And then you wrote a second series of books on Wall Street. 03:46.560 --> 03:52.560 Yes, these were trade books. In other words, they're not academic books. They're written for the general public. 03:52.560 --> 04:03.560 They concerned the buildup of the three types of socialism, Bolshevik socialism in Russia, what we might call welfare socialism in the United States, 04:03.560 --> 04:14.560 and Hitlerian or national socialism. And each book examines the financing and the contributions made by Wall Street, by international bankers, 04:14.560 --> 04:18.560 to the development of that specific form of socialism. 04:18.560 --> 04:24.560 Now, in your research and analysis and your efforts to bring out the facts about what was going on in our society, 04:24.560 --> 04:35.560 did you encounter any effort to discourage you, to prevent you from bringing out the background of America's involvement in the financing of international communism? 04:35.560 --> 04:50.560 Yes, very definitely. For example, when I was at the Hoover Institution in 1972, I went to Miami Beach to give some testimony before the Republican National Committee. 04:50.560 --> 05:01.560 And although a congressman had hand-delivered to the wine services this testimony, which was later printed, the wine services refused to transmit it to the newspapers. 05:01.560 --> 05:14.560 Then when I got back to the Hoover Institution in California, I was called into the office of the director, and I was told in no uncertain terms not to make any more speeches like that, 05:14.560 --> 05:18.560 and that this information should not be made public. 05:18.560 --> 05:25.560 This was the information that we were giving the Soviet Union the technology to develop its war potential? 05:25.560 --> 05:30.560 Oh, yes. At that time, we were in Vietnam, and as you know, the Soviets were supplying the North Vietnamese. 05:30.560 --> 05:31.560 This was 1972? 05:31.560 --> 05:42.560 1972, yes. And for example, I knew that the Gorky Plant, which was built by the Ford Motor Company, the Gorky Plant in Russia produces the gas series of vehicles. 05:42.560 --> 05:51.560 The gas vehicles had been seen on Ho Chi Minh's trail. We were supplying equipment to the Gorky Plant in the middle of the Vietnamese war, 05:51.560 --> 05:59.560 and these trucks were being used to carry ammunition supplies, which were killing Americans. I thought this was morally wrong, and I said so in Miami Beach and at the Hoover Institution. 05:59.560 --> 06:03.560 And it was this type of information that was suppressed. 06:03.560 --> 06:07.560 And so what eventually happened as far as your activities at the Hoover Institution were concerned? 06:07.560 --> 06:19.560 Well, I didn't pay much heed to the warnings. I published a book called National Suicide in the following year, which summarized our assistance to the Soviets, our military assistance to the Soviets. 06:19.560 --> 06:27.560 And when that book came out, again, there was great pressure to stop the book, both the publishers and me personally. 06:27.560 --> 06:37.560 And I felt I couldn't take this, and a few years later, I just left the Hoover Institution. Since 1975, I've been an independent author without any ties whatsoever. 06:37.560 --> 06:47.560 Let's go a little bit into the background of the financing of the German war machine that we fought in the period 1941 to 1945. 06:47.560 --> 07:00.560 Could we start, first of all, with the original financing of Hitler between 1922 and 1923, when he was first making his effort to come into prominence in Germany? 07:00.560 --> 07:08.560 The original financing of Hitler in the years 1922 came only partly from Germany. 07:08.560 --> 07:13.560 One of the most prominent Americans concerned with financing Hitler was Henry Ford. 07:13.560 --> 07:18.560 In fact, Henry Ford received a medal in 1938 for his assistance to the early Nazi Party. 07:18.560 --> 07:27.560 Then, of course, Hitler had his attempted push in 1923. He went to jail, and then we begin another era in the rise of Hitler. 07:27.560 --> 07:32.560 Right. And, of course, he eventually came to power in 1933 by the electoral process. 07:33.560 --> 07:38.560 What about the financing of Hitler's electoral activities in 1933? 07:38.560 --> 07:42.560 This I can trace. I have traced it very exactly. 07:42.560 --> 07:53.560 I discovered amongst the Nuremberg records a series of bank transfer slips to the Dauberg-Schickler Bank in Berlin, to an account which was under the control of Rudolf Hess. 07:53.560 --> 07:59.560 And this was the fund that was used to finance Hitler's access to power in March 1973. 07:59.560 --> 08:15.560 And amongst the corporations that transferred money to Hitler, I find not only R.G. Farben, which is quite widely known, but also German General Electric, A.E.G., which is under the control of General Electric in the United States, or was at that time. 08:15.560 --> 08:19.560 And companies like Osram and... 08:19.560 --> 08:23.560 Now, what was the tie-in between Osram and General Electric? 08:23.560 --> 08:37.560 The tie-in was a share tie-in. International General Electric in the United States had controlling interest in German General Electric, and also through share interlocks, a controlling interest in Osram in Germany. 08:37.560 --> 08:45.560 So then we have Ford, and we have General Electric helping to finance Adolf Hitler's rise to power. Were any other large American corporations involved? 08:45.560 --> 09:01.560 Very definitely. Standard Oil, through its technical association with I.G. Farben, for example, Germany could not have gone to war in 1939 without tetraethyl. 09:01.560 --> 09:08.560 You need tetraethyl to raise the octane value of aviation gasoline. Germany had no means of doing that. 09:08.560 --> 09:28.560 This was developed in the ethyl laboratories in the United States and transferred to the Germans. Standard Oil came up with the hydrogenation idea, which was very essential for Germany in the 1930s, because to raise the quality of its gasoline for aviation purposes, this was transferred to the Nazis. 09:28.560 --> 09:55.560 And ITT, for example, International Telephone and Telegraph, was very intimately associated with the Nazis through Dr. Schroeder, who was head of the ITT subsidiaries in Germany. And ITT controlled companies which made not only electrical instruments, but also the Focke-Wulf plant, which made fighter airplanes. 09:56.560 --> 10:03.560 So what you're suggesting then is that American corporations were helping to finance the German industry that was building up the war potential? 10:03.560 --> 10:23.560 American corporations, only a few, not many, financed Hitler through their subsidiaries. They transferred technology, they transferred material assistance, for example stocks of tetraethyl, before the Germans could manufacture it under the joint manufacturing agreement with the United States. 10:23.560 --> 10:34.560 And also they financed this. For example, Standard Oil financed in 1933 the development of the gasoline industry in Germany, which was needed to fight World War II. 10:34.560 --> 10:44.560 And that's a very interesting point. Could you go a little bit into the background of where Germany got its oil to fight the Second World War? Because certainly Germany doesn't have oil resources. 10:44.560 --> 11:06.560 Germany does not have oil resources, that's true. It used in World War II synthetic oil, which it got from coal. And the basic technical processes for the development of oil from coal came from the United States, from essentially from the Standard Oil laboratories, which had this technical assistance agreement with IG Farben. 11:06.560 --> 11:22.560 And of course IG Farben contributed something like 60% of the explosives needed by the German Wehrmacht, probably about 40-50% of the gasoline needed by the Wehrmacht and by the German Air Force, Luftwaffe. 11:22.560 --> 11:27.560 And was there a definite interlock between IG Farben and Standard Oil? 11:27.560 --> 11:48.560 The interlock was at the technical level, the exchange of patents. It was through a financial-technical assistance agreement. There were other interlocks with the United States, through subsidiary IG Farben in the United States. But with Standard Oil, the interlocks were at the technical and financial level. 11:49.560 --> 11:58.560 And is it a fact, it's been stated, that there were members of the board of directors of Standard Oil who were also on the board of directors of American IG Farben? 11:58.560 --> 12:07.560 Yes, Walter Tiegel is one, the name that comes to mind. There were several, there were several directors. 12:07.560 --> 12:13.560 Was there an interlock with Ford between IG Farben and American IG Farben and the Ford Motor Company? 12:13.560 --> 12:18.560 Not that I can recall, not offhand. 12:18.560 --> 12:34.560 So basically what we're seeing then is American industry helping to provide the technology, helping to provide the finance, helping to provide the material that is going to allow Hitler to create his war machine. 12:34.560 --> 12:36.560 Yes, that is correct. 12:36.560 --> 13:03.560 Now, in your book, Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler, you talked about the bombing patterns during the Second World War. And the fact that it was amazing that there were certain factories that were not bombed, whereas the majority of the German factories were decimated, German-owned factories. There were certain factories that tied into this interlock we've already alluded to that for some strange reason seemed to escape the devastation of our saturation bombing. 13:03.560 --> 13:26.560 In World War II, the German electrical industry was or should have been a prime target for Western bombing. But in practice, the German General Electric plants were not bombed. Of the ten major plants, not one was bombed and half a dozen others had trifling damage, broken windows, that kind of thing. 13:26.560 --> 13:40.560 So what we have here is a very interesting case of an industry which should have been bombed in World War II, but was not bombed. And yet we have a market ownership which raises a certain amount of suspicion as to why it was not bombed. 13:40.560 --> 13:47.560 But as far as the German-owned electrical companies, did they undergo a rather heavy bombing? 13:47.560 --> 14:05.560 I took a look at that. The Siemens plant, for example, they were bombed. There's no question. But the industry was not targeted as a general target. So Siemens, for example, was not bombed as heavily as, say, tank plants or aviation plants, that kind of thing. 14:05.560 --> 14:09.560 You mentioned the Ford plant in Cologne. Was this a prime military target? 14:09.560 --> 14:25.560 The Ford plant in Cologne should have been a prime military target. For example, the British Air Force, the Royal Air Force, did bomb the Ford plant at Poissy in France. But the Ford plant in Cologne, which was by far the largest Ford plant in Germany, was not bombed in World War II. 14:25.560 --> 14:29.560 But did our military planners intend to bomb it? In other words, was it on the aiming report? 14:29.560 --> 14:43.560 Well, I did look at the aiming reports for the plants in Cologne. Ford was known about. They knew that it was producing equipment for the Wehrmacht. But it was not bombed. It was scheduled as a target, but it was not bombed. 14:43.560 --> 14:53.560 So somewhere along the line, as far as the planning was concerned, the name of the Ford Motor Plant in Cologne was deleted, and yet the city of Cologne itself was totally decimated. 14:53.560 --> 15:15.560 The city of Cologne was decimated, as of course many other cities in Germany were decimated. But somewhere along the line, something happened. I suspect it was in the aiming committers. And without question, orders were sent out not to bomb certain targets, even though these were prime military targets. 15:15.560 --> 15:27.560 And that's rather reminiscent of some of the orders that went out during the Korean War, some of the orders that went out during the Vietnamese War, to leave specific targets within the enemy's domain, untouched by our strategic bombing. 15:27.560 --> 15:30.560 I understand that was so, although I've not investigated it. 15:30.560 --> 15:47.560 Now, in your book, Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler, there was one very interesting section about a special fund that Heinrich Himmler had, and the funding of money from German corporations into this fund, even up into the years 1943 and 1944. 15:47.560 --> 15:57.560 And many of these corporations had strong ties into the American corporations, into the American parent corporations. Could you tell us a little bit about the Kepler Fund? 15:57.560 --> 16:07.560 The Kepler Fund was also known as the Konto S Fund. It was what we might call Heinrich Himmler's personal slush fund. He used it for his own personal projects. 16:07.560 --> 16:21.560 And what amazed me was both in 1933 and in 1944, the two days, the two years for which I examined the records, over half the funds came from American corporations. 16:21.560 --> 16:49.560 For example, in 1933, ITT, Standard Oil, General Electric, and possibly AusRAM were contributors. Even in 1944, in the middle of World War II, we find that ITT was funding funds to Heinrich Himmler's fund through Schröder, who was the chairman of the ITT subsidiaries in Germany. 16:49.560 --> 16:58.560 We also find that DEPAG, the Standard Oil subsidiary in Germany, was financing Heinrich Himmler. And this was in the middle of World War II. 16:58.560 --> 17:02.560 Now, were these facts ever brought out at the Nuremberg hearings? 17:02.560 --> 17:12.560 They were never brought out at the Nuremberg hearings, although the documents do exist within the files, within the records. They have not been published, as far as I know. 17:12.560 --> 17:14.560 And you actually have access to these records? 17:14.560 --> 17:24.560 Yes, there are some 400 tons of these records available, and many of them were at the Hoover Institution, or copies were at the Hoover Institution, and that's where I found the original documentation. 17:24.560 --> 17:36.560 I think it's a tragic part of our history when the American public doesn't realize the interplay then between great American corporations and the financing, the funding of the Nazi movement. 17:36.560 --> 17:49.560 Now, I wanted to talk just a little bit about the Nuremberg trials, because of the Nuremberg trials, the Nazis, the Nazi war criminals, the Nazi generals were held specifically guilty for what transpired. 17:49.560 --> 18:00.560 Were there any Americans involved? Were any Americans indicted? Were any Americans convicted as far as the financing of the Nazi war movement? 18:01.560 --> 18:22.560 Very definitely not. I looked at the criteria for what we might call war crimes under the Nuremberg Tribunal, and there's no question in my mind that certain Americans well fitted the criteria, which required indictment and trial. But no Americans were ever brought to trial. 18:23.560 --> 18:29.560 Do you think there was any conscious effort to conceal this fact, both from the Nuremberg war tribunal and from the American public? 18:29.560 --> 18:44.560 Well, there was a conscious effort in the fact that these businessmen were very prominent in stating in 1946 that they had no knowledge of what Hitler was doing, and yet they were intimately involved with the buildup of Hitler. 18:44.560 --> 18:56.560 I suspect that this was not published in the media at the time, although I've not checked that. But certainly the role of American corporations and American businessmen in aiding Hitler has not been published. 18:56.560 --> 19:09.560 Now, what about the actual financing? What about the loans from large American banks, from large British banks, to Hitler's government in that period between 1933 and 1939, when Hitler was preparing for war? 19:09.560 --> 19:18.560 Well, you've got to go back a little earlier and look at what are known as the Young loans, which were very important because I think they brought about the economic collapse of Germany in 1933. 19:18.560 --> 19:19.560 That was the Young plan. 19:19.560 --> 19:34.560 This was Owen Young, who was of course chairman of General Electric. Here we've got a man who actually made the loans as an officer of the United States government, which brought about the collapse of Germany in 1933, enabling Hitler to take over. 19:34.560 --> 19:52.560 And then subsequent to 1933, you get a series of loans, a very good one is Standard Oil, which loans several million dollars, at least, to Germany to build up its aviation gasoline facilities and the other examples. 19:52.560 --> 19:59.560 Fine. Well, I'd like to get a little bit into the background of the financing of Bolshevism because I think this is vitally important. 19:59.560 --> 20:10.560 And we can go back to the period after the second revolution, which was in October and November of 1917, the initial financing of Lenin's movement. 20:10.560 --> 20:22.560 How did it tie into the American corporations? Was there any American involvement in that period between 1917 and 1918 when Bolshevism was just beginning to get a foothold in Russia? 20:23.560 --> 20:26.560 Yes, there were several incidents. 20:26.560 --> 20:35.560 The most important is one involving Colonel William Boyce Thompson, who was the largest shareholder in the Chase Bank, which of course today is Chase Manhattan Bank. 20:35.560 --> 20:47.560 And I published in one of my books a copy of a cablegram, which transferred funds from New York to Petrograd in December 1917. 20:47.560 --> 21:00.560 One million dollars, to be precise. And Colonel Thompson made the statement later that this one million dollars was given to the Bolsheviks to consolidate, that they had just begun to take over Russia. 21:00.560 --> 21:07.560 They only controlled Moscow and Petrograd at that time to aid the control that the Bolsheviks were extending in Russia. 21:07.560 --> 21:15.560 This is a very clear case. One million dollars, American funds, transferred through an American Wall Street intermediary to the Bolsheviks. 21:15.560 --> 21:20.560 And didn't you publish that document here in Wall Street in the rise of Bolshevism? 21:20.560 --> 21:33.560 I published two statements. One is a copy of the cablegram and the other is a copy of the news clip of the statement made by Colonel Thompson at that time that he had given main discontent. 21:33.560 --> 21:38.560 Now why would an American capitalist, an American financier, help to aid Bolshevism? 21:38.560 --> 21:45.560 The only answer, and of course this puzzled me for years, you know, why, why, because we understand there to be an opposition. 21:45.560 --> 21:53.560 And the only answer I can come to is one of captive markets. The United States did not want another United States in the world. 21:53.560 --> 21:58.560 And of course if you look at the world map, Russia is two or three times larger than the United States. 21:58.560 --> 22:02.560 Imagine this as another United States, as another competitor to the United States. 22:02.560 --> 22:08.560 What the United States wanted, or Wall Street wanted, was a captive market. 22:08.560 --> 22:16.560 And of course socialism is a captive market because my earlier studies at Stanford University have brought out the fact that a social system cannot innovate. 22:16.560 --> 22:19.560 It's going to import innovation and technology from the West. 22:19.560 --> 22:36.560 And so I think the aim behind this was to encourage the development of Marxism and other types of socialism because this would give these Wall Street bankers control of a world market, a captive market. 22:36.560 --> 22:41.560 At the end of the First World War, Russia was devastated by famine. 22:41.560 --> 22:44.560 And America sent a relief mission. It was the Hoover mission. 22:45.560 --> 22:51.560 Do you know any of the facts surrounding the activities of the Hoover Commission? 22:51.560 --> 22:58.560 Well, there's no question that in 1922, 1923, Russia was finished. 22:58.560 --> 23:03.560 Industrial output was perhaps eight or ten percent of 1913 figures. 23:03.560 --> 23:06.560 And people were starving by the hundreds of thousands. 23:06.560 --> 23:13.560 And the Hoover mission was organized, of course, to send aid to Russia. 23:13.560 --> 23:20.560 But most of the aid went to the Bolsheviks, who controlled really quite a small part of Russia at that time. 23:20.560 --> 23:26.560 Only a very small part of the aid went to the White Russians or to the Far East. 23:26.560 --> 23:35.560 And then after 1922, 1923, Lenin instituted something known as the New Economic Policy, or this series of five-year plans. 23:35.560 --> 23:44.560 Can you tell us about the five-year plans and the part that the major American corporations, major world corporations played in building up the Soviet Union? 23:44.560 --> 23:47.560 Well, there are two separate phases here. 23:47.560 --> 23:52.560 The New Economic Policy was started in 1923 by Lenin. 23:52.560 --> 24:04.560 And I found, and I published this in my first book from Stanford, that every single Russian industry was rebuilt or restarted by foreign corporations, 24:04.560 --> 24:07.560 mostly German, British, French, and American. 24:07.560 --> 24:15.560 By 1928, Russia was back to approximately its 1913 industrial output. 24:15.560 --> 24:22.560 And at that point, you should begin to think of these grandiose five-year plans. 24:22.560 --> 24:31.560 And in 1928, the Gosplan, which is the Russian government planning commission, actually designed an initial five-year plan. 24:31.560 --> 24:37.560 But this was thrown out, it was inadequate, and American corporations were built in, were brought into Russia. 24:37.560 --> 24:44.560 And the first five-year plan and the second five-year plan were actually designed in the United States by American corporations. 24:44.560 --> 24:48.560 And what were these corporations, which ones specifically were involved? 24:48.560 --> 24:57.560 The design of the first five-year plan was by a corporation probably not known to most Americans, Albert Kahn. 24:57.560 --> 25:03.560 But Albert Kahn was the foremost industrial architect in the United States. 25:03.560 --> 25:09.560 And Albert Kahn laid out the basics of the first five-year plan for the Soviets. 25:09.560 --> 25:18.560 And then we find, again, the same corporations involved with the construction of the plants. 25:18.560 --> 25:29.560 International General Electric, certainly, DuPont, Ford Motor, Hercules Motor, Curtis Wright in aircraft engines, 25:29.560 --> 25:35.560 and even some corporations which today were forgotten about like Valti and Chance Vought. 25:35.560 --> 25:37.560 These were aircraft manufacturers at that time. 25:37.560 --> 25:41.560 And so American corporations came in and they built the first five-year plan. 25:41.560 --> 25:47.560 But what was important, the Soviets then copied these plans, and this accounts for the tremendous Russian output. 25:47.560 --> 25:53.560 They took this initial equipment and they multiplied it, they copied it by the hundred. 25:53.560 --> 25:58.560 Now how about Ford Motor Company? Did they play a part in the building up of the Soviet potential? 25:58.560 --> 26:01.560 Very definitely. Ford Motor Company built the Gorky Plant. 26:01.560 --> 26:06.560 And the Gorky Plant produces the gas series of vehicles, that's GAZ. 26:06.560 --> 26:09.560 And these are trucks and there's some automobiles. 26:09.560 --> 26:15.560 And right from the early 1930s you find that the gas plant has had military potential. 26:15.560 --> 26:18.560 And Ford knew that when it went in and built the Gorky Plant. 26:18.560 --> 26:23.560 And we know it because I found statements to this effect within the State Department files. 26:23.560 --> 26:30.560 Sometimes we hear the name Averill Harriman. Did he play a part in building up the Soviet technology? 26:30.560 --> 26:37.560 Very definitely. In fact, Averill Harriman came out of the Soviet Union financially out of profit. 26:37.560 --> 26:42.560 He took over the Georgian-Manganese concession in the early 1920s. 26:42.560 --> 26:45.560 He got this back on his feet for the Soviets. 26:45.560 --> 26:49.560 And Manganese became a prime export for the Soviets. 26:49.560 --> 26:53.560 And so they were able to sell this aboard, get foreign exchange, which financed the industrialization. 26:53.560 --> 26:58.560 And then they bought out Harriman about 1929. 26:58.560 --> 27:04.560 And Averill Harriman received his compensation, one million dollars more than he put in in the first place. 27:04.560 --> 27:07.560 How about Armand Hammer of Occidental Petroleum? 27:07.560 --> 27:10.560 Armand Hammer is a very interesting example. 27:10.560 --> 27:18.560 Armand Hammer received the first foreign concession in 1922 in Asbestos in the Earl Mountains. 27:18.560 --> 27:25.560 And he also conducted for the Soviets a number of other enterprises, right down to pens and pencil manufacturing, for example. 27:25.560 --> 27:31.560 But Armand Hammer is interesting because his father, although Armand Hammer today is chairman of Occidental Petroleum Corporation, 27:31.560 --> 27:37.560 his father was Julius Hammer, who in 1919 was Secretary General of the Communist Party USA, 27:37.560 --> 27:41.560 which emphasizes the argument I made throughout my books, that at the top level, 27:41.560 --> 27:45.560 there's no difference between your top communist and your top capitalist, the interlink. 27:45.560 --> 27:52.560 You've got Armand Hammer, chairman of Occidental Petroleum, his father was Secretary of the Communist Party USA in 1919. 27:52.560 --> 27:54.560 So it's basically a power grab. 27:54.560 --> 27:57.560 It's a power grab, an international power grab. 27:57.560 --> 28:04.560 Now, during the Second World War, why Russia was pretty well decimated once again by the German forces, 28:04.560 --> 28:13.560 what part did the American Lend-Lease program play in building up Russia's industrial capacity after the Second World War? 28:13.560 --> 28:20.560 Well, Lend-Lease built up Russia's capacity, modernized it, and expanded it during World War II. 28:20.560 --> 28:25.560 And there was some continuation all the way through perhaps to 1948, 1949. 28:25.560 --> 28:32.560 There was a program after Lend-Lease, which was supposed to be restricted to foodstuffs and industrial materials. 28:32.560 --> 28:36.560 In effect, I checked the records in the warehouses in Central Maryland, 28:36.560 --> 28:41.560 I find that even after World War II, and this was against the intent of Congress, I suspect, 28:41.560 --> 28:47.560 there was a massive transfer of the latest industrial equipment to the Soviet Union under the so-called Lend-Lease program. 28:47.560 --> 28:53.560 Now, in 1948, there was a fascinating book came out by Major Racy Jordan, 28:53.560 --> 29:00.560 in which he talked about American aid to the communists as far as their ability to build nuclear weapons. 29:01.560 --> 29:07.560 Did you ever have an opportunity of verifying the facts that we had given them the heavy water, 29:07.560 --> 29:10.560 we'd given them the wherewithal to build their atomic weapons? 29:10.560 --> 29:20.560 Well, as part of the work I was doing at Stanford, I did investigate the shipping documents for Lend-Lease, 29:20.560 --> 29:24.560 and I took a sample of these documents, I checked them against Major Jordan. 29:24.560 --> 29:29.560 And broadly, Major Jordan was correct within say about 5%. 29:29.560 --> 29:38.560 And Major Jordan, of course, made the charge that we had shipped materials to the Soviets, 1944 and 1945, 29:38.560 --> 29:40.560 which were later used in their atomic program. 29:40.560 --> 29:42.560 There is no doubt he is correct. 29:42.560 --> 29:48.560 We shipped heavy water, which is essential, but we shipped other items, which are perhaps less obvious to the layman. 29:48.560 --> 29:53.560 We shipped, for example, aluminum tubes, and aluminum tubes are essential for atomic energy development. 29:53.560 --> 29:57.560 We shipped graphite, and graphite is another essential component. 29:57.560 --> 30:03.560 So generally, as far as I could check, and I checked the original government Lend-Lease document, 30:03.560 --> 30:06.560 General Major Jordan was correct. 30:06.560 --> 30:11.560 Now, as the years have gone by, of course, we see a growing Soviet nuclear threat. 30:11.560 --> 30:14.560 The Soviets now have MIRV missiles. 30:14.560 --> 30:17.560 Can you give a little of the background on how the Soviet Union, 30:17.560 --> 30:22.560 which really didn't have the technology to develop those MIRV missiles that threaten our cities today, 30:22.560 --> 30:25.560 how were they able to develop the MIRV capacity? 30:25.560 --> 30:32.560 Well, you've got to go back and look at how the Russians were able to develop a rocket space technology anyway. 30:32.560 --> 30:38.560 What they did after World War II was, American forces were held back for a while, 30:38.560 --> 30:40.560 while the Soviets occupied East Germany. 30:40.560 --> 30:42.560 They stripped East Germany. 30:42.560 --> 30:46.560 They took back the latest of the V-2 rocket technology from Peenemunde and other places, 30:46.560 --> 30:51.560 and the V-2 became the basis of the Russian space technology. 30:52.560 --> 30:59.560 Now, if you skip the intervening years, you will find when you come to the early 1970s 30:59.560 --> 31:04.560 that the Russians did not have the capability to MIRV their missiles. 31:04.560 --> 31:11.560 And in particular, they lacked the ability to produce the very precision, 31:11.560 --> 31:15.560 micro-miniature ball bearings that are needed for the control systems. 31:15.560 --> 31:19.560 There was only one company in the world, Byron Chuck and Grinder, 31:19.560 --> 31:24.560 which could make the machinery, which machines the races within which these ball bearings run. 31:24.560 --> 31:29.560 And without those races, you just cannot make MIRV missiles in any quantity. 31:29.560 --> 31:31.560 You can make one off, but not in quantity. 31:31.560 --> 31:38.560 Byron Chuck and Grinder was allowed to ship to the Soviet Union 45 of these machines at a time, 31:38.560 --> 31:40.560 when we only had 33 in the United States. 31:40.560 --> 31:43.560 There wasn't any objection to doing this? 31:43.560 --> 31:45.560 I objected at Miami Beach in 1972. 31:45.560 --> 31:49.560 Other people objected, but the objections were squashed. 31:49.560 --> 31:54.560 And predominantly at fault here was Henry Kissinger and the incoming administration, 31:54.560 --> 31:56.560 the incoming Nixon administration. 31:56.560 --> 31:59.560 This was known, I'm sure it was known in DOD. 31:59.560 --> 32:02.560 If I knew it, then certainly DOD knew it. 32:02.560 --> 32:06.560 But the objections were squashed, and there was suppression of the information. 32:06.560 --> 32:11.560 And so once again, we see America building up the military capacity, 32:11.560 --> 32:13.560 the nuclear threat from the Soviet Union. 32:13.560 --> 32:17.560 Well, this goes, you know, when you talk about MIRVing of missiles, 32:17.560 --> 32:21.560 you're talking about a quantum jump in your military technology. 32:21.560 --> 32:27.560 Now, I'm not a military man, but to me, the ability to do that is a massively forward. 32:27.560 --> 32:31.560 And we enabled them to do it, and we did it knowingly and deliberately. 32:31.560 --> 32:35.560 During the Vietnamese War, the Soviet Union and the Eastern European satellites 32:35.560 --> 32:39.560 were the primary suppliers of war materials to the North Vietnamese 32:39.560 --> 32:42.560 who were killing American boys in South Vietnam. 32:42.560 --> 32:45.560 Would you comment on our aid and trade with the Soviet Union 32:45.560 --> 32:48.560 and with the Eastern European satellites during that period of time? 32:48.560 --> 32:52.560 Well, there's no question that the Soviets were the prime suppliers 32:52.560 --> 32:56.560 of military equipment and supplies to the North Vietnamese. 32:56.560 --> 32:59.560 Let me give you an example. 32:59.560 --> 33:03.560 The American pilots, as they flew over the Ho Chi Minh Trail, 33:03.560 --> 33:08.560 described the trucks that they were seeing as American trucks. 33:08.560 --> 33:11.560 Well, they were American trucks because they came from the Gorky plant, 33:11.560 --> 33:14.560 and the Gorky was built by Henry Ford. 33:14.560 --> 33:19.560 And so you have the situation where we were, in effect, 33:19.560 --> 33:23.560 supplying both sides in the Vietnamese War. 33:23.560 --> 33:25.560 But the trucks were being built by the Soviet Union. 33:25.560 --> 33:28.560 However, were they getting any materials from the United States to help build those trucks? 33:28.560 --> 33:32.560 Yes. In the early 1970s, I know specifically of shipments of equipment 33:32.560 --> 33:35.560 into the Gorky plant while the war was going on, 33:35.560 --> 33:40.560 which, in effect, were aiding the Soviets to build more trucks to be used 33:40.560 --> 33:43.560 by the North Vietnamese. 33:43.560 --> 33:46.560 How about loans? Was America extending loans to the Soviet Union 33:46.560 --> 33:50.560 during this period when they were the primary financiers of the North Vietnamese? 33:50.560 --> 33:55.560 Yes. Beginning about 1970, there was a massive grant of loans to the Soviet Union. 33:55.560 --> 34:01.560 I'd say by about 1976, it must have totaled perhaps $40 billion, outstanding. 34:01.560 --> 34:05.560 And so this, of course, these loans were used to enable the Soviet Union 34:05.560 --> 34:10.560 to purchase industrial equipment in the United States. 34:10.560 --> 34:13.560 And this industrial equipment was used to manufacture, in part, 34:13.560 --> 34:16.560 military supplies, which were used against us in Vietnam. 34:16.560 --> 34:21.560 How about Russian shipping that was being used, ferry supplies to North Vietnam? 34:21.560 --> 34:25.560 Shipping is a very interesting example, because the Soviets published a shipping register, 34:25.560 --> 34:29.560 about 6,000 ships. And I analyzed every one of these ships, 34:29.560 --> 34:34.560 both the origin of the technology of the ship itself, the hull, and the engine. 34:34.560 --> 34:36.560 Most of them are marine diesel engines. 34:36.560 --> 34:41.560 And I find that 60% of the Soviet merchant marine, which, of course, has military usefulness, 34:41.560 --> 34:44.560 60% was built abroad. 34:44.560 --> 34:48.560 Only 40% in the Soviet Union, and that largely to Western design. 34:48.560 --> 34:52.560 But when you come to marine diesel engines, you find something really fascinating. 34:52.560 --> 35:00.560 You find that 80% of the marine diesel engines in Soviet merchant ships are Western engines. 35:00.560 --> 35:30.560 For example, Bermuda, Bermuda and Bermuda, Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and Bermuda and B 49:00.560 --> 49:05.680 Professor Quigley tells us that the central banks of the world are working to create a 49:05.680 --> 49:10.820 fast a feudal system by which they can control the governments and then the 49:10.820 --> 49:14.740 governments will control the people of the world the true objective of what's 49:14.740 --> 49:21.260 going on today is the establishment of a one-world government a new world 49:21.260 --> 49:26.640 economic order and a new world spirituality and behind everything that 49:26.640 --> 49:31.980 is transpiring today are dark and sinister spiritual forces for indeed we 49:31.980 --> 49:38.180 are engaged in a spiritual battle if you read Ephesians 612 you'll find this 49:38.180 --> 49:41.940 reference for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against 49:41.940 --> 49:46.200 principalities against powers against the rulers of the darkness of this world 49:46.200 --> 49:52.060 against spiritual wickedness in high places wherefore take unto you the whole 49:52.060 --> 49:56.720 armor of God that you may able to withstand in the evil day and having 49:56.720 --> 50:02.880 done all to stand ladies and gentlemen the forces which control the council 50:02.880 --> 50:07.080 on foreign relations and the trilateral Commission and the Bilderbergers and the 50:07.080 --> 50:11.200 Masonic movement and the skull and bone society and the Federal Reserve Board 50:11.200 --> 50:17.240 and the central banks of the world are joined together in a continuity of evil 50:17.240 --> 50:21.940 there are dark and sinister spiritual forces of the in the world today they 50:21.940 --> 50:26.200 have financed communism since its inception they financed Adolf Hitler 50:26.200 --> 50:32.120 they took us into a no-win war in Korea they took us into a no-win war in Vietnam 50:32.120 --> 50:36.720 and of course today they are building up the military potential of Communist 50:36.720 --> 50:41.960 China will America survive as a free nation only if the people of this nation 50:41.960 --> 50:47.440 are willing to join together and become informed become involved in the political 50:47.440 --> 50:51.880 process first of all to understand it's a spiritual battle to come to understand 50:51.880 --> 50:56.740 why America was a great Christian nation at one time and then how we lost 50:56.740 --> 51:04.140 that freedom we are told by Abraham Lincoln and this is what he wrote back 51:04.140 --> 51:10.180 here's what he said back at the Lyceum in Springfield Illinois in about 1840 at 51:10.180 --> 51:13.180 what point should we expect the approach of danger by what means should we 51:13.180 --> 51:18.300 fortify ourselves against it should we expect some transatlantic giant to step 51:18.300 --> 51:24.320 the ocean and crush us with a blow never all the armies of Europe and Asia 51:24.320 --> 51:28.760 combined could never by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a mark on 51:28.760 --> 51:33.080 the Blue Ridge then at what point should we expect the approach of danger and I 51:33.080 --> 51:38.520 answer if it ever reaches it must spring among us it can never come from abroad if 51:38.520 --> 51:43.800 destruction be our lot we ourselves must be its authors and its finishers as a 51:43.940 --> 51:49.580 nation of free men we should live on through all time or die by suicide and 51:49.580 --> 51:54.060 then let me close with that wonderful quotation from James Russell Lowell 51:54.060 --> 52:02.140 written in 1844 and this is what he wrote once to every man and nation comes 52:02.140 --> 52:06.940 the moment to decide in that strife of truth with falsehood for the good or 52:07.080 --> 52:13.600 evil side some great cause God's new Messiah offering each the bloom or 52:13.600 --> 52:20.800 blight and the strife goes on forever tricks the darkness and the light then 52:20.800 --> 52:26.480 to side with truth is noble here to share a wretched crust error cause 52:26.480 --> 52:32.800 brings faith fame and fortune and this just prospers to be just then it is the 52:32.800 --> 52:37.740 brave man chooses while the coward stands aside until the multitudes make 52:37.740 --> 52:43.140 virtue of the faith they have denied though the cause of evil prospers yet 52:43.140 --> 52:47.620 his truth alone is strong though our portion be the scaffold and upon the 52:47.620 --> 52:54.420 throne be wrong but that scaffold sways the future for in the dim unknown 52:54.420 --> 53:01.860 standeth God within the shadows keeping watch above his own 53:02.160 --> 53:08.320 subsidiaries they transferred technology they transferred material 53:08.320 --> 53:12.520 assistance for example stocks of tetraethyl before the Germans could 53:12.520 --> 53:15.320 manufacture it under the joint manufacturing agreement with the United 53:15.320 --> 53:20.960 States and also they financed this for example Standard Oil financed in 1933 53:20.960 --> 53:26.800 the development of the gasoline industry in Germany which was needed to fight 53:26.800 --> 53:29.760 World War two and that's a very interesting point could you go a little 53:29.860 --> 53:34.140 bit into the background of where Germany got its oil to fight the Second World 53:34.140 --> 53:38.620 War because certainly Germany doesn't have oil resources Germany does not have 53:38.620 --> 53:44.420 oil resources that's true it used in World War two synthetic oil which it 53:44.420 --> 53:51.860 did which it got from coal and the basic technical processes for the development 53:51.860 --> 53:56.100 of oil from coal came from the United States from essentially from the 53:56.100 --> 53:59.220 Standard Oil Barter which had this technical assistance agreement with 53:59.220 --> 54:04.920 IG Farben and because I G Farben contributed something like 60% of the 54:04.920 --> 54:11.560 explosives needed by the German Wehrmacht probably about 40 50 percent of the 54:11.560 --> 54:16.760 gasoline needed by the Wehrmacht and by the German Air Force the Luftwaffe and 54:16.760 --> 54:23.800 was there a definite interlock between IG Farben and Standard Oil the interlock 54:23.800 --> 54:29.740 was at the technical level the exchange of patents it was through a financial 54:29.740 --> 54:33.360 technical assistance agreement there were other interlocks with the United 54:33.360 --> 54:39.460 States through subsidiary IG Farben in the United States about with Standard 54:39.460 --> 54:44.440 Oil the interlocks with the technical and financial level and is it a fact 54:44.440 --> 54:47.920 it's been stated that there were members of the board of directors of Standard 54:47.920 --> 54:53.000 Oil who are also on the board of directors of American IG Farben 54:53.800 --> 54:59.820 yes Walter Tegel is one name that comes to mind when there were several those 54:59.820 --> 55:05.160 several days was an interlock with Ford between IG Farben and American IG Farben 55:05.160 --> 55:13.360 and the Ford Motor Company not that I can recall not offhand not offhand so 55:13.360 --> 55:18.000 basically what we're seeing then is American industry helping to provide the 55:18.000 --> 55:23.880 technology helping to provide the finance helping to provide the material 55:23.880 --> 55:29.120 that is going to allow Hitler to create his war machine yes that is correct that 55:29.120 --> 55:34.920 is correct now in your book Wall Street and the rise of Hitler you talked about 55:34.920 --> 55:38.640 the bombing patterns during the Second World War and the fact that it was 55:38.640 --> 55:42.440 amazing that there were certain factories that were not bombed whereas 55:42.440 --> 55:46.120 the majority of the German factories were decimated German owned factories 55:46.240 --> 55:49.200 there were certain factories that tied into this interlock we've already 55:49.200 --> 55:54.440 alluded to that for some strange reason seemed to escape the devastation of our 55:54.440 --> 56:02.520 saturation bombing in World War two the German electrical industry was or should 56:02.520 --> 56:08.600 have been a prime target for Western bombing but in practice the German 56:08.600 --> 56:14.040 General Electric plants were not bombed of the ten major plants not one was 56:14.040 --> 56:18.720 bombed and a half a dozen others had trifling damage broken windows that kind 56:18.720 --> 56:25.200 of thing so what we have here is a very interesting case of an industry which 56:25.200 --> 56:29.240 should have been bombed in World War two but was not bombed and yet we have a 56:29.240 --> 56:32.880 market ownership which raises a certain amount of suspicion as to why it was not 56:32.880 --> 56:39.040 bombed but as far as the German owned electrical companies did they undergo 56:39.040 --> 56:43.200 a rather heavy bombing I took a look at that the Siemens plant for example they 56:43.200 --> 56:48.720 were bombed there's no question about the industry was not targeted as a 56:48.720 --> 56:55.080 general target so Siemens for example is not bombed as heavily as a tank plants 56:55.080 --> 56:59.920 or aviation plants that kind of thing you mentioned the Ford plant in Cologne 56:59.920 --> 57:05.240 was this a prime military target the Ford plant in Cologne should have been 57:05.240 --> 57:08.400 a prime military target for example the British Air Force the Royal Air Force 57:08.400 --> 57:13.360 did bomb the Ford plant at Poissy in France but the Ford plant in Cologne 57:13.360 --> 57:17.720 which was the by far the largest Ford plant in Germany was not bombed in World 57:17.720 --> 57:21.000 War two but did our military planners intend to bomb it in other words was it 57:21.000 --> 57:26.080 on the aiming report well I did look at the aiming reports for the plants in 57:26.080 --> 57:31.380 Cologne Ford was known about they knew that it was producing equipment for the 57:31.380 --> 57:35.600 Wehrmacht but it was not bombed it was scheduled as a target but it was not 57:35.600 --> 57:39.320 bombed so somewhere along the line as far as the planning was concerned the 57:39.320 --> 57:43.760 name of the Ford motor plant in Cologne was deleted and yet the city of Cologne 57:43.760 --> 57:49.480 itself was totally decimated the city of Cologne was decimated as of course many 57:49.480 --> 57:55.840 other cities in Germany were decimated but somewhere along the line something 57:55.840 --> 58:02.160 happened I suspect it was in the aiming committers and without question orders 58:02.160 --> 58:06.480 were sent out not to bomb certain targets even though these were prime 58:06.480 --> 58:11.120 military targets and Bolshevism was just beginning to get a foothold in Russia 58:11.120 --> 58:16.800 yes there were several incidents the most important is one involving Colonel 58:16.800 --> 58:20.800 William Boyce Thompson who was the largest shareholder in the Chase Bank 58:20.800 --> 58:25.640 which of course today is Chase Manhattan Bank and I published in one of my books 58:25.640 --> 58:31.720 a copy of a cable gram which transferred funds from New York to 58:31.720 --> 58:39.000 Petrograd in December 1917 one million dollars to be precise and Colonel 58:39.000 --> 58:43.340 Thompson made the statement later that this one million dollars was given to the 58:43.340 --> 58:48.400 Bolsheviks to to consolidate that they had just begun to take over Russia they 58:48.400 --> 58:53.680 only controlled Moscow and Petrograd at that time to aid the the control that 58:53.720 --> 58:57.040 the Bolsheviks were extending in Russia this is a very clear case one million 58:57.040 --> 59:01.060 dollars American funds transferred through an American Wall Street 59:01.060 --> 59:06.280 intermediary to the Bolsheviks and didn't you publish that document here in 59:06.280 --> 59:10.660 Wall Street and rise of Bolshevism I published two two statements one is a 59:10.660 --> 59:17.280 copy of the cable Graham and the other is a copy of the news clip of the 59:17.280 --> 59:20.040 statement made by Colonel Thompson at that time that he had given made this 59:20.040 --> 59:25.120 contribution now why would an American capitalist an American financier help 59:25.120 --> 59:30.200 to aid Bolshevism the only answer and of course this puzzled me for years you 59:30.200 --> 59:34.320 know why why because we understand that to be an opposition and the only answer 59:34.320 --> 59:39.840 I can come to is one of captive markets the United States did not want another 59:39.840 --> 59:43.920 United States in the world and of course if you look at the world map Russia is 59:43.920 --> 59:47.420 two or three times larger in the United States imagine this as another United 59:47.420 --> 59:50.900 States is another competitor to the United States what the United States 59:50.900 --> 59:57.780 wanted or Wall Street wanted was a captive market and of course socialism is 59:57.780 --> 01:00:01.860 a captive market because my earlier studies at Stanford University have 01:00:01.860 --> 01:00:04.820 brought out the fact that a socialist system cannot innovate it's going to 01:00:04.820 --> 01:00:10.020 import innovation and technology from the West and so I think the aim behind 01:00:10.020 --> 01:00:17.420 this was to encourage the development of Marxism and other types of 01:00:17.420 --> 01:00:23.220 socialism because this would give these Wall Street bankers control of a world 01:00:23.220 --> 01:00:27.580 market a captive market at the end of the First World War Russia was 01:00:27.580 --> 01:00:32.700 devastated by famine and America sent a relief mission it was the Hoover mission 01:00:32.700 --> 01:00:38.300 do you know any of the facts surrounding the activities of the Hoover 01:00:38.300 --> 01:00:45.540 Commission well there's no question that in 1922 1923 Russia was finished 01:00:45.540 --> 01:00:52.180 industrial output was perhaps eight or ten percent of 1913 figures and people 01:00:52.180 --> 01:00:55.780 were starving by the hundreds of thousands and the Hoover mission was 01:00:55.780 --> 01:01:02.740 organized of course to send aid to Russia but most of the aid went to the 01:01:02.740 --> 01:01:08.940 Bolsheviks who controlled really quite a small part of Russia at that time only 01:01:08.940 --> 01:01:14.620 a very small part of the aid went to the White Russians or to the Far East and 01:01:14.620 --> 01:01:19.300 then after in 1922 and 1923 Lenin instituted something known as the new 01:01:19.300 --> 01:01:24.460 economic policy or this series of five-year plans can you tell us about the 01:01:24.460 --> 01:01:28.700 five-year plans and the part that the major American corporations major world 01:01:28.700 --> 01:01:34.220 corporations played in building up the Soviet Union well there are two separate 01:01:34.220 --> 01:01:41.220 phases here the new economic policy was started in 1923 by Lenin and I 01:01:41.220 --> 01:01:46.500 found and I published this in my first book from Stanford that every single 01:01:46.500 --> 01:01:52.900 Russian industry was rebuilt or restarted by foreign corporations mostly 01:01:52.900 --> 01:01:59.260 German British French and American by 1928 Russia was back to approximately 01:01:59.260 --> 01:02:08.060 its 1913 and industrial output and at that point she began to think of these 01:02:08.060 --> 01:02:15.020 grandiose five-year plans and in 1928 a gas plan which is the Russian government 01:02:15.020 --> 01:02:19.900 planning Commission actually designed an initial a five-year plan about this was 01:02:19.900 --> 01:02:23.900 thrown out it was inadequate and American corporations were built in what 01:02:23.900 --> 01:02:27.780 were brought into Russia and the first five-year plan and the second five-year 01:02:27.780 --> 01:02:31.900 plan were actually designed in the United States by American corporations 01:02:31.900 --> 01:02:37.140 and what were these corporations which ones specifically were involved the 01:02:37.140 --> 01:02:43.660 design of the first first five-year plan was by a corporation probably not known 01:02:43.660 --> 01:02:50.300 to most Americans Albert Kahn but other Khan was the foremost industrial 01:02:50.300 --> 01:02:57.060 architect in the United States and other Khan laid out the basics of the first 01:02:57.060 --> 01:03:03.820 five-year plan for the Soviets and then we find again the same corporations 01:03:03.820 --> 01:03:08.020 involved with a construction of the plants International General Electric 01:03:08.020 --> 01:03:17.940 certainly DuPont Ford Motor I was called into the office of the director and I 01:03:17.940 --> 01:03:22.940 was told in no uncertain terms not to make any more speeches like that and 01:03:22.940 --> 01:03:27.500 that this information should not be made public this was the information that we 01:03:27.500 --> 01:03:33.060 were giving the Soviet Union the technology to develop its war potential 01:03:33.060 --> 01:03:37.140 yes at that time we were in we were in Vietnam and as you know these Soviets 01:03:37.140 --> 01:03:42.980 were supplying the North Vietnamese this was 1972 1972 yes and for example I 01:03:42.980 --> 01:03:46.980 knew that the Gorky plant which was built by the Ford Motor Company the 01:03:46.980 --> 01:03:51.980 Gorky plant in Russia produces the gas a series of vehicles the gas vehicles had 01:03:51.980 --> 01:03:56.700 been seen on Ho Chi Minh trail we were supplying equipment to the Gorky plant 01:03:56.700 --> 01:04:01.460 in the middle of the Vietnamese war and these trucks were being used to carry 01:04:01.460 --> 01:04:04.740 ammunition supplies which were killing Americans I thought this was morally 01:04:04.740 --> 01:04:08.460 wrong and I said so Miami Beach and at Hoover Institution and it was this type 01:04:08.460 --> 01:04:13.740 of information that was suppressed and so what eventually happened as far as 01:04:13.740 --> 01:04:16.940 your activities of the Hoover Institution were concerned well I didn't 01:04:16.940 --> 01:04:20.260 pay much heed to the warnings I published a book called National 01:04:20.260 --> 01:04:26.100 Suicide in the following year which summarized our assistance to the Soviets 01:04:26.100 --> 01:04:30.260 our military assistance to the Soviets and when that book came out to the grain 01:04:30.260 --> 01:04:34.340 again it was great pressure to stop the book both on those pressure on both the 01:04:34.340 --> 01:04:40.180 publishers and me personally and I felt I couldn't take this and a few years 01:04:40.180 --> 01:04:43.580 later I just left the Hoover Institution since 1975 I've been an independent 01:04:43.580 --> 01:04:48.340 author without any ties whatsoever let's go a little bit into the background of 01:04:48.340 --> 01:04:54.420 the financing of the German war machine that we fought in the period 1941 to 01:04:54.420 --> 01:05:00.900 1945 could we start first of all with the original financing of Hitler between 01:05:00.900 --> 01:05:08.500 1923 when he was first making his effort to come into prominence in 01:05:08.500 --> 01:05:15.660 Germany the original financing of Hitler that in the years 1922 came only partly 01:05:15.660 --> 01:05:20.620 from Germany one of the most prominent Americans concerned with financing 01:05:20.620 --> 01:05:25.260 Hitler was Henry Ford in fact Henry Ford received a medal in 1938 for his 01:05:25.260 --> 01:05:29.620 assistance to the early Nazi Party then of course Hitler had his attempted push 01:05:29.740 --> 01:05:35.540 in 1923 he went to jail and then we begin another era in the rise of Hitler 01:05:35.540 --> 01:05:40.980 right and of course he eventually came to power in 1933 by the electoral process 01:05:40.980 --> 01:05:47.140 what about the financing of Hitler's electoral activities in 1933 but this 01:05:47.140 --> 01:05:51.900 this I can trace I have traced a very exactly I discovered amongst the 01:05:51.900 --> 01:05:57.300 Nuremberg records a series of bank transfer slips and to the Dauberg 01:05:57.300 --> 01:06:00.780 Schickler Bank in Berlin to an account which was under the control of Rudolf 01:06:00.780 --> 01:06:06.500 Hess and this was the fund that was used to finance Hitler's access to power in 01:06:06.500 --> 01:06:13.460 March 1973 and amongst the corporations that transferred money to Hitler I find 01:06:13.460 --> 01:06:17.660 not only RG Farben which is which is quite widely known but also German 01:06:17.660 --> 01:06:22.140 General Electric AEG which is under under the control of General Electric in the 01:06:22.140 --> 01:06:29.140 United States was at that time and companies like Osram and now what was 01:06:29.140 --> 01:06:33.900 the tie-in between Osram and General Electric the tie-in that was a share tie 01:06:33.900 --> 01:06:38.500 in international General Electric in the United States had controlling interest 01:06:38.500 --> 01:06:42.820 in German General Electric and also through share interlocks a controlling 01:06:42.820 --> 01:06:49.060 interest in Osram in Germany so then we have Ford and we have General Electric 01:06:49.060 --> 01:06:52.580 helping to finance it off Hitler's rise to power when the other large American 01:06:52.580 --> 01:06:58.020 corporations involved very definitely a standard oil through its technical 01:06:58.020 --> 01:07:06.060 association with IG Farben for example Germany could not have gone to war in 01:07:06.060 --> 01:07:12.700 1939 without tetraethyl you need tetraethyl to raise the octane value of 01:07:12.700 --> 01:07:17.660 aviation gasoline Germany had no means of doing that this was developed in the 01:07:17.660 --> 01:07:23.940 in the athel laboratories in the United States and transferred to the Germans 01:07:23.940 --> 01:07:28.220 standard oil came up with the hydrogenation idea which was very 01:07:28.220 --> 01:07:32.420 essential for Germany in the 1930s because the to raise the quality of its 01:07:32.420 --> 01:07:38.940 gasoline for aviation purposes this was transferred to the Nazis and ITT for 01:07:38.940 --> 01:07:43.580 example International Telephone and Telegraph was very intimately associated 01:07:44.020 --> 01:07:49.940 with the Nazis through dr. Schroeder who was head of the ITT subsidiaries in 01:07:49.940 --> 01:07:58.540 Germany and ITT controlled companies which made not only electrical 01:07:58.540 --> 01:08:03.100 instruments but also the Focke-Wulf plant which made airplanes fighter 01:08:03.100 --> 01:08:07.220 airplanes so what you're suggesting that is that American corporations were 01:08:07.220 --> 01:08:11.300 helping to finance the German industry that was building up the war potential 01:08:11.300 --> 01:08:17.580 American corporations only a few not many financed Hitler through that 01:08:17.580 --> 01:08:44.620 the video you're about to see is a very very important interview I did it back 01:08:44.620 --> 01:08:51.780 in 1980 in June of 1980 with Anthony Sutton and of course Anthony had been a 01:08:51.780 --> 01:08:56.380 scholar at the Hoover Institute for really many many years and while he was 01:08:56.380 --> 01:09:00.980 there he wrote the three volumes of Western technology and Soviet economic 01:09:00.980 --> 01:09:05.900 development he wrote his book national suicide and these books went into the 01:09:05.900 --> 01:09:09.700 background of the funding of the Soviet Union from its inception and of course 01:09:09.700 --> 01:09:14.140 his book national suicide went into the fact that America was financing the 01:09:14.140 --> 01:09:19.820 Soviet Union all during the Vietnam War while the Soviet Union was financing the 01:09:19.820 --> 01:09:25.140 North Vietnamese who were killing our boys in South Vietnam in fact everything 01:09:25.140 --> 01:09:30.220 was done to prevent professor Sutton from either publishing the third volume 01:09:30.220 --> 01:09:34.700 of Western technology or his book national suicide tremendous pressure was 01:09:34.700 --> 01:09:39.820 brought to bear on his publisher so that national suicide could not be brought out 01:09:40.020 --> 01:09:44.420 so the American people were not to know that during the Vietnam War we were 01:09:44.420 --> 01:09:49.300 financing indirectly the North Vietnamese well let me just show you a 01:09:49.300 --> 01:09:52.980 few of the books that professor Sutton has written and these would include of 01:09:52.980 --> 01:09:59.420 course the Western technology and Soviet economic development Wall Street and 01:09:59.420 --> 01:10:08.620 both in the Bolshevik Revolution Wall Street and FDR Wall Street and the rise 01:10:08.620 --> 01:10:12.340 of Hitler and of course national suicide he's probably written at least 01:10:12.340 --> 01:10:17.740 ten other books including the Federal Reserve conspiracy the trilateral of 01:10:17.740 --> 01:10:21.860 silver Washington volumes one and two he's written extensively on the skull 01:10:21.860 --> 01:10:27.580 and bone society on gold on diamonds certainly Anthony Sutton is one of the 01:10:27.580 --> 01:10:32.460 finest writers that we have within the conservative movement today and for the 01:10:32.460 --> 01:10:37.620 last 20 years he hasn't been doing interviews he I've contacted him a 01:10:37.620 --> 01:10:41.100 number of times asked him to do radio interviews with me but he is unavailable 01:10:41.100 --> 01:10:45.420 I think that you're going to find that this interview will explain to you who 01:10:45.420 --> 01:10:50.940 it was who financed Adolf Hitler and gave him the the capability of waging 01:10:50.940 --> 01:10:57.000 war against the West who it was who financed the the Bolshevik movement after 01:10:57.000 --> 01:11:02.460 it was established in 1917 and kept it going until the Berlin Wall came down in 01:11:02.460 --> 01:11:07.060 1989 you're going to learn about the trilateral Commission you're going to 01:11:07.060 --> 01:11:12.340 learn about who controls the media in the United States indeed who is the 01:11:12.340 --> 01:11:15.980 invisible government and what the ultimate goal of that invisible 01:11:15.980 --> 01:11:20.500 government is and why that invisible government financed Adolf Hitler and 01:11:20.500 --> 01:11:27.460 finances communism and has financed communism since its inception and now to 01:11:27.460 --> 01:11:30.460 Anthony Sutton 01:11:31.220 --> 01:11:36.340 Dr. Sutton he wrote three series of books while you were a research fellow 01:11:36.340 --> 01:11:40.220 at the Hoover Institute can you give me basically the background of the content 01:11:40.220 --> 01:11:45.700 of these series yes the the series I wrote at the Hoover Institution Stanford 01:11:45.700 --> 01:11:50.980 University concerned the transfers of Western technology to the Soviet Union 01:11:50.980 --> 01:11:56.020 and essentially comprised three individual books each book covers a 01:11:56.020 --> 01:12:03.060 period of time since 1917 and then you wrote a second series of books on Wall 01:12:03.140 --> 01:12:08.340 Street yes these were trade books in other words that they're not academic 01:12:08.340 --> 01:12:13.460 books they're written for the general public they concerned the buildup of 01:12:13.460 --> 01:12:19.580 the three types of socialism Bolshevik socialism in Russia what we might call 01:12:19.580 --> 01:12:24.340 welfare socialism in the United States and Hitler and on national socialism and 01:12:24.340 --> 01:12:31.260 each book examines the financing and the contributions made by Wall Street by 01:12:31.260 --> 01:12:34.940 international bankers to that to the development of that specific form of 01:12:34.940 --> 01:12:40.020 socialism now in your research and analysis and your efforts to bring out 01:12:40.020 --> 01:12:44.380 the facts about what was going on in our society did you encounter any effort to 01:12:44.380 --> 01:12:49.460 discourage you to prevent you from bringing out the background of America's 01:12:49.460 --> 01:12:54.900 involvement in the financing of international communism yes very 01:12:54.900 --> 01:13:03.420 definitely for example when I was at Hoover Institution in 1972 I went to 01:13:03.420 --> 01:13:07.260 Miami Beach to give some testimony before the Republican National 01:13:07.260 --> 01:13:14.060 Committee and although a congressman had hand delivered to the wine services 01:13:14.060 --> 01:13:18.260 this testimony which was later printed the wine services refused to transmit 01:13:18.260 --> 01:13:21.820 it to the newspapers then when I got back to the Hoover Institution and in 01:13:21.820 --> 01:13:26.460 California that's rather reminiscent of some of the orders that went out during 01:13:26.460 --> 01:13:30.140 the Korean War some of the orders that went out during the Vietnamese war to 01:13:30.140 --> 01:13:33.620 leave specific targets within the enemy's domain untouched by our 01:13:33.620 --> 01:13:37.660 strategic bombing I understand that was so although I've not investigated it 01:13:37.660 --> 01:13:43.140 now in your book Wall Street and the rise of Hitler there was one very 01:13:43.140 --> 01:13:47.780 interesting section about a special fund that Heinrich Himmler had and the 01:13:47.780 --> 01:13:53.060 fund of money from German corporations into this fund even up into the years 01:13:53.060 --> 01:13:58.900 1943 and 1944 and many of these corporations had strong ties into the 01:13:58.900 --> 01:14:03.100 American corporations into their the American parent corporations could you 01:14:03.100 --> 01:14:06.740 tell us a little bit about the Kepler fund the Kepler fund was also known as 01:14:06.740 --> 01:14:12.020 the Conto S fund it was what we might call Heinrich Himmler's personal slush 01:14:12.020 --> 01:14:18.100 fund he used it for his own personal projects and what amazed me was both in 01:14:18.100 --> 01:14:25.100 1933 and in 1944 the two days the two years for which I examined the records 01:14:25.100 --> 01:14:33.420 over half the funds came from American corporations for example in 1933 ITT 01:14:33.420 --> 01:14:41.980 Standard Oil General Electric and and possibly Osram were contributors even in 01:14:41.980 --> 01:14:47.820 1944 in the middle of World War two we find that ITT was funneling funds to 01:14:47.820 --> 01:14:56.380 Heinrich Himmler's fund through Schroeder who was the chairman of the ITT 01:14:56.380 --> 01:15:02.740 subsidiaries in Germany we also find that the standard oil subsidiary in Germany 01:15:02.740 --> 01:15:07.420 was financing Heinrich Himmler and this was in the middle of World War two now 01:15:07.420 --> 01:15:11.180 were these facts ever brought out at the Nuremberg hearings they were never 01:15:11.180 --> 01:15:15.220 brought out at the Nuremberg hearings although the documents do exist within 01:15:15.220 --> 01:15:19.860 the within the files within the records they have not been published as far as I 01:15:19.860 --> 01:15:23.900 know and you actually have access to these records yes there's some 400 tons 01:15:23.900 --> 01:15:28.540 of these records available and many of them were at the Hoover Institution or 01:15:28.540 --> 01:15:31.700 copies were at the Hoover Institution and that's where I found the original 01:15:31.700 --> 01:15:37.540 documentation I think it's a tragic part of our history when the American public 01:15:37.540 --> 01:15:41.140 doesn't realize the interplay then between great American corporations and 01:15:41.140 --> 01:15:48.180 the financing the funding of the Nazi movement now I wanted to talk just a 01:15:48.180 --> 01:15:51.260 little bit about the Nuremberg trials because of the Nuremberg trials the 01:15:51.260 --> 01:15:55.940 Nazis the Nazi war criminals the Nazi generals were hold were held specifically 01:15:55.940 --> 01:16:02.940 guilty for what transpired were there any Americans involved were any Americans 01:16:02.940 --> 01:16:08.340 indicted were any Americans convicted as far as the financing of the Nazi war 01:16:08.340 --> 01:16:15.780 movement very definitely not I looked at the criteria for what we might call war 01:16:15.780 --> 01:16:21.860 war crimes under the Nuremberg Tribunal and there's no question in my mind that 01:16:21.860 --> 01:16:28.180 certain Americans well fitted the criteria which required indictment and 01:16:28.180 --> 01:16:31.740 trial but no Americans were ever brought to trial do you think there was any 01:16:31.740 --> 01:16:36.540 conscious effort to conceal this fact both from the Nuremberg war tribunal and 01:16:36.540 --> 01:16:40.860 from the American public well it was a conscious effort in the fact that these 01:16:40.860 --> 01:16:46.620 businessmen were very prominent in stating in 1946 that they had no 01:16:46.620 --> 01:16:51.420 knowledge of what Hitler was doing and yet they were intimately involved with 01:16:51.420 --> 01:16:55.660 the buildup with Hitler I suspect that this was not published in the media at 01:16:55.660 --> 01:17:00.400 the time although I've not checked that but certainly the the role of American 01:17:00.400 --> 01:17:04.360 corporations and American businessmen in aiding Hitler has not been published 01:17:04.360 --> 01:17:09.320 now what about the actual financing what about the loans from large American 01:17:09.320 --> 01:17:13.160 banks from large British banks to Hitler's government in that period 01:17:13.160 --> 01:17:17.920 between 1933 and 1939 when Hitler was preparing for war well you've got to go 01:17:17.920 --> 01:17:23.080 back a little earlier and look at what are known as the young loans which were 01:17:23.080 --> 01:17:25.640 very important because I think they brought about the economic collapse of 01:17:25.640 --> 01:17:29.340 German in 1933 that was the young plan this was Owen Young who was a 01:17:29.340 --> 01:17:35.260 chairman of General Electric here we got a man who actually made the loans as 01:17:35.260 --> 01:17:39.120 an officer of the United States government which brought about the 01:17:39.120 --> 01:17:44.020 collapse of Germany in 1933 enabling Hitler to take over and then subsequent 01:17:44.020 --> 01:17:51.700 to 1933 you get a series of loans a very good one is Standard Oil which loans 01:17:51.700 --> 01:17:56.540 several million dollars at least the to Germany to build up its aviation 01:17:56.740 --> 01:18:03.740 gasoline facilities and the other examples fine well I'd like to get a 01:18:03.740 --> 01:18:06.740 little bit into the background of the financing of Bolshevism because I think 01:18:06.740 --> 01:18:11.500 this is vitally important and we can go back to the period after the second 01:18:11.500 --> 01:18:17.180 revolution which was in October and November of 1917 the initial financing 01:18:17.180 --> 01:18:23.100 of Lenin's movement how did it tie into the American corporations was there any 01:18:23.100 --> 01:18:29.500 American involvement in that period between 1917 and 1918 when
