01:27.680 have been brought up in. 01:27.680 --> 01:30.980 And hopefully in the next hour, hour and a half, I'm going to be showing you examples 01:30.980 --> 01:36.680 of this so that you can see for yourself what actually the universal language of geometry 01:36.680 --> 01:39.000 and symbolism actually means. 01:39.000 --> 01:43.460 So we're going to jump right into it here and talk about sacred numbers embedded in 01:43.460 --> 01:45.640 everyday phenomena. 01:45.680 --> 01:51.040 These are the things that we all pretty much think about and use on a daily basis without 01:51.040 --> 01:56.880 ever really pondering the fact that there's actually deep symbolism hidden within them. 01:56.880 --> 02:04.040 We measure our life in terms of days, of 24 hours, referred to as a tropical or solar day. 02:04.040 --> 02:09.400 And it turns out that 24 of these hours are 1,440 minutes. 02:09.400 --> 02:14.160 This is one of the key numbers within the ancient canon of numerical cosmology that 02:14.160 --> 02:19.200 the ancients used to basically design and create their world. 02:19.200 --> 02:24.440 The 1,440 minutes equates to 86,400 seconds. 02:24.440 --> 02:28.880 So if you just listen to these numbers, look at them and let them kind of soak into your 02:28.880 --> 02:30.160 brain. 02:30.160 --> 02:37.000 Once you've gotten into this as actually a system, a methodology of transmitting information, 02:37.000 --> 02:43.680 these numbers are actually carriers of information because each number stands for meanings beyond 02:43.680 --> 02:45.320 just the apparent ones. 02:45.320 --> 02:52.920 So we see 1,440 minutes is equal to 86,400 seconds and a 12 hour span of time, which 02:52.920 --> 03:01.240 is usually represented on the clock, 720 minutes, which equals 43,200 seconds. 03:01.240 --> 03:03.000 So just look at those numbers. 03:03.000 --> 03:08.880 You'll think that obviously 43,200 is half of 86,400. 03:08.880 --> 03:14.360 The 1,440, we're going to counter that number again here momentarily. 03:14.360 --> 03:18.680 So these are just examples of some of the time measures, how we think about time in 03:18.680 --> 03:20.560 our particular culture. 03:20.560 --> 03:22.320 Space measure, we talk about a foot. 03:22.320 --> 03:25.900 We talk about a 12 inches. 03:25.900 --> 03:27.280 We talk about a square foot. 03:27.280 --> 03:34.920 You'll notice that the square foot has the same repetition of digits, 144, as the 24 03:34.920 --> 03:35.920 hours does. 03:35.920 --> 03:37.260 All we do is we tack a zero on that. 03:37.260 --> 03:40.260 We have the number of minutes in a day. 03:40.260 --> 03:42.580 We have a cubic foot equaling 1728. 03:42.580 --> 03:48.780 I want to call your attention to the one square yard, which is 1,296 inches. 03:48.780 --> 03:52.900 As it turns out, we could stick a zero on the end of that. 03:52.900 --> 03:59.820 We have 12,960 years, which turns out to be an awesomely important span of time in terms 03:59.820 --> 04:03.500 of some of the great cycles that affect this planet. 04:03.500 --> 04:06.020 And that's what we're going to be getting to. 04:06.020 --> 04:12.980 Geometry, everybody knows that a circumference of a circle is divided into 360 degrees. 04:12.980 --> 04:20.540 And that 360 degrees of arc, because each degree is subdivided into minutes of arc, 04:20.540 --> 04:25.300 there is then 60 times 360 as it says there, 21,600. 04:25.300 --> 04:33.300 And then you'll notice the 21,600 minutes of arc equals 1,296,000 seconds of arc. 04:33.300 --> 04:39.700 That's a mighty fine subdivision of a circle that would be used mostly by astronomers 04:39.700 --> 04:43.780 to measure the motion of distant stars. 04:43.780 --> 04:49.900 But notice that number, 1,296,000, and you'll see that it's the same number just raised 04:49.900 --> 04:54.740 by three orders of magnitude as the number of square inches in a square yard. 04:54.740 --> 04:59.860 Okay, now the other thing you might notice about most of these numbers from 1440 to 05:00.860 --> 05:09.860 23200, 144, 1728, 36, 1296 is that they all cobolistically add up and reduce to the single 05:09.860 --> 05:11.820 digit nine. 05:11.820 --> 05:12.820 Notice that all of them. 05:12.820 --> 05:18.380 Pick any one of them other than say with the exception of 24, but 1440 adds and reduces 05:18.380 --> 05:20.060 to a single digit nine. 05:20.060 --> 05:25.420 1296, you'll notice the same thing, one and two and nine and six is 18, which adds to 05:25.420 --> 05:26.900 a nine. 05:27.300 --> 05:32.620 Okay, so if you're taking notes, write these down or make mental notes of these numbers 05:32.620 --> 05:37.140 because these are the numbers we're going to be encountering now as we go progress 05:37.140 --> 05:42.660 through this journey here into the hidden mathematics. 05:42.660 --> 05:48.620 So we will start by looking at how some of these same numbers and other numbers are associated 05:48.620 --> 05:52.300 with the measures of geometry. 05:52.300 --> 05:55.540 And here we have what I refer to as the alphabet of sacred geometry. 05:55.940 --> 05:57.860 These are the simplest forms. 05:57.860 --> 05:59.020 These are the polygons. 05:59.020 --> 06:03.260 You have a circle, which is actually not a polygon, but we have an equilateral triangle, 06:03.260 --> 06:05.260 a square and a pentagon. 06:05.260 --> 06:10.740 And each of these can be measured by the number of degrees that determine the angles of the 06:10.740 --> 06:11.740 sides. 06:11.740 --> 06:17.300 So for example, we look at a circle, which is just a special case of an ellipse with 06:17.300 --> 06:19.220 eccentricity of zero. 06:19.220 --> 06:23.660 We've covered this already, so let's go right to the equilateral triangle and we'll see 06:23.660 --> 06:28.100 at 60, 60 and 60, which equals 180 degrees. 06:28.100 --> 06:31.540 Again notice that we've got the number nine recurring. 06:31.540 --> 06:34.860 We go to the square, which is four times 90 degrees. 06:34.860 --> 06:40.100 The total number of degrees defining the square is 360, the same as the circle, the 06:40.100 --> 06:42.140 same as the measure of a circle. 06:42.140 --> 06:47.260 And we measure the polygons by essentially measuring the angles of the vertices or the 06:47.260 --> 06:48.260 corners. 06:49.220 --> 06:56.020 Then likewise with the pentagon, each of the angles between successive edges is 108 degrees. 06:56.020 --> 07:00.940 So you multiply the 108 times five and you get 540. 07:00.940 --> 07:05.300 Again notice, everything adds up to nine for some strange reason. 07:05.300 --> 07:08.060 108 is going to turn out to be a very important number. 07:08.060 --> 07:10.900 It's a lunar number, as you're going to see. 07:10.900 --> 07:15.820 108, anybody know what metal has an atomic weight of silver? 07:15.820 --> 07:17.700 That I mean, atomic weight of 108? 07:17.740 --> 07:19.140 Yes, that's right, it's silver. 07:19.140 --> 07:20.140 Very good. 07:21.740 --> 07:24.380 Alright, so let's get into some of the solids. 07:24.380 --> 07:32.980 Tetrahedron is this form right here and it's composed of four of the equilateral triangles. 07:32.980 --> 07:40.340 So we have, as it says here, there's four triangular faces, four times 180 is 720 degrees. 07:40.340 --> 07:45.060 That is the total angular measure of this particular geometric form. 07:45.100 --> 07:49.820 This is known as one of the platonic solids, or regular polyhedra. 07:49.820 --> 07:52.100 Polyhedra means multiple faces. 07:52.100 --> 07:58.300 And the regular polyhedra is the family of five, there's only five, that have the same 07:58.300 --> 08:00.960 shape or the same polygonal face. 08:00.960 --> 08:04.180 In this case, the equilateral triangle. 08:04.180 --> 08:09.380 And then we will move on to the cube. 08:09.380 --> 08:15.620 And the cube is six faces and they're each square and we saw that each of those square 08:15.620 --> 08:20.340 faces had 360 degrees, 6 times 360. 08:20.340 --> 08:27.260 The important thing is to grasp that the total number of degrees in this form is 2160. 08:27.260 --> 08:33.100 2160, and we're going to find out that that number actually turns out to be pretty significant 08:33.100 --> 08:38.820 in the measure of other parts of time and space. 08:39.260 --> 08:45.980 Then we'll go to the octahedron and it has eight triangular faces. 08:45.980 --> 08:48.500 This is our octahedron right here. 08:48.500 --> 08:52.940 And they're all, you'll notice that so far the tetrahedron and the octahedron are both 08:52.940 --> 08:57.140 composed of triangular, equilateral triangular faces. 08:57.140 --> 09:01.500 And essentially, if you look at the difference between the tetrahedron and the octahedron, 09:01.500 --> 09:05.820 you could just imagine it, if we could take the tetrahedron and split it along an edge 09:05.820 --> 09:11.660 and insert a fourth triangular face, it would cause it to flatten out somewhat and it would 09:11.660 --> 09:14.820 give us the top half of the octahedron. 09:14.820 --> 09:20.420 And likewise, we could insert a fifth equilateral triangle in here and it's going to give us 09:20.420 --> 09:23.420 the icosahedron, which I'll show you in a minute. 09:23.420 --> 09:27.220 If we tried to insert a sixth one, though, we discovered that the whole thing flattened 09:27.220 --> 09:28.780 out into two dimensions. 09:28.780 --> 09:32.300 So that wouldn't work as far as in closing space. 09:32.300 --> 09:37.980 So in any case, notice we're seeing a recurrence of this number that we saw, 1440. 09:37.980 --> 09:50.940 Remember we saw that number back right here, the number of minutes in a day. 09:50.940 --> 09:53.260 So let that relationship sink in. 09:53.260 --> 10:00.300 The number of minutes in the time that it takes our earth to spin exactly once on its 10:00.860 --> 10:10.860 axis relative to the sun happens to be the same number of degrees that define the octahedron. 10:10.860 --> 10:13.900 And that's actually what we're talking about when we're talking about a tropical or solar 10:13.900 --> 10:14.900 day. 10:14.900 --> 10:21.900 We're talking about one, exactly one rotation of the earth on its axis relative to the sun. 10:21.900 --> 10:24.900 Okay. 10:24.900 --> 10:40.220 Then we have the icosahedron, which is 20 faces, all equilateral triangles. 10:40.220 --> 10:44.900 You can see if you look at the vertex of this thing, you see that there are five faces 10:44.900 --> 10:47.200 clustered around each vertex. 10:47.200 --> 10:52.380 So if we were to split an edge, insert another triangle, what would happen is it would flatten 10:52.380 --> 10:59.100 out into a hexagon, a flat hexagon with six equilateral triangles about its center. 10:59.100 --> 11:04.740 In any case, there are 20 of these triangular faces, 20 times 180 is 3600. 11:04.740 --> 11:08.420 So again, we have one of our nines. 11:08.420 --> 11:13.300 And then our final is our dodecahedron. 11:13.300 --> 11:14.300 My favorite shape. 11:14.300 --> 11:20.620 This is what Plato referred to the dodecahedron as being the shape of the universe itself. 11:21.500 --> 11:30.500 The dodecahedron, you'll notice, has 12 faces, 20 vertices, whereas the icosahedron has 20 faces and 12 vertices. 11:30.500 --> 11:31.620 So they're duels of each other. 11:31.620 --> 11:36.660 We could actually suspend this icosahedron if the dodecahedron was hollow. 11:36.660 --> 11:38.400 We could put it inside. 11:38.400 --> 11:42.940 We would discover that each corner of the icosahedron coincided with the center of the 11:42.940 --> 11:45.900 pentagonal face of the dodecahedron. 11:45.900 --> 11:47.220 Okay. 11:47.220 --> 11:51.700 Each pentagonal face, as we found out, each edge was 108. 11:51.700 --> 11:53.300 Five times 108 is 540. 11:53.300 --> 11:57.540 12 times 540, as it says, is 6408. 11:57.540 --> 12:04.020 So again, we've got the number nine redundantly occurring over and over again in these measures. 12:04.020 --> 12:10.900 Okay, 6408 turns out to be a critically important number as well, as you're going to see as 12:10.900 --> 12:13.020 we proceed along here. 12:13.020 --> 12:22.020 Oh, and then we have the star tetrahedron, which would be two tetrahedrons interlaced, 12:22.020 --> 12:30.260 and I don't have one of those today, but if you can picture a tetrahedron like this and 12:30.260 --> 12:35.420 then one like this interlaced, it gives you what's known as sometimes the star tetrahedron 12:35.420 --> 12:38.900 or the stellated octahedron. 12:38.900 --> 12:41.900 It is composed of two tetrahedrons each of 720. 12:41.900 --> 12:47.100 So here again now you're seeing the repetition of this same number, 1440, being the measure 12:47.100 --> 12:50.300 of the star tetrahedron. 12:50.300 --> 12:54.380 Okay, so now we're going to talk about time measures. 12:54.380 --> 12:57.100 The first thing we're going to look at is astrological time cycles. 12:57.100 --> 13:04.640 I don't know how many of you have studied astrology, but in this particular scheme 13:05.640 --> 13:13.480 the total duration of the processional cycle, which is 25,920 years, this is the motion 13:13.480 --> 13:22.220 of the earth on its axis like this, or you could think of it like this. 13:22.220 --> 13:27.160 The axis of the earth actually forms sort of an hourglass motion, a long, slow period 13:27.160 --> 13:30.520 of rotation. 13:30.520 --> 13:37.360 You could consider earth's third motion next to its first motion, which is the daily rotation 13:37.360 --> 13:42.080 of the earth on its axis, its second motion, which is the orbit of the earth around the 13:42.080 --> 13:48.360 sun, and its third motion, which is the precession of the earth's axis. 13:48.360 --> 13:54.040 The diurnal or daily rotation of the earth on its axis gives us the day-night cycle, 13:54.040 --> 13:59.280 which is obviously of critical importance to our life down here on earth. 13:59.280 --> 14:04.040 The orbit around the sun also is likewise of critical importance, because that's the 14:04.040 --> 14:05.920 yearly cycle. 14:05.920 --> 14:11.080 The third motion is what the ancients referred to as the great year, and it's been measured 14:11.080 --> 14:16.880 by astronomers at slightly over 50 seconds of arc of motion per year, which actually 14:16.880 --> 14:21.880 puts the astronomically determined number slightly less than this one, but we don't 14:21.880 --> 14:25.080 know that that's necessarily constant for the whole cycle. 14:25.080 --> 14:30.920 In any case, the ancient number that was typically attributed to this great year cycle 14:30.920 --> 14:35.360 was 25,920 years. 14:35.360 --> 14:40.720 That great year was considered to be analogous to our annual year, and just as the annual 14:40.720 --> 14:45.920 year was divided into four seasons of spring, summer, winter, and fall, likewise the great 14:45.920 --> 14:51.560 year was divided into four great seasons, symbolized by the four fixed signs of the 14:52.200 --> 14:56.560 the bull, the lion, the eagle, and the man or the angel. 14:56.560 --> 15:03.560 If you divide 25,920 by four to determine the duration of each season, you'll discover 15:04.620 --> 15:11.620 that it's 6,480 years, which is interesting because 6,480 years, as you recall, was the 15:13.840 --> 15:18.200 total measure of the dodecahedron. 15:18.200 --> 15:25.200 So here we have this same number linking the measure of space in terms of the dodecahedron, 15:25.200 --> 15:32.200 6,480 degrees, and the season of the great year, which was considered to be profoundly 15:32.600 --> 15:38.040 important to ancient cultures all over the world, who had various ways of representing 15:38.040 --> 15:45.040 this four-fold division of cyclical time. 15:45.600 --> 15:50.600 From the ancient Chaldeans, we have what was known as the Cerro cycle, which was 3,600 15:50.600 --> 15:57.600 years, so we see a repetition of that number. The 3,600, if you recall, and are taking 15:57.600 --> 16:02.840 notes, is the number of degrees measuring the icosahedron. 16:02.840 --> 16:09.840 Then we have the decans. You'll notice that a platonic month, which is 1 12th of the great 16:09.840 --> 16:16.640 year, right there, you divide that number by 12, you get this number, 2,160, and that 16:16.640 --> 16:23.640 number, you may recall, depending on how good your memory is, is the number of degrees 16:24.300 --> 16:28.040 measuring the cube, 2,160. 16:28.040 --> 16:33.960 Then you'll notice the two decans of the ecliptic, or 20 degrees of the ecliptic, is 16:33.960 --> 16:40.560 1,440, the number of degrees in the octahedron, and one decan, or 10 degrees, for any of 16:40.560 --> 16:44.960 you who have studied astrology, you know that the decans are important to astrological 16:44.960 --> 16:50.760 determinations. One decan of 10 degrees then takes 720 years. 16:50.760 --> 16:57.760 Here we have all five of the platonic solids represented in these particular time cycles. 16:57.760 --> 17:03.520 Over here, I'm going to mention that ancient cultures all over the world used to run two 17:03.520 --> 17:09.320 calendars successively, a secular calendar, which is typically like our modern calendar 17:09.320 --> 17:15.360 of 365 and one quarter days, and then they would have a sacred calendar of 360 days, 17:15.360 --> 17:19.360 and five days intercalated, they would call it. 17:19.360 --> 17:25.640 Typically, whether it was the Greeks or the Egyptians or even the Mayans, ancient cultures 17:25.640 --> 17:32.320 all over the world had similar traditions of setting those five days aside, and they 17:32.320 --> 17:34.560 were considered to be unlucky. 17:34.560 --> 17:39.280 So, really no work, no activity, nothing, nobody ever tried to do anything on those 17:39.280 --> 17:44.240 days. They would just take those days off. Five days off, then they would resume again 17:44.240 --> 17:47.680 and pick up their sacred year of 360 degrees. 17:47.680 --> 17:53.160 Now the Sumerians had a belief that the year was once actually 360 days in length, and 17:53.160 --> 17:59.320 that somewhere along as a result of some cosmic catastrophe of some undefined sort, the year 17:59.320 --> 18:02.200 was lengthened by five and one quarter days. 18:02.200 --> 18:08.160 And so the Sumerians, who are the first known culture to mathematically divide the circle 18:08.160 --> 18:13.920 into 360 degrees, it is believed that one of their motives for doing so was they believed 18:13.920 --> 18:19.440 that that circle then could become a model of the year and each degree then representing 18:19.440 --> 18:20.640 one day. 18:20.640 --> 18:26.480 So what we have now is a synchrony going on in that if the year, the idealized or sacred 18:27.080 --> 18:33.360 year is 360 days, then what we have, if you actually picture it, is that the earth is 18:33.360 --> 18:39.320 describing a circle in its orbit, but then in each degree of motion around that circle 18:39.320 --> 18:41.480 it's turned once on its axis. 18:41.480 --> 18:47.080 So what we have there is a synchronization of this cosmic motion representing these numbers. 18:47.080 --> 18:53.040 So in any case, the ancient cultures would reckon time measured by 360 days according 18:53.040 --> 18:55.080 to the sacred calendar. 18:55.080 --> 19:02.080 And by doing so, they could then divide that 360 days of the sacred year into subdivisions 19:02.560 --> 19:05.080 such as this right over here. 19:05.080 --> 19:07.480 And we'll just run through that very quickly. 19:07.480 --> 19:13.280 You'll notice that one deckhand turns out to be 10 days within the sacred calendar, 19:13.280 --> 19:15.860 and that's exactly 14,400 minutes. 19:15.860 --> 19:19.320 So here we have the same numbers recurring again. 19:19.320 --> 19:26.320 You'll notice though that the number, the symbolism of the number is not lost, or the 19:27.800 --> 19:33.880 symbolism of the number is consistent irrespective of its order of magnitude. 19:33.880 --> 19:39.560 So in other words, you could say the square of 12 being 144 has the same symbolism as 19:39.560 --> 19:46.560 144 times 10, or 144 times 100 as you have right here, or even 144 times 1000. 19:47.560 --> 19:54.080 Again, referring back to the book of revelations, there's a verse in there referring to the 19:54.080 --> 19:57.920 144,000 redeemed of the earth. 19:57.920 --> 20:00.680 And we'll get to that here shortly. 20:00.680 --> 20:05.120 That's an interesting quote because they have various ways of embedding these sacred numbers 20:05.120 --> 20:08.040 into the various traditions. 20:08.040 --> 20:11.760 You'll notice that three deckhands are one platonic month. 20:11.800 --> 20:18.320 In the platonic year was 2160 years, but in the sacred year of 360 days, again there's 20:18.320 --> 20:22.160 that 43,200. 20:22.160 --> 20:28.960 And go down here, one platonic season of 6480 years, 129,600. 20:28.960 --> 20:32.320 So if you're taking notes and writing these down, you're going to find that you're writing 20:32.320 --> 20:37.320 down the same numbers over and over again, simply raised to different orders of magnitude. 20:38.320 --> 20:42.320 Okay. 20:42.320 --> 20:46.280 This is just a little graphic that depicts this processional motion that I'm talking 20:46.280 --> 20:47.440 about here. 20:47.440 --> 20:54.440 This motion right here that is generally assumed by most astronomers to be primarily induced 20:54.640 --> 21:01.000 onto the earth by the moon, secondarily by the sun, and then also a contributing factor 21:01.000 --> 21:02.520 by the planets. 21:02.520 --> 21:06.360 So it's almost, you could almost think of this processional motion of the earth's axis 21:06.360 --> 21:12.600 as being the vectoral summation of all the gravity forces of the solar system acting 21:12.600 --> 21:14.680 on the earth. 21:14.680 --> 21:15.680 Causing it to acting. 21:15.680 --> 21:22.680 See, when the planet rotates on its axis, and this is a critical factor, as it rotates 21:24.600 --> 21:29.520 on its axis, it spreads out towards the middle. 21:29.520 --> 21:33.560 Its equatorial diameter is greater than its polar diameter. 21:33.560 --> 21:40.040 And that, in fact, is critical to the earth maintaining axial stability so that it's 21:40.040 --> 21:42.680 not doing this in its orbit around the sun. 21:42.680 --> 21:47.680 Because if it was doing that, it's likely that higher life would have never evolved 21:47.680 --> 21:49.140 in the first place. 21:49.140 --> 21:54.520 But due to the fact that it spins, it spreads out so that the diameter of the equator is 21:54.520 --> 21:58.320 26 miles greater than the diameter of the pole. 21:58.320 --> 22:03.800 The sum total of all the gravity forces impinging upon the earth from moon, sun, and planets 22:03.800 --> 22:09.800 acts upon that bulge as if it was a flywheel and is actually pulling it around. 22:09.800 --> 22:10.800 Pulling it around. 22:10.800 --> 22:14.120 And it's that that leads to the great year. 22:14.120 --> 22:20.960 And what it does is over a period of half the great year, 12,960 years, is it reverses 22:20.960 --> 22:22.380 the seasons. 22:22.380 --> 22:29.140 So that if we were able to jump in a time machine and go back 12,960 or ahead 12,960, 22:29.140 --> 22:30.860 we would find that everything was reversed. 22:30.860 --> 22:35.900 If we would keep the same Gregorian calendar in place, the seasons would have been reversed 22:35.900 --> 22:39.460 so that winter would be July and summer would be. 22:39.460 --> 22:43.080 In fact, and then what we would see is 25,920 years. 23:21.440 --> 23:29.960 So what has been happening is that the vernal equinox, a hypothetical point in space occupied 23:29.960 --> 23:37.580 by the sun, when day and night are the exact same duration, that vernal point is moving 23:37.580 --> 23:43.840 through space as a result of this axial motion of the earth. 23:44.240 --> 23:53.400 Ancient peoples would go to great lengths to try to observe and predict that motion. 23:53.400 --> 23:59.080 So they would set up structures, oftentimes on a very large scale, that would be oriented 23:59.080 --> 24:05.460 to certain points in space so that one could, from certain vantage points, such as the center 24:05.460 --> 24:12.840 of a ringed megalithic structure, for example, or the center of a temple that had an axial 24:12.840 --> 24:19.120 orientation to a certain point on the horizon, one could make minute observations of this 24:19.120 --> 24:24.520 slowly shifting vernal equinox or, for example, the solstices. 24:24.520 --> 24:29.600 The vernal equinox and the solstices are two lines in space that are right angles to each 24:29.600 --> 24:30.600 other. 24:30.600 --> 24:32.560 I'll show you a graphic in a minute. hours in turn is 1080 days, and 25,920 days is equal to 72 years in the sacred calendar, 27:41.540 --> 27:46.540 which is interesting because I think if you, most determinations of the average human 27:46.540 --> 27:51.660 lifespan right now in history is about 72 years. 27:51.660 --> 27:56.980 So you could think of a human lifespan as being equivalent to one day of the great year. 27:56.980 --> 28:01.700 There's an interesting proportional relationship going on there between the total processional 28:01.700 --> 28:07.300 cycle of 25,920 years and one human lifetime. 28:12.500 --> 28:18.700 In the Vedas, they had various ways of encoding references to numbers. 28:18.700 --> 28:21.940 Let the Brahmin hear the praise we utter. 28:21.940 --> 28:26.420 This hast the four-horned buffalo emitted. 28:26.420 --> 28:31.140 Four are his horns, three are the feet that bear him, his heads are two, his hands are 28:31.140 --> 28:33.400 seven in number. 28:33.400 --> 28:40.140 Notice 432, raised to the seventh power, gives you the number of years in the ancient Vedic 28:40.140 --> 28:46.580 time span, the kalpa, 4,320,000,000 years, which I find to be suspiciously close to 28:46.580 --> 28:50.820 the modern estimate for the age of the universe, which is about four and a half, or the age 28:50.820 --> 28:55.300 of the earth rather, which is about four and a half billion years. 28:55.300 --> 28:59.860 So this is one way they had of encoding or embedding references to these sacred numbers 28:59.860 --> 29:00.860 in the Vedas. 29:00.860 --> 29:09.060 And this is probably some of the oldest writings extant where this canon of numerology is presented. 29:09.980 --> 29:15.260 In ancient Sumeria, from the various writings of historians like Baracus and others, and 29:15.260 --> 29:21.540 from the Sumerian clay tablets, we're able to find that there were references to ten 29:21.540 --> 29:25.060 pre or anti-diluvian kings. 29:25.060 --> 29:28.900 What does pre-diluvian mean? 29:28.900 --> 29:29.900 Before the flood, right. 29:29.900 --> 29:34.300 So they had this belief that there were ten kings reigning before the flood. 29:34.540 --> 29:40.340 And you'll notice the numbers that they ascribed to each of the kings, the reign, those numbers 29:40.340 --> 29:43.020 now should all be becoming familiar to you. 29:43.020 --> 29:45.740 You've seen a bunch of them already. 29:45.740 --> 29:49.580 There's 43,200, 64,800, 36. 29:49.580 --> 29:56.420 You'll notice 64,800 is presented twice, actually three times. 29:56.420 --> 30:02.300 The total though, 432,000 possible that the king could have reigned for 36,000 years? 30:12.580 --> 30:14.860 I tend to think it was symbolical. 30:14.860 --> 30:19.060 But you know, it is interesting that one of the, again, one of the universal traditions 30:19.060 --> 30:24.860 from ancient cultures is that before the flood, and all the cultures from all over the world 30:24.860 --> 30:32.240 recognized that there was a great flood or even floods that decimated humanity at various 30:32.320 --> 30:33.320 times. 30:33.320 --> 30:37.320 But they're all pretty much in agreement that prior to the flood, the human lifespan was 30:37.320 --> 30:42.520 much longer than it is today, which I find we've all heard about Methuselah living to 30:42.520 --> 30:45.480 be 969 years, right? 30:45.480 --> 30:47.920 Or Lamech being 777. 30:47.920 --> 30:52.920 It seems that they had in the biblical ages, they seem to have lived about an order of 30:52.920 --> 30:59.240 magnitude greater than our modern ages, which considering, you know, from my perspective, 30:59.240 --> 31:03.240 the things I'd like to get done in this lifetime, I would need at least that many years. 31:06.800 --> 31:11.240 In the Vayu Purana, which is again one of the Vedas, we find verses like this. 31:11.240 --> 31:18.240 360 years, according to the human calculation, constitute one divine year. 31:18.240 --> 31:22.200 Wise people know that there are four yugas in Bharata Varsa. 31:22.200 --> 31:27.360 The first one is Kretta, then Falotreta, Devapara, and Kali. 31:27.520 --> 31:33.320 Some of you have heard of the Kali Yuga that we're supposedly in right now, and suppose 31:33.320 --> 31:37.960 the age of darkness and the age of ignorance. 31:37.960 --> 31:42.880 But you'll notice that they reckon time. 31:42.880 --> 31:48.520 They have another, the Vedas recognize as a sacred year that they call, or a divine 31:48.520 --> 31:52.520 year, which is 360 of our years. 31:53.520 --> 31:57.520 Okay, now here's a tabulation of the Vedic ages. 31:57.520 --> 32:02.680 And you'll notice, we'll look first at the total in human years, and we see that the 32:02.680 --> 32:06.640 Kali Yuga, the shortest, is 432,000. 32:06.640 --> 32:16.840 Then we go to 864,000, 1,296,000, 1,728,000, and 4,320,000. 32:16.840 --> 32:22.000 You'll notice that the total, or the Maha Yuga, the great yuga, is ten times the length 32:22.000 --> 32:24.080 of the Kali Yuga. 32:24.080 --> 32:30.400 And that's because you'll notice that the Dvapara is twice, the Traita is three times, 32:30.400 --> 32:31.880 and the Satya is four times. 32:31.880 --> 32:37.600 So taking the original term, doubling it, then tripling it, then quadrupling it, adding 32:37.600 --> 32:42.040 those together will give us ten times the number we started with. 32:42.040 --> 32:50.400 But again, notice the number that the Vedic ages begins with, 432,000, is the same number 32:50.600 --> 32:53.800 that the Sumerian king lists ends with. 32:53.800 --> 32:58.080 So it's almost as if we have two different traditions, but one system. 32:58.080 --> 33:05.080 And we see that the Sumerians preserve knowledge about the subdivisions of this yuga time, 33:05.080 --> 33:14.080 of 432,000 years, and symbolize these subdivisions by the reigns of these ten pre-Diluvian kings. 33:14.760 --> 33:21.760 And then we can see that once we get to 432,000 years, at that point the Vedic cycles kick 33:21.760 --> 33:26.760 in, and then we have these that follow. 33:26.760 --> 33:33.760 And using the divine year of 360 years yields this column of numbers, and then when we put 33:34.480 --> 33:40.400 the duration in the human years, it's interesting, each of the yugas, such as the Kali Yuga, 33:40.400 --> 33:46.680 they were all believed to have a period of transition into the age, then the age itself, 33:46.680 --> 33:50.360 and then a period of transition out of the age. 33:50.360 --> 33:56.560 And so basically what they did was they took the total age, you'll notice here the relationship 33:56.560 --> 34:03.080 between the Kali Yugas, the 360,000, and the Sanyas, which was the transition in, and 34:03.080 --> 34:08.440 the Sanyamsa, which was the transition out, are each one tenth of that, adding up to the 34:08.480 --> 34:10.480 total of 432. 34:10.480 --> 34:17.480 But you'll notice that we've got the same recurring numbers again, there's 144,000 right 34:17.480 --> 34:21.480 there, and then we have that raised by another order of magnitude. 34:21.480 --> 34:27.960 So you see how these same numbers are recurring over and over again, and I would suggest 34:27.960 --> 34:31.000 that there's a pattern emerging here. 34:31.000 --> 34:35.880 And I know that for a lot of people, first time they are confronted with this kind of 34:35.880 --> 34:39.560 information, sometimes it's almost too mind boggling, and you're going, what the heck 34:39.560 --> 34:41.400 does all these numbers mean? 34:41.400 --> 34:44.000 You know, it's just too many numbers to sort out. 34:44.000 --> 34:48.040 But what you realize once you start studying them is that each one of them is kind of 34:48.040 --> 34:53.320 a mnemonic, because each number has a whole collection of phenomena that's associated 34:53.320 --> 34:55.000 with it. 34:55.000 --> 34:56.400 And it's still in use today. 34:56.400 --> 35:01.120 I mean, how many people, I mean, everybody should know that, you know, a square foot 35:01.120 --> 35:04.000 is 144 square inches. 35:04.120 --> 35:11.880 I mean, anybody who's a builder, a craft person, an artist should know basic rules of measurement. 35:11.880 --> 35:17.320 The Mayan world ages, now you notice there, do we see similar numbers? 35:17.320 --> 35:21.320 The Bakhtun, 144,000 days. 35:21.320 --> 35:25.760 So it's almost like they took the same, they had the same numbers, but they're now representing 35:25.760 --> 35:27.300 smaller cycles. 35:27.300 --> 35:32.520 But it's the same numbers representing the cyclical periods within nature. 35:32.520 --> 35:35.400 A tun is 360 days. 35:35.400 --> 35:39.240 And that was the typical, that was the sacred calendar that we find all over the ancient 35:39.240 --> 35:40.240 world. 35:40.240 --> 35:46.000 And then they had the five days added to that, the five unlucky days. 35:46.000 --> 35:54.240 So again, we see the same numbers being repeated redundantly throughout these various traditions. 35:54.240 --> 35:56.840 Sacred numbers embedded in solar system architecture. 35:56.840 --> 36:02.880 I'm only going to show you a few examples of this, in order to convey to you the idea. 36:02.880 --> 36:05.400 The solar orb. 36:05.400 --> 36:13.680 Well, if we measure that, we discover its radius is 432,000 miles. 36:13.680 --> the way, what is the origin of the mile unit that we use? 36:27.440 --> 36:32.200 Anybody know origin of the mile? 36:32.200 --> 36:37.040 Origin of the mile, it comes from the Latin word mil, which means a thousand. 36:37.040 --> 36:39.120 So it's talking about a thousand something. 36:39.120 --> 36:40.400 What would it be talking about? 36:40.400 --> 36:42.400 A thousand what? 36:42.400 --> 36:51.520 A thousand paces that average 5.28 feet in length. 36:51.920 --> 36:56.480 Actually goes back, we know that Romans were using a mile that were a thousand paces and 36:56.480 --> 37:02.080 they would lay out, Rome for example had a city center and everything was measured 37:02.080 --> 37:06.680 outwards from that city center according to paces. 37:06.680 --> 37:10.520 And those paces were, a thousand of them gave the Roman mile. 37:10.520 --> 37:15.360 The Roman pace was a little bit shorter than the British pace, which is where we get our 37:15.360 --> 37:16.360 mile from. 37:16.800 --> 37:22.360 In fact, interestingly, and I'm going to show you a diagram of this shortly, Stonehenge 37:22.360 --> 37:30.560 is 105, the outer ring of the Sarsen Stone Circle measures right at about 105.6 feet. 37:30.560 --> 37:32.960 Which makes it one-fifth of a mile. 37:32.960 --> 37:36.960 Or one-fiftieth of a mile, I'm sorry. 37:36.960 --> 37:41.720 That and several other numbers that we find in megalithic structures in ancient England 37:41.720 --> 37:45.640 suggest that the mile was actually a unit of measure that was being used as long ago 37:45.640 --> 37:48.480 as 4,000 that reason, you know, I, and once you begin to get into and understand the sacred 38:01.640 --> 38:07.740 basis of our ancient metrological or measuring systems, you'll realize that if we convert 38:07.860 --> 38:12.460 completely over to the metric system, we're going to lose something very, very profound. 38:12.460 --> 38:16.300 All right, remember, what was the length of the Kali Yuga? 1,080 miles, which gives it a diameter of 2,160. 38:54.740 --> 39:02.740 Remember I said that 1,080 or 108, and it's double, 2,160 was a lunar number. 39:02.740 --> 39:04.740 See, this is a clue to you now. 39:04.740 --> 39:09.740 There are several references, for example, in the Sumerian tradition describing the 39:09.740 --> 39:14.740 ark built by Xisithrus, which is being described as a cube that makes no sense. 39:14.740 --> 39:18.740 You think what kind of a ship is it that would be described as a cube? 39:18.740 --> 39:22.740 You know, that wouldn't be very seaworthy, a cube, right? 39:22.740 --> 39:25.740 But it's not referring to an actual ship as we think of it. 39:25.740 --> 39:30.740 It's referring to the cubing of the sphere, and in this case, the sphere that it's referring 39:30.740 --> 39:36.740 to is the moon, which was symbolically considered to be an ark to many of the ancient 39:36.740 --> 39:42.740 cultures that believed that the earth was periodically destroyed by great catastrophes. 39:42.740 --> 39:48.740 So we have the number 1,080, and we have the number 2,160. 39:48.740 --> 39:52.740 And then we have the earth. 39:52.740 --> 39:54.740 You know, that's the earth. 39:54.740 --> 39:59.740 And again, because of the spinning of the earth on its axis, we have this difference 39:59.740 --> 40:07.740 between the polar diameter, 78.99, or just think in round number 7,900 miles, 40:07.740 --> 40:11.740 and the equatorial diameter, 7,926. 40:11.740 --> 40:14.740 So that creates a 26-mile difference. 40:14.740 --> 40:19.740 And thank you for that 26-mile difference, because life on earth would be a very chaotic 40:19.740 --> 40:23.740 affair without that bulge. 40:23.740 --> 40:30.740 We see that the diameter of a sphere with the same surface area as earth is 7,920 miles. 40:30.740 --> 40:36.740 And also the diameter of the earth, when you take it from, if you slice it through the 40:36.740 --> 40:44.740 Tropic of Cancer through to the Tropic of Capricorn, that diameter also is about 7,920. 40:44.740 --> 40:51.740 So we use 7,920 as the sacred number to represent the earth, because even though the earth 40:51.740 --> 40:57.740 varies considerably between equatorial and polar diameters, we find that at a very 40:57.740 --> 41:03.740 significant piercing through of the earth's diameter from one Tropic to the other Tropic, 41:03.740 --> 41:10.740 turns out to be 7,920 miles, we also find that if we take a perfect sphere that has 41:10.740 --> 41:16.740 the same area, the same surface area as the earth actually has, its diameter would be 41:16.740 --> 41:19.740 7,920 miles. 41:19.740 --> 41:23.740 So that's the number we use for the earth. 41:23.740 --> 41:27.740 Which means that its radius is half that, or 3,960. 41:27.740 --> 41:32.740 And in most books you read, astronomy and so forth, when they're talking in round numbers 41:32.740 --> 41:38.740 about the radius or the diameter of the earth, these are the numbers they use. 41:38.740 --> 41:45.740 7920 and 3960. 41:45.740 --> 41:47.740 Okay. 41:47.740 --> 41:55.740 Now, what I've got here is evidence for advanced geodetic knowledge in archaic times. 41:55.740 --> 41:59.740 What is geodesy or geodetic knowledge? 41:59.740 --> 42:03.740 Geodesy is the determination of the size and the shape of the earth. 42:03.740 --> 42:08.740 Early in the 19th century, such knowledge was acquired by extensive land surveying 42:08.740 --> 42:12.740 and triangulating over large tracks of the earth's surface. 42:12.740 --> 42:17.740 Since the 1970s, orbital satellites have provided the most accurate picture of the 42:17.740 --> 42:21.740 earth's exact size and mass distribution. 42:21.740 --> 42:27.740 Any advanced comprehension of the larger picture of our planet as a suitable abode for the 42:27.740 --> 42:33.740 evolution of higher life requires knowledge of its size and shape. 42:33.740 --> 42:37.740 The total mass, of course, determines G, the gravitational constant. 42:37.740 --> 42:43.740 The equatorial bulge is an integral component of the forces acting to impose rotation and 42:43.740 --> 42:48.740 orbital stability on earth as it wheels about the sun. 42:48.740 --> 42:54.740 The relevance of these two basic factors to the evolution of life cannot be underestimated. 42:54.740 --> 43:00.740 Ancient master builders understood earth's fundamental geodetic parameters on a level 43:00.740 --> 43:04.740 not equaled until the advent of modern satellite surveys. 43:04.740 --> 43:06.740 How do we know that? 43:06.740 --> 43:14.740 Well, probably the most salient means we have of knowing that is the Great Pyramid of Chiops itself. 43:14.740 --> 43:19.740 And there's been lots and lots of speculation about what the form or what the function of the 43:19.740 --> 43:20.740 Great Pyramid was. 43:20.740 --> 43:25.740 Some of it, to me, is pretty out there. 43:25.740 --> 43:29.740 Some of it, I think, is pretty abstract and speculative. 43:29.740 --> 43:34.740 What I've always thought does make the most sense and has the greatest credibility is the 43:34.740 --> 43:37.740 pyramid is essentially a model of the earth, the northern hemisphere. 43:37.740 --> 43:39.740 And I'll show you how here. 43:39.740 --> 43:45.740 The thing you have to understand when you're looking at the measurement of the earth in terms of its 43:45.740 --> 43:47.740 size and shape is that we have lines. 43:47.740 --> 43:49.740 Everybody knows latitude and longitude. 43:49.740 --> 43:52.740 Latitude is measured north and south of the equator. 43:52.740 --> 43:57.740 Longitude is the measure around this way. 43:57.740 --> 44:02.740 Parallels are lines that run, that parallel to the equator. 44:02.740 --> 44:09.740 And traveling along one of the parallels, we would be displacing ourselves longitudinally. 44:09.740 --> 44:16.740 But parallels actually measure, you can see this parallel here, this is probably the Arctic Circle. 44:16.740 --> 44:19.740 It looks to me like about 66 and a half degrees north. 44:19.740 --> 44:22.740 So it is parallel to the equator. 44:22.740 --> 44:30.740 So depending on what parallel you are, 50:09.740 --> 50:14.740 Before we get to that, this is geodetic data, and you'll notice here we've got, 50:14.740 --> 50:21.740 going back to 1830, which was the first attempt in modern times to the two that were determined by satellite measurements. 50:43.740 --> 50:51.740 And you'll notice that as we come through here, we've got a polar radius in miles and an equatorial radius in miles, 50:51.740 --> 50:55.740 and then we have the difference in the two radii right here. 50:55.740 --> 51:02.740 And we assume that as we've come through, we're progressively getting better and better at measuring the size and shape of the earth, 51:02.740 --> 51:06.740 and finally with satellite measurements, we're getting down here, 51:06.740 --> 51:17.740 we've determined that the polar radius, for example, 3949.8934, 3949.8948. 51:17.740 --> 51:20.740 What does that translate into? Well, let's see. 51:20.740 --> 51:34.740 In terms of feet, that's a difference of 250 feet, roughly, between these two measurements. 51:34.740 --> 51:44.740 In other words, between the first satellite measurement in 72 and the second one in 1980, the difference was about 250 feet safe. 51:49.740 --> 51:53.740 The history of man may be far longer and stranger than we think. 51:53.740 --> 52:00.740 The Great Pyramid may indeed not fit in with what we believe about the past and the nature of the world. 52:00.740 --> 52:05.740 Thousands of years ago, someone measured the earth with remarkable accuracy 52:05.740 --> 52:14.740 and recorded this information in the dimensions of the largest and possibly the oldest stone building on the planet, William R. Ficks. 52:16.740 --> 52:20.740 Generally, the age of the pyramid is given around 4200 years. 52:21.740 --> 52:24.740 It's roughly about the same age as the Sphinx. 52:25.740 --> 52:31.740 Some of you are probably familiar with the, however, the redating of the Sphinx by several geologists, 52:31.740 --> 52:37.740 primarily Robert Schock from Boston University, who has studied the weathering of the limestone 52:37.740 --> 52:43.740 composing the Sphinx and the surrounding quarry that the Sphinx is situated in, 52:43.740 --> 52:50.740 and has determined that the rock has been severely weathered by water erosion. 52:51.740 --> 52:56.740 And of course, the Giza Plateau has been desert for the last 4000 years, 52:56.740 --> 53:02.740 so it's not likely you're going to find severe water erosion on the Sphinx if it's only 4000 years old. 53:02.740 --> 53:10.740 In fact, so severe is the water erosion that it's likely that the Sphinx is probably tens of thousands of years old. 53:10.740 --> 53:17.740 However, Robert Schock, in most of his public presentations, usually places it at 7000 to 9000 years, 53:17.740 --> 53:25.740 but he's told personally he just uses that because he's deliberately being very conservative because he's in the academic community, 53:25.740 --> 53:29.740 but he's perfectly willing to believe that it could be much older than that. 53:30.740 --> 53:37.740 And I've discussed the extent of the water erosion with him and discovered that he actually hasn't looked in depth 53:37.740 --> 53:42.740 at the comparable studies of rates of limestone weathering, 53:42.740 --> 53:51.740 which I spent a couple of months about 10 years ago studying, going around to various places where there were limestones 53:51.740 --> 53:56.740 and where you could see examples of limestone that had been weathered and had looked at, 53:56.740 --> 54:05.740 read the literature that had been done on limestone weathering and had concluded that it would be a minimum of 20,000 years worth of weathering. 54:06.740 --> 54:11.740 And that's a minimum if you took the Sphinx and set it in a climate with rainfall, 54:11.740 --> 54:17.740 like say we've been having for the last three months, which would average out to about 45 inches a year. 54:17.740 --> 54:21.740 Even with rainfall like we've been seeing here in Atlanta in the last three months, 54:21.740 --> 54:27.740 it would take the Sphinx a minimum of 20,000 to 30,000 years to get the level of erosion. 54:28.740 --> 54:33.740 That raises the question regarding the Great Pyramid. Could it be as old? 54:33.740 --> 54:36.740 And I see no reason why not. 54:36.740 --> 54:43.740 The problem here though is you know that the Great Pyramid was once covered in white limestone casing stones, 54:43.740 --> 54:50.740 highly polished and according to Arabic traditions, pretty much all the Arabic traditions and legends about the Great Pyramid, 54:50.740 --> 54:58.740 concur that the outside of the pyramid prior to the stripping of the casing stones was covered, completely covered in hieroglyphs. 54:59.740 --> 55:04.740 And one that just boggles one's mind to contemplate what might have been written here. 55:04.740 --> 55:11.740 But clearly I have a hard time imagining a greater act of vandalism in all of history than the stripping of those stones. 55:11.740 --> 55:19.740 In fact, there had been efforts to get into the pyramid up until the time of Al-Mamun, which was I think around 1200 AD, 55:19.740 --> 55:24.740 but they were completely ineffectual. And then somewhere around the 12th century, I've forgotten the exact year, 55:24.740 --> 55:30.740 there was a great earthquake in northern Egypt and it caused most of the buildings in Cairo to collapse 55:30.740 --> 55:40.740 and it also loosened some of the casing stones on the pyramid, which allowed them to get in and pry those stones loose from the top. 55:40.740 --> 55:48.740 And all of the stones were then stripped off and that high, that indurate, high quality limestone was stripped off 55:49.740 --> 55:53.740 and recarved and used in buildings to rebuild Cairo. 55:53.740 --> 56:03.740 So I've often thought there's probably temples somewhere in Cairo where maybe some of those original stones are still to be found with inscriptions intact. 56:03.740 --> 56:08.740 Of course I have no idea, but I oftentimes thought, wouldn't that be cool? 56:08.740 --> 56:15.740 Anyways, they stripped off the stones and as they stripped them off, there was a lot of rubble that fell down 56:15.740 --> 56:24.740 and buried the bottom of the pyramid, which turned out to be a good thing because it buried the bottom casing stones from those bottom, 56:24.740 --> 56:32.740 and preserved them. And so from those, you know, the various researchers could determine what the original exact angle of the pyramid was. 56:32.740 --> 56:38.740 And according to most calculations, it was around 51 degrees, 51 minutes, 14 seconds. 56:38.740 --> 56:45.740 I don't know if that level of accuracy is credible or not, but 51 minutes, 51 degrees, 51 minutes would be. 56:45.740 --> 56:50.740 And from there we can then determine what the geometry of the pyramid would have been and what its original height would have been 56:50.740 --> 56:57.740 simply by taking the tangent of that angle, 51 degrees, 51 minutes, and knowing the base length, 56:57.740 --> 57:01.740 one could calculate what the original height would have been to a high degree of accuracy. 57:02.740 --> 57:07.740 So that's been done by, oh, four or five different people over the years. 57:07.740 --> 57:13.740 J.H. Cole in 1925 did what's considered to be the definitive survey of the Great Pyramid. 57:13.740 --> 57:21.740 He was a professional survey who did a very meticulous survey after they had just cleared away all of the rubble and he had access to it. 57:21.740 --> 57:25.740 He did it under contract to the government of Egypt. 57:25.740 --> 57:30.740 The numbers that I'm about to show you here are mostly derived from his survey. 57:30.740 --> 57:35.740 So what we have here is some of the original casing stones. 57:35.740 --> 57:42.740 And they sit on what's called a soccle, which is this base, which was measured to be 55 centimeters in thickness. 57:42.740 --> 57:50.740 And of course, you've got to bear in mind that this original sloped casing stone, it wasn't stepped like that originally. 57:50.740 --> 57:53.740 It was a smooth profile. 57:53.740 --> 57:55.740 And, let me, okay. 57:55.740 --> 58:01.740 So here you have, of course, here you see that the casing stones were damaged by the rubble falling down. 58:01.740 --> 58:06.740 But enough of them were still intact that one could make this accurate determination of the original angle. 58:06.740 --> 58:11.740 Here's the soccle, which is 55 centimeters thick, and it sits directly on bedrock. 58:11.740 --> 58:19.740 So it actually, what it does is it creates two ways that one could measure the height of the pyramid, either with or without the soccle. 58:19.740 --> 58:22.740 There's also two ways of measuring the base. 58:22.740 --> 58:29.740 This is a reconstruction from a 1991 work on pharaonic stone masonry. 58:29.740 --> 58:37.740 And this shows that outside the corners, which was the core masonry, there are these sockets. 58:37.740 --> 58:41.740 And I found one picture showing a socket. 58:41.740 --> 58:45.740 This is showing one of the sockets that's still there, that sits outside the core masonry. 58:45.740 --> 58:51.740 But based on those sockets, they were able to reconstruct what the original base of the pyramid would have looked like. 58:51.740 --> 58:58.740 So here would have been the 51 degrees, 51 minutes coming down, sitting on the 55 centimeter thick soccle here, like this. 58:58.740 --> 59:03.740 Well, what this did was it gave two ways of measuring the perimeter of the pyramid's base. 59:03.740 --> 59:07.740 One could be measured from this point up on top of the soccle. 59:07.740 --> 59:11.740 The other could be measured from down here that included the soccle. 59:11.740 --> 59:16.740 So what you ended up with was two ways of measuring the pyramid's base. 59:16.740 --> 59:19.740 Well, which one was the correct one? 59:19.740 --> 59:27.740 Well, they were both correct. 01:11:51.740 --> 01:11:54.740 See, that's the interesting part. 01:11:54.740 --> 01:12:01.740 Because no primitive culture, using the method of Eratosthenes in about 300 BC in Greece, 01:12:01.740 --> 01:12:06.740 he measured the earth and was generally considered to be quite accurate, 01:12:06.740 --> 01:12:14.740 because he was able to get the circumference of the earth within about 500 miles of its actual measured circumference 01:12:14.740 --> 01:12:18.740 by using the methods available to the ancient Greeks. 01:12:18.740 --> 01:12:25.740 You see, and he was considered to be the first to measure by basically putting a stick in the ground 01:12:25.740 --> 01:12:31.740 and measuring the angle of the shadow on the longest day of the year, over a couple of successive years. 01:12:31.740 --> 01:12:38.740 That's actually an exercise we do in the sacred geometry class, because it's very interesting how he did that. 01:12:38.740 --> 01:12:45.740 But he was considered to be pretty proficient, because he was able to determine that the size of the earth 01:12:45.740 --> 01:12:49.740 the circumference of the earth was 25,000 miles, 01:12:49.740 --> 01:12:54.740 when it's generally considered to be about 24,800, depending on where you measure it. 01:12:54.740 --> 01:12:59.740 So he was maybe within 50 miles of the actual dimension of the earth, 01:12:59.740 --> 01:13:04.740 but nowhere near as close as the pyramid would have been. 01:13:04.740 --> 01:13:08.740 So again, even if the pyramid was built 4,200 years ago, 01:13:08.740 --> 01:13:14.740 you've got to say who 4,200 years ago had the technology to measure the earth. 01:13:14.740 --> 01:13:17.740 With that degree of accuracy. 01:13:17.740 --> 01:13:23.740 Now, that we know of, nobody 4,200 years ago did, or how they would have done it, we don't know. 01:13:23.740 --> 01:13:28.740 But on the other hand, if it turns out that the pyramid could be much older, 01:13:28.740 --> 01:13:34.740 it leads us back to the, you know, going back 10,000 or 20,000 years, 01:13:34.740 --> 01:13:40.740 this to me is one of those little, sort of like the little crack in the dike, 01:13:40.740 --> 01:13:46.740 if you don't keep it plugged, the whole edifice of contemporary knowledge could get swept away. 01:13:46.740 --> 01:13:52.740 Because we can't acknowledge that somebody 10,000 or 20,000 years ago was scientifically sophisticated. 01:13:52.740 --> 01:13:58.740 That was the days of Cro-Magnon Man and Alley-oop living in the cave and so forth. 01:13:58.740 --> 01:14:04.740 Cavemen, which is a silly idea actually, yes, I'm sure people did take refuge in caves. 01:14:04.740 --> 01:14:10.740 When things got really crazy out here, yes, I think people did take refuge in caves. 01:14:10.740 --> 01:14:15.740 But see, this is one of those things, again, that if you accept that it's not just a coincidence, 01:14:15.740 --> 01:14:20.740 it opens up a whole can of worms that mainstream science generally doesn't want to address. 01:14:20.740 --> 01:14:25.740 Because we're the epitome of scientific evolution right here and now, right? We're all familiar with the Parthenon. Probably the most famous and controversial number out of the Bible, 666. 01:27:25.740 --> 01:27:30.740 Well, if you want to understand what that is actually referring to, 01:27:30.740 --> 01:27:35.740 you have to peel back the outer literal representation of these tales 01:27:35.740 --> 01:27:40.740 and look at the underlying mathematical architecture, because that's where it's concealed. 01:27:40.740 --> 01:27:47.740 And it actually turns out that the orbit orbital velocity of the earth around the sun is 66600 miles per hour. 01:27:47.740 --> 01:27:51.740 Exactly. That's right here. 01:52:08.740 --> 01:52:11.740 And this is 150,000 years ago. 01:52:11.740 --> 01:52:17.740 And the reason I used 150,000 years is that some of the earliest skeletal remains ever discovered 01:52:17.740 --> 01:52:23.740 of modern humans date back to 152, even to 180,000 years. 01:52:23.740 --> 01:52:28.740 Skeletons that appear to be indistinguishable from a modern skeleton. 01:52:28.740 --> 01:52:34.740 Which suggests that modern humans with presumably equivalent intelligence to our own 01:52:34.740 --> 01:52:39.740 were present on the planet at least this far back. 01:52:39.740 --> 01:52:42.740 So here we've got 150,000 year time span. 01:52:42.740 --> 01:52:49.740 You'll notice this little red bar at the end, that red bar represents the span of recorded history. 01:52:49.740 --> 01:52:55.740 Which is basically the advent of Sumerian cuneiform writing. 01:52:55.740 --> 01:53:04.740 So if it turns out that there were modern humans living through this whole span of time, 01:53:04.740 --> 01:53:07.740 why is there no history? 01:53:07.740 --> 01:53:12.740 Well now you've got to turn to these various things that I've put on here. 01:53:12.740 --> 01:53:15.740 These are events that have occurred. 01:53:15.740 --> 01:53:18.740 And I used a certain criteria for these events. 01:53:18.740 --> 01:53:20.740 And here's the criteria I used. 01:53:20.740 --> 01:53:28.740 I've been studying the record of geological change, climate change, environmental change. 01:53:28.740 --> 01:53:34.740 And I focused on events that could be considered catastrophic. 01:53:34.740 --> 01:53:45.740 And catastrophic to the extent that were an event of an equivalent magnitude to occur now, 01:53:45.740 --> 01:53:49.740 it would basically end civilization as we know it. 01:53:49.740 --> 01:53:51.740 That's the criteria I used. 01:53:51.740 --> 01:53:59.740 What would be the magnitude of an event that it would take to terminate our modern industrial civilization? 01:53:59.740 --> 01:54:01.740 That's the criteria that I used. 01:54:01.740 --> 01:54:08.740 Then I began to search through the record of all of the events that would be of that magnitude or greater. 01:54:08.740 --> 01:54:13.740 And the events that I've found so far have been entered onto this graph. 01:54:13.740 --> 01:54:16.740 And they're listed all here, you can see them. 01:54:16.740 --> 01:54:18.740 And how many do we have here? 01:54:18.740 --> 01:54:33.740 And this is not complete necessarily, but we have at least one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen of them in 150,000 years. 01:54:33.740 --> 01:54:43.740 So at least 16 times in the last 150,000 years there have been climate or environmental or geological catastrophes 01:54:43.740 --> 01:54:50.740 powerful enough that were they to occur today would essentially put us back into the Stone Age. 01:54:50.740 --> 01:54:56.740 Would essentially, if you think about some of the small catastrophes we have seen in the last few years 01:54:56.740 --> 01:55:04.740 from the destruction of New Orleans to the great tsunami, to some of the big earthquakes that we've seen, 01:55:04.740 --> 01:55:07.740 New Orleans is still not recovering. 01:55:07.740 --> 01:55:15.740 But you've got to imagine what would happen if an event that was one order of magnitude greater than Katrina happened. 01:55:15.740 --> 01:55:17.740 By that I mean ten times worse. 01:55:17.740 --> 01:55:23.740 Let's say that we had ten cities decimated to the extent of New Orleans. 01:55:23.740 --> 01:55:29.740 We could certainly recover from that, but it would be a major effort to do so. 01:55:29.740 --> 01:55:32.740 Now what if we were talking about two orders of magnitude? 01:55:32.740 --> 01:55:40.740 Let's say to put it into a rough equivalency, an event that could cause the decimation of a hundred major urban areas. 01:55:40.740 --> 01:55:45.740 Could we recover from that? You're listening to some tunes. 01:58:49.740 --> 01:58:51.740 You're not paying much attention. 01:58:51.740 --> 01:58:53.740 You're talking on your cell phone. 01:58:53.740 --> 01:58:55.740 Not much traffic. 01:58:55.740 --> 01:58:58.740 Okay, now you come up to a major highway. 01:58:58.740 --> 01:59:00.740 Cars are like this. 01:59:00.740 --> 01:59:04.740 Well, you're crossing that intersection, and while you're crossing that intersection, 01:59:04.740 --> 01:59:08.740 now suddenly you've got to put your cell phone down and start paying attention, 01:59:08.740 --> 01:59:11.740 because if you don't, you're going to get T-boned, right? 01:59:11.740 --> 01:59:14.740 Well, obviously, you've got your whole journey, 01:59:14.740 --> 01:59:18.740 and each time you cross an intersection of a major highway, 01:59:18.740 --> 01:59:24.740 the potential of a catastrophe increases considerably 01:59:24.740 --> 01:59:29.740 over what it would be while you're out there on the lonely country road. 01:59:29.740 --> 01:59:34.740 Well, you see, our planet is on a cosmic highway around the galaxy, 01:59:35.740 --> 01:59:39.740 and we're now beginning to understand the fine structure of the galaxy, 01:59:39.740 --> 01:59:42.740 and we realize that there is a pattern and an order to it, 01:59:42.740 --> 01:59:46.740 and there's a tempo of these orbital revolutions. 01:59:46.740 --> 01:59:48.740 There's a tempo of the galaxy, 01:59:48.740 --> 01:59:53.740 and there's a wave pattern of the Earth moving up and down, 01:59:53.740 --> 01:59:55.740 above and below the galactic plane, 01:59:55.740 --> 01:59:59.740 and within that, there are suborbital cycles as well. 01:59:59.740 --> 02:00:03.740 And we also discover that there seems to be a tempo 02:00:03.740 --> 02:00:08.740 in the delivery of cosmic matter to the inner solar system. 02:00:08.740 --> 02:00:11.740 It doesn't seem to be random, 02:00:11.740 --> 02:00:14.740 and this is going to be beyond the scope of today's lecture, 02:00:14.740 --> 02:00:19.740 but what I'm getting at here is that the evidence now supports the conclusion 02:00:19.740 --> 02:00:24.740 that the delivery of cosmic material and energy, 02:00:24.740 --> 02:00:28.740 the energy pulses that would be affecting Earth are non-random, 02:00:28.740 --> 02:00:33.740 that they are on some kind of a cosmic timetable, a cosmic tempo, if you will. 02:00:33.740 --> 02:00:36.740 And I think this is one of the most important insights 02:00:36.740 --> 02:00:38.740 we get from these ancient traditions, 02:00:38.740 --> 02:00:43.740 is the measurement of cosmic time and how it relates to us here on Earth. 02:00:43.740 --> 02:00:46.740 You just got to know what to look for and where to look for it. 02:00:46.740 --> 02:00:50.740 Once you begin to become aware of it and you begin to see it, 02:00:50.740 --> 02:00:55.740 you begin to realize that the cosmic fingerprints are everywhere about us. 02:00:55.740 --> 02:01:01.740 We're in fact living in and upon the wreckage of the former worlds. 02:01:01.740 --> 02:01:05.740 The rubble of these former worlds is all around us, 02:01:05.740 --> 02:01:10.740 but we haven't had the scale of perspective to see it. 02:01:10.740 --> 02:01:12.740 And that's where we're at now. 02:01:12.740 --> 02:01:15.740 I'm completely thrilled with things like the emergence of Google Earth, 02:01:15.740 --> 02:01:19.740 because Google Earth is now allowing us to just somebody, all of us, 02:01:19.740 --> 02:01:23.740 to sit at our computers and see the cosmic perspective of Earth. 02:01:23.740 --> 02:01:28.740 And when you look at it from the extraterrestrial point of view, 02:01:28.740 --> 02:01:33.740 things begin to show up that we don't see when we're right down here immersed on it, 02:01:33.740 --> 02:01:40.740 so close that we're like ants walking under rubble and can't see what's around us. 02:01:40.740 --> 02:01:47.740 But we do see that we literally have built our own world and our own social system 02:01:47.740 --> 02:01:52.740 on top of and out of the wreckage of former worlds.
