Sitchin said that these were beings who came to earth from heaven and suggested that that

And he personally came to the conclusion that their ultimate goal in coming to earth was

to mine gold.

And along the way, they created humanity as a slave race in order to mine that gold.

We now know with hindsight that that is not true, that the Sumerian texts simply say

nothing about the Anunnaki coming to earth on a quest for gold, in particular, a quest

In fact, if you read Mr. Sitchin's book, The Stairway to Heaven, he says very plainly

that we don't know why they came here.

human body was an alchemist.

I believe that they're conveying the same idea, that both of these figures have gone

through a process of transmutation, utilized a technology where their bodies are accelerated,
