1 01:00:09,640 --> 01:00:14,640 I'm sorry. 01:01.000 --> 01:02.000 I'm sorry. 01:02.000 --> 01:03.000 I'm sorry. 01:03.000 --> 01:04.000 I'm sorry. 01:04.000 --> 01:05.000 I'm sorry. 01:05.000 --> 01:06.000 I'm sorry. 01:06.000 --> 01:07.000 I'm sorry. 01:07.000 --> 01:08.000 I'm sorry. 01:08.000 --> 01:09.000 I'm sorry. 01:09.000 --> 01:10.000 I'm sorry. 01:10.000 --> 01:11.000 I'm sorry. 01:11.000 --> 01:12.000 I'm sorry. 01:12.000 --> 01:13.000 I'm sorry. 01:13.000 --> 01:14.000 I'm sorry. 01:14.000 --> 01:15.000 I'm sorry. 01:15.000 --> 01:16.000 I'm sorry. 01:16.000 --> 01:17.000 I'm sorry. 01:17.000 --> 01:18.000 I'm sorry. 01:18.000 --> 01:19.000 I'm sorry. 01:19.000 --> 01:20.000 I'm sorry. 01:20.000 --> 01:21.000 I'm sorry. 01:21.000 --> 01:22.000 I'm sorry. 01:22.000 --> 01:23.000 I'm sorry. 01:23.000 --> 01:24.000 I'm sorry. 01:24.000 --> 01:25.000 I'm sorry. 01:25.000 --> 01:26.000 I'm sorry. 01:26.000 --> 01:27.000 I'm sorry. 01:27.000 --> 01:28.000 I'm sorry. 01:28.000 --> 01:29.000 I'm sorry. 01:29.000 --> 01:34.360 Right after we left the safe house, we came down and was dropped off on the other side 01:34.360 --> 01:37.240 of the triple underpass. 01:37.240 --> 01:38.920 We checked back over this way. 01:38.920 --> 01:41.760 We spotted the grassy knoll on the north side. 01:41.760 --> 01:48.560 Next logical shot. 01:48.560 --> 01:54.320 I don't know if we will ever know how many shooters there were. 01:54.320 --> 01:56.920 My investigation shows that Johnny Roselli was there. 01:56.920 --> 01:58.720 Chuck Nicoletti was there. 01:58.720 --> 02:02.680 James Files was there. 02:02.680 --> 02:04.880 I'm fixing to lose my field of fire. 02:04.880 --> 02:10.000 And at this point, either I shoot or I put in a suitcase and leave one or the other. 02:10.000 --> 02:12.000 I took the shot. 02:12.000 --> 02:21.080 I fired one shot, one shot on her. 02:21.080 --> 02:26.720 John F. Kennedy was the first American president born in the 20th century. 02:26.720 --> 02:33.080 A highly educated man, Kennedy had a grasp of geopolitics and finance that far surpassed 02:33.080 --> 02:36.200 most modern American presidents. 02:36.200 --> 02:40.560 He also began to address a number of problem areas that had previously been considered 02:40.560 --> 02:44.360 off limits to his predecessors. 02:44.360 --> 02:54.600 Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, 02:55.240 --> 03:05.920 bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the 03:05.920 --> 03:11.480 survival and the success of liberty. 03:11.480 --> 03:17.040 Kennedy's problems with the CIA began immediately after his inauguration, when he approved 03:17.040 --> 03:22.000 a plan already in the works to invade Cuba. 03:22.000 --> 03:28.080 The CIA predicted Cuba would rise up against Fidel Castro, but instead the venture proved 03:28.080 --> 03:33.080 a bitter failure. 03:33.080 --> 03:36.960 The assault has begun on the dictatorship of Fidel Castro. 03:36.960 --> 03:41.400 Cuban army pilots opened the first phase of organized revolt with bombing raids on three 03:41.400 --> 03:42.400 military bases. 03:42.400 --> 03:46.960 Two of the B-26 life bombers then seek asylum in Florida. 03:46.960 --> 03:51.360 On the heels of the air raids, landings were affected by rebels at several places on the 03:51.360 --> 03:56.560 Cuban coast, and the rebellion against the Red Tins dictator was on, with the refugee 03:56.560 --> 04:01.560 pilot claiming a full-scale army revolt near. 04:01.560 --> 04:09.880 In Havana, acting Foreign Minister Olivares shows diplomats rockets fired from the Cuban 04:09.880 --> 04:12.880 raiders, which he claims have U.S. markings. 04:12.880 --> 04:20.760 Meanwhile, at the United Nations, Cuban Foreign Minister Roa accused the United States of 04:20.760 --> 04:23.400 unleashing a war of invasion. 04:23.400 --> 04:29.200 In 1961, when it became apparent to the world that the Bay of Pigs invasion was a thinly 04:29.200 --> 04:35.280 disguised attempt by the U.S. to invade Cuba, Kennedy declined to use the full weight of 04:35.280 --> 04:42.640 American military might, angering the hawks within the Pentagon and CIA. 04:42.640 --> 04:52.480 The CIA unchecked, no checks and balances on them, basically ran their own ship, didn't 04:52.480 --> 05:01.700 answer to anybody, and Kennedy, at that time, was about to disband them. 05:01.700 --> 05:05.680 He wasn't happy with the Bay of Pigs, he wasn't happy with all the operations they had going 05:05.680 --> 05:06.680 to kill Castro. 05:06.680 --> 05:10.480 He was rather embarrassed by some of the operations they had going. 05:10.480 --> 05:17.440 He fired Dulles, and he fired General Cabell, and strangely enough, the mayor of Dallas, 05:17.440 --> 05:19.720 Texas, General Cabell was brought. 05:19.720 --> 05:24.600 Kennedy was also having second thoughts on our involvement in Vietnam. 05:24.600 --> 05:29.080 Soon after taking office, he had been confronted with a crisis in the Southeast Asian nation 05:29.080 --> 05:35.360 of Laos, where the Communist Pateit Lao were fighting against the CIA-sponsored General 05:35.360 --> 05:38.560 Fumi Novasan. 05:38.560 --> 05:44.080 As in the Bay of Pigs invasion, all of Kennedy's advisors, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, 05:44.080 --> 05:49.920 urged him to send in U.S. troops, but again, he declined. 05:49.920 --> 05:56.720 So you had the military against him, Johnson and Kennedy hated each other. 05:56.720 --> 06:04.400 Just prior to his death, Kennedy signed National Security Action Memorandum 263, which effectively 06:04.400 --> 06:11.520 called for the return of all U.S. troops from Vietnam by the end of 1965. 06:11.520 --> 06:17.320 Kennedy's disengagement orders were countermanded days after his assassination by this security 06:17.320 --> 06:22.720 memorandum, authorized by his successor, Lyndon Johnson. 06:22.720 --> 06:29.200 The initial draft of this order was dated November 21, 1963, a time when Kennedy was 06:29.200 --> 06:33.400 in Texas and the day before he arrived in Dallas. 06:33.400 --> 06:39.000 Not only are you looking at things getting tight for CIA, you're looking at things getting 06:39.000 --> 06:42.600 tight for the Mafia, you're looking at Bobby Kennedy going after them. 06:42.600 --> 06:47.640 I think that in the field of organized crime, I think it's a very serious situation that's 06:47.640 --> 06:49.880 facing the country at the present time. 06:49.880 --> 06:52.600 I think a lot of steps can be taken in order to deal with the problem. 06:52.600 --> 06:56.600 I think it's gotten much more serious over the period of the last ten years. 06:56.600 --> 07:01.880 Robert Kennedy was pursuing organized crime with a vengeance. 07:01.880 --> 07:07.280 He launched a crusade which was on the verge of annihilating the Mafia. 07:07.280 --> 07:13.680 Thousands of Mafia members were either in jail, under indictment, or under such close 07:13.680 --> 07:16.680 surveillance that they could barely operate. 07:16.680 --> 07:22.480 The mob would not have been around much longer if the Kennedys had been allowed to continue 07:22.480 --> 07:23.480 their work. 07:23.480 --> 07:25.920 So, who did it? 07:25.920 --> 07:27.760 Well, I can throw another one in. 07:28.640 --> 07:33.960 He's going to get rid of J. Edgar Hoover if he's re-elected in 1964, and Hoover knows 07:33.960 --> 07:34.960 that. 07:34.960 --> 07:36.240 He's mandatory retirement time. 07:36.240 --> 07:38.760 What does Johnson do after he gets in the White House? 07:38.760 --> 07:42.360 But give him a permanent deferment to the day he dies. 07:42.360 --> 07:45.280 They could give him the director if he lives to be 150. 07:45.280 --> 07:48.440 So you've got all these people that don't like Kennedy. 07:49.120 --> 07:58.680 You know, you talk about conspiracy, you talk about how could it last 40 years without 07:58.680 --> 08:01.720 somebody in the conspiracy saying anything. 08:01.720 --> 08:06.120 Former Special Agent Zach Sheldon was an agent who worked under my supervision. 08:06.120 --> 08:13.600 He had called me and presented to me the stage of the investigation on Kennedy assassination 08:13.600 --> 08:16.120 that he had been conducting independently. 08:16.800 --> 08:25.080 It was quite obvious from our conversation that Zach had the investigators' fire for 08:25.080 --> 08:31.080 the investigation, which to a certain degree concerned me. 08:31.080 --> 08:39.560 And I wanted Zach, and I told him at this time, to kind of step back and don't let 08:39.560 --> 08:42.120 your emotions run. 08:42.120 --> 08:50.560 But hold yourself as the investigator and let the information facts flow. 08:50.560 --> 08:57.220 I entered on duty with the FBI in 1970 and became an agent in 1973, where I went to 08:57.220 --> 09:02.780 Kansas City, Missouri, then Chicago, Illinois, and then the Houston Division. 09:02.780 --> 09:08.640 When I was in Kansas City and Chicago, my main investigative duties was on the organized 09:08.640 --> 09:10.200 crime squad. 09:10.280 --> 09:16.720 Since retiring in 1998 from the FBI, I have spent a lot of time investigating the Kennedy 09:16.720 --> 09:18.760 assassination. 09:18.760 --> 09:24.200 Why do we want to open up this sore again? 09:24.200 --> 09:33.220 Has there not been enough Zach facts, warrant commission books written, documentaries written? 09:33.220 --> 09:40.100 What makes your information so different and unique than what has previously been 09:40.100 --> 09:43.940 presented? 09:43.940 --> 09:53.600 We then decided at this time that Zach must convince me, as the old supervisor, that there 09:53.600 --> 10:01.460 was sufficient information here where I would authorize an investigation, meaning predication, 10:01.460 --> 10:03.080 a purpose. 10:03.080 --> 10:06.100 Why spend the effort? 10:06.100 --> 10:12.080 The 1960 election between John Kennedy and Richard Nixon was extremely close. 10:12.080 --> 10:18.320 The victory was ensured by Mayor Daley's machine in Chicago and the overwhelming margin 10:18.320 --> 10:24.760 provided in Chicago's first ward, which was under the control of the Chicago Crime Syndicate, 10:24.760 --> 10:29.200 led by Tony Iacardo and Sam Giancana. 10:29.320 --> 10:34.760 The husband of Antoinette Giancana, a good friend of mine and colleague, her name of 10:34.760 --> 10:37.400 course is on the book here. 10:37.400 --> 10:44.480 The husband is a man named Bob McDonald, who was Sam Giancana's good friend and also his 10:44.480 --> 10:46.480 lawyer. 10:46.480 --> 10:52.720 Bob McDonald was the one that introduced Sam Giancana to Father Joseph Patrick Kennedy 10:52.720 --> 10:54.720 in Judge Toohey's office. 10:54.720 --> 10:59.000 Judge Toohey was a well-known judge in Chicago. 10:59.800 --> 11:08.040 So, Sam Giancana was told by Father Kennedy, you help to elect my son John F. Kennedy 11:08.040 --> 11:11.720 for the presidency and we will go easy on your operation. 11:11.720 --> 11:17.720 So Giancana did a great deal to make sure about John Kennedy's election. 11:17.720 --> 11:24.280 For example, in the first ward that he had control over, it was 79% for Kennedy. 11:24.280 --> 11:30.600 And the 27th ward that he also had great control over, it was 85%. 11:30.600 --> 11:36.280 That's opposed to a 66% average voter turnout for Kennedy. 11:36.280 --> 11:40.840 Basically, Joe Kennedy promised the mob the White House. 11:40.840 --> 11:44.720 You elect my son and the White House is yours. 11:44.720 --> 11:46.920 Well, what did they do? 11:46.920 --> 11:50.960 They thought they elected their son because Illinois is the one that flipped it in West 11:50.960 --> 11:51.960 Virginia. 11:52.640 --> 11:55.000 Well, who flipped it in Illinois? 11:55.000 --> 11:57.200 None other than Chicago. 11:57.200 --> 11:59.840 And they felt like they got Kennedy elected. 11:59.840 --> 12:03.000 So when Bobby steps in, they felt betrayed. 12:03.000 --> 12:08.680 Bobby Kennedy, of course, was attorney general and he decided that he would make his name 12:08.680 --> 12:10.600 going after the mob. 12:10.600 --> 12:11.800 And he certainly did. 12:11.800 --> 12:16.280 And then Sam Giancana had this lockstep surveillance. 12:16.280 --> 12:20.640 Even when he went to the bathroom, there was somebody going to the bathroom with him, namely 12:20.640 --> 12:23.240 an FBI agent. 12:23.240 --> 12:28.440 This was not a good idea to double cross the mafia. 12:28.440 --> 12:33.480 Carlos Marcelo, the crime boss of New Orleans, became the target of Robert Kennedy's war 12:33.480 --> 12:39.080 on crime when he was unceremoniously dumped into the jungles of Guatemala, where he had 12:39.080 --> 12:45.000 to endure several days of hardship while fighting for his life before making it back into the 12:45.000 --> 12:46.920 United States. 12:47.600 --> 12:52.320 FBI Special Agent Michael Wax spent much of his time in New Orleans working undercover 12:52.320 --> 12:58.120 on the Marcelo case and provides invaluable insight regarding Marcelo's anger at the 12:58.120 --> 12:59.600 Kennedys. 12:59.600 --> 13:08.960 During our time with Mr. Marcelo, which was quite extensive, he made reference to his 13:08.960 --> 13:13.480 problems in the past with the Kennedy family. 13:13.480 --> 13:18.920 Anytime there was a mention of the Kennedy family or the Kennedy administration, he 13:18.920 --> 13:21.680 would get extremely violent about it. 13:21.680 --> 13:29.000 We'd go into a tirade over what had happened to him at the hands of specifically Robert 13:29.000 --> 13:32.320 Kennedy, who was then attorney general. 13:32.320 --> 13:40.280 In the spring and summer of 1963, according to credible federal witnesses, three major 13:41.040 --> 13:48.040 mafia figures were all discussing plots to kill John and Robert Kennedy, John or Robert. 13:49.040 --> 13:56.040 Carlos Marcelo, mafia boss of New Orleans, spoke about killing President Kennedy. 13:57.240 --> 14:03.280 Santos Trafacanti, mafia boss of Tampa, predicted that Kennedy would be killed. 14:03.280 --> 14:10.280 And Jimmy Hoffa, who was a teamster boss who was close with both Trafacanti and Marcelo, 14:10.280 --> 14:17.280 is asking an FBI informant to procure some explosives to murder Robert Kennedy. 14:17.920 --> 14:22.440 In addition, the mafia stood to lose millions when Castro kicked them out of Cuba and ended 14:22.440 --> 14:26.960 what could be called Cuba's role as a client state for the mob. 14:26.960 --> 14:32.760 And Sam Giancana, he had a multi-million dollar shrimp industry, a number of hotels and casinos 14:32.920 --> 14:34.520 in Havana. 14:34.520 --> 14:37.600 All of it was lost thanks to the Bay of Pigs. 14:37.600 --> 14:43.280 And so he blamed Kennedy, of course, as many people have, for the disasters of the Bay 14:43.280 --> 14:47.480 of Pigs, when he lost many millions of dollars. 14:47.480 --> 14:54.480 The CIA, Cuban refugees, and organized crime began a strange union to try to assassinate 14:54.960 --> 14:58.320 the Cuban leader Fidel Castro. 14:58.320 --> 15:05.320 Prior to November 22, 1963, the mob were in bed with the CIA. 15:05.320 --> 15:12.120 Years before, they connected through a guy by the name of Robert Mayhew, who was a retired 15:12.120 --> 15:19.120 FBI agent, that put the Chicago mob together with the CIA and came up with the operation 15:19.560 --> 15:21.720 to kill Castro. 15:21.720 --> 15:27.120 Chauncey Holt's links to organized crime go back to the late 1930s, when he met future 15:27.120 --> 15:29.840 crime boss Peter Liccavoli. 15:29.840 --> 15:35.320 Chauncey Holt's expertise and value for the mob began after the Second World War, when 15:35.320 --> 15:39.080 he served as a bookkeeper for mob boss Meyer Lansky. 15:39.080 --> 15:44.520 Holt, through his links with organized crime, became involved in the shadowy world of the 15:44.520 --> 15:46.520 CIA. 15:46.520 --> 15:51.520 Of the plans that they had had, the one that ended up with Mongoose was the most ridiculous 15:51.520 --> 15:55.440 of all in which they decided they would use organized crime. 15:55.960 --> 16:00.960 The feeling, I guess, that organized crime is skillful at that sort of thing. 16:00.960 --> 16:05.960 There may be certain types of assassination they're good at, but other types they're not. 16:07.680 --> 16:14.680 So they enlisted the better known names, Giancana, Roselli, in Operation Mongoose. 16:15.960 --> 16:22.440 They had Edward Lansdale and William King Harvey, all the guys who later became legends 16:22.440 --> 16:27.640 and there's no use to expound on their career, they got involved in this. 16:27.640 --> 16:34.640 When you speak of the mob, they're one and the same as far as the CIA at that particular time. 16:43.520 --> 16:49.520 The course of the entire nation changed when gunshots rang out in Dallas. 16:49.520 --> 16:54.840 The accounts of the assassination varied depending on where people stood in the plaza. 16:54.840 --> 16:59.720 Many people near Houston Street said shots came from the area of the Texas School Book 16:59.720 --> 17:06.720 Depository, a private company that warehoused school textbooks for a number of publishers. 17:06.720 --> 17:13.720 However, over 75% of the bystanders in the plaza said shots came from a slope which came 17:14.120 --> 17:21.120 to be known as the Grassy Knoll, located north of the Triple Underpass in Dallas. 17:21.120 --> 17:28.120 In fact, the Grassy Knoll was where many bystanders rushed immediately following the shots which hit Kennedy. 17:28.120 --> 17:33.120 Those between these two locations, such as World War II combat veteran A.J. Milliken, 17:33.120 --> 17:40.120 reported shots from both directions. 17:43.720 --> 17:50.720 When the gunfire ended, the president was rushed to nearby Parkland Hospital, where 17:50.720 --> 17:57.720 he was pronounced dead shortly after 1 p.m. Acting Press Secretary Malcolm Kildof indicated 17:57.720 --> 18:04.720 the fatal shot entered his boss's right temple. 18:04.720 --> 18:11.720 Meanwhile, about a quarter of the people who were killed in the shooting were killed 18:11.720 --> 18:14.720 in the shooting range. 18:14.720 --> 18:21.720 The shooting was in the area of the Texas School of the Arts, which was the largest 18:21.720 --> 18:26.720 area of the bullet right through the head. 18:26.720 --> 18:31.720 Meanwhile, back in Dealey Plaza, attention was directed to the Texas School Book Depository, 18:31.720 --> 18:37.720 where a rifle and spent cartridges were found on the sixth floor. 18:37.720 --> 18:42.720 Shots apparently came from the fifth floor of the Texas Book Store Depository building, 18:42.720 --> 18:44.720 possibly from an automatic cut weapon. 18:44.720 --> 18:50.720 Police were looking for a young white man dressed in a white shirt with sleeve eyes. 18:50.720 --> 18:55.720 Within an hour of the Kennedy assassination, a young ex-marine named Lee Harvey Oswald 18:55.720 --> 19:00.720 was arrested for slipping in a South Dallas movie theater without paying. 19:00.720 --> 19:04.720 But police obviously had more serious charges in mind. 19:04.720 --> 19:08.720 As they hauled Oswald from the theater, some were heard to shout, 19:08.720 --> 19:10.720 kill the president, will you? 19:10.720 --> 19:14.720 Oswald himself seemed fearful of being killed. 19:14.720 --> 19:20.720 He shouted to bystanders, I am not resisting arrest. 19:20.720 --> 19:26.720 Upon arrival at the Dallas police station more than an hour and a half after the assassination, 19:26.720 --> 19:31.720 it was discovered that the man police had arrested had two sets of identification, 19:31.720 --> 19:38.720 one in the name of Lee Harvey Oswald and another for Alec James Heidel. 19:38.720 --> 19:43.720 Chauncey Holt's duties included the making of false identifications for the CIA, 19:43.720 --> 19:46.720 at which he was considered an expert. 19:46.720 --> 19:53.720 We did false identifications, a number of false identifications that ended up in the hands of authorities. 19:53.720 --> 20:03.720 We did other IDs for Oswald in both his name and Heidel, 20:03.720 --> 20:08.720 some of which, as far as I know, never ended up in anybody's. 20:08.720 --> 20:11.720 What happened to them, we don't know. 20:11.720 --> 20:16.720 Jay Bartel is a longtime friend and associate of Chauncey Holt. 20:16.720 --> 20:22.720 Bartel worked with Holt on many operations and can verify his connections with the CIA. 20:22.720 --> 20:34.720 He was associated with people that I believe and he believed were definitely connected with the death of the president. 20:34.720 --> 20:40.720 The immediate aftermath of the assassination of John F. Kennedy was fraught with lies and inconsistencies 20:40.720 --> 20:44.720 that raise more questions than answers. 20:44.720 --> 20:48.720 Hoover found out almost immediately after the assassination course that had occurred, 20:48.720 --> 20:51.720 so he called Robert Kennedy out at Hickory Hill. 20:51.720 --> 20:55.720 Kennedy was having a crime conference out there. 20:55.720 --> 21:01.720 He informed Robert Kennedy that the president had been shot and that he had been seriously wounded. 21:01.720 --> 21:05.720 He said he'd call back when he got more information, and then he called back a short time later 21:05.720 --> 21:11.720 and simply informed Robert Kennedy very casually, very coolly that the president was dead. 21:11.720 --> 21:13.720 That was the end of the conversation. 21:13.720 --> 21:17.720 After that, from that time on, he would not deal with Robert Kennedy directly. 21:17.720 --> 21:19.720 He essentially dismissed him after that. 21:19.720 --> 21:23.720 The morning after the assassination, he presented Lyndon Johnson with a highly biased report 21:23.720 --> 21:29.720 that had very selective data in it that was simply designed to implicate Oswald. 21:29.720 --> 21:33.720 Even before Oswald was even charged with anything, Friday afternoon, a few hours after the assassination, 21:33.720 --> 21:38.720 before Kennedy's body even arrived in Washington, who were already dictated in term limo, 21:38.720 --> 21:41.720 in essence saying that Oswald was guilty. 21:44.720 --> 21:50.720 The president's body was forcibly removed from Parkland Hospital in Dallas by the Secret Service 21:50.720 --> 21:57.720 and taken to Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, where an autopsy would be performed that evening, 21:57.720 --> 22:06.720 Friday, 22 November 1963, by two naval officers who had no previous experience with gunshot victims. 22:06.720 --> 22:15.720 Two FBI special agents, James Seibert and Francis O'Neill, are assigned to witness the autopsy of John F. Kennedy. 22:15.720 --> 22:19.720 What they see will contradict the findings of the Warren Commission. 22:19.720 --> 22:25.720 James Seibert was a supervisory special agent at Hyattsville, Maryland. 22:25.720 --> 22:33.720 When I was transferred there in 1963, James Seibert was the type of agent I wanted to be. 22:33.720 --> 22:39.720 I got on the phone and tell him I said that he had just received information from the Bureau headquarters 22:39.720 --> 22:44.720 that we were to get in the motorcade, follow the motorcade all the way up to Bethesda, 22:44.720 --> 22:48.720 where the autopsy was going to be done, witness the autopsy, 22:48.720 --> 22:53.720 and hand carry any bullets that might have been removed, the body over to the laboratory 22:53.720 --> 22:57.720 to preserve a chain of evidence. Those were our instructions. 22:57.720 --> 23:01.720 During this autopsy, we made notes. 23:01.720 --> 23:08.720 Based on these agents' testimony, when the body was unwrapped, there was no clothes. 23:08.720 --> 23:15.720 In order to do an autopsy properly, you need to be conversing with people that have the clothes, 23:15.720 --> 23:19.720 or the best is the fact that the clothes are there with the body. 23:19.720 --> 23:25.720 Had they had that information available to them, they would have been aware that the jacket 23:25.720 --> 23:31.720 and the shirt both displayed a hole about five and a half inches below the collar, 23:31.720 --> 23:40.720 a location which is also reflected on a diagram of the body subject to the autopsy by J. Thornton Boswell, 23:40.720 --> 23:46.720 who was assisting James Humes in conducting the inquiry. 23:47.720 --> 23:55.720 Also, these agents stated that at no time did the doctors at Bethesda call or touch base 23:55.720 --> 24:02.720 with the doctors at Parkland Hospital to see if there was anything they needed to know 24:02.720 --> 24:07.720 and what was done as far as trying to save Kennedy's life. 24:08.720 --> 24:17.720 These two agents basically observed a shot to the back, upper back, of Kennedy that entered the body, 24:17.720 --> 24:24.720 approximately five and a half inches below the neckline, and approximately two inches to the right of the spine. 24:24.720 --> 24:27.720 There was no entry wound to the neck. 24:27.720 --> 24:35.720 Several weeks later, the doctors in Dallas were presented with the autopsy report, 24:35.720 --> 24:40.720 which said that there was no entry wound to the throat. 24:40.720 --> 24:45.720 Actually, the autopsy doctors did not see that wound. 24:45.720 --> 24:51.720 They claimed that because the tracheotomy had been made horizontally through the wound, 24:51.720 --> 24:55.720 that they did not see any sign of an entry wound to the throat. 24:55.720 --> 25:00.720 They claimed instead that there was a shot that went through Kennedy's upper back or lower neck 25:00.720 --> 25:06.720 and that it exited through the throat, but they didn't actually see any evidence for that in the throat. 25:06.720 --> 25:15.720 They did see an entry wound in the back, but they were not able to track it more than a very short distance. 25:15.720 --> 25:20.720 In their examination, it was a shallow wound that really didn't go anywhere. 25:20.720 --> 25:27.720 This particular wound to the back never penetrated the body. 25:27.720 --> 25:34.720 In fact, upon probing the wound, the wound only went approximately two inches into the body and quit. 25:34.720 --> 25:44.720 There was enough concern about this as to whether the bullet is or why can't we find an exit wound, 25:44.720 --> 25:53.720 that Agent Jim Seibert went to the phone and called an agent in the Firearms Unit, the FBI and the lab, 25:53.720 --> 26:01.720 Agent Killian, and discussed with them the probability of an ice bullet because they had a wound with no exit 26:01.720 --> 26:05.720 and they couldn't find the bullet. 26:05.720 --> 26:13.720 Agent Killian said, I think I can solve your problem because a Secret Service agent just brought a bullet in 26:13.720 --> 26:20.720 that was found on Kennedy's stretcher at Parkland Hospital, not Connelly's stretcher. 26:20.720 --> 26:28.720 Doctors in Dallas and at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington, D.C. gave conflicting descriptions of Kennedy's wounds. 26:28.720 --> 26:34.720 Dallas doctors all reported a massive hole in the right rear portion of Kennedy's head. 26:34.720 --> 26:39.720 The Washington, D.C. doctors described the hole near the top of the head. 26:39.720 --> 26:46.720 There is an ongoing conflict between what the Dallas doctors saw and reported 26:46.720 --> 26:52.720 versus what the autopsy doctors in Bethesda, Maryland, saw and reported. 26:52.720 --> 26:58.720 In Dallas, Oswald was proclaiming his innocence at every opportunity. 26:58.720 --> 27:00.720 Oswald, did you shoot the President? 27:00.720 --> 27:02.720 I didn't shoot anybody, sir. I haven't been told what I'm here for. 27:02.720 --> 27:03.720 Do you have a lawyer? 27:03.720 --> 27:05.720 No, sir, I don't. 27:05.720 --> 27:10.720 He even claimed to be a patsy, one who has been set up to take the blame for the real culprit. 27:10.720 --> 27:11.720 Come on, man. 27:11.720 --> 27:15.720 No, they're taking me in because of the fact that I'm living in Sorey. 27:15.720 --> 27:16.720 I'm just a patsy. 27:16.720 --> 27:20.720 Here comes the President. 27:20.720 --> 27:32.720 The case would take a bizarre turn three days later when Lee Harvey Oswald was himself assassinated by a small-time hood from Chicago by the name of Jack Ruby. 27:32.720 --> 27:36.720 Officer, he's flying over. 27:36.720 --> 27:43.720 He's been shot. He's been shot. Lee Oswald has been shot. 27:43.720 --> 27:45.720 There's the man with the gun. 27:45.720 --> 27:53.720 Jack Ruby was an associate member of organized crime back in the 30s and 40s and early 50s in Chicago. 27:53.720 --> 28:04.720 Jack Ruby got involved in narcotics transactions, which were strictly forbidden by Chicago organized crime, and he was set to be hit. 28:04.720 --> 28:06.720 They were going to whack him. 28:06.720 --> 28:17.720 Somebody interceded for him, which was Eddie Vogel, and rather than kill him, they just moved him, banished him from Chicago and moved him out to Dallas through several other places. 28:17.720 --> 28:24.720 I think that he had spent some time in New Orleans, and I believe that he also spent some time in Tampa, Florida before he ended up in Dallas, Texas. 28:24.720 --> 28:30.720 Prior to the assassination, Ruby, I wouldn't by no means call him a mafia boss. 28:30.720 --> 28:39.720 I wouldn't maybe put him in the top five in the Dallas mob hierarchy, but he was definitely a mid-level significant mobster. 28:39.720 --> 28:44.720 He's a frequent associate of Joe Savillo, the mafia boss of Dallas. 28:44.720 --> 28:50.720 He's close contact of Joe Campese, the mafia underboss of Dallas. 28:50.720 --> 28:54.720 Witnesses describe him running a string of gambling operations. 28:54.720 --> 28:58.720 To do gambling in Dallas, you had to get it cleared through Jack Ruby. 28:58.720 --> 29:08.720 There's a witness, an FBI report from 1956, among many others, that describes Ruby as a significant figure in narcotics operations. 29:08.720 --> 29:12.720 Again, you had to run a narcotics operation in this case. 29:12.720 --> 29:15.720 They had to clear it with Jack Ruby. 29:15.720 --> 29:19.720 This witness was re-interviewed after the assassination events. 29:19.720 --> 29:23.720 She confirmed, yes, no question, that was Jack Ruby. 29:26.720 --> 29:33.720 The first clue to the mob's involvement in the Kennedy assassination is Jack Ruby's phone records. 29:33.720 --> 29:38.720 You look through his phone records, and this is something I did and the House Select Committee did, 29:38.720 --> 29:48.720 and you find many, many matches between his phone calls in 1963 and notorious mob figures around the country. 29:48.720 --> 29:52.720 What's interesting is you look at the rate of his out-of-state calls. 29:52.720 --> 29:56.720 In January 1963, it's a very low rate. 29:56.720 --> 30:04.720 You come up to the week before the assassination, and the rate is 25-fold what it was in January. 30:04.720 --> 30:10.720 And then, when we get to the final days before the assassination, no telephone calls. 30:10.720 --> 30:16.720 All of a sudden, people are coming in and meeting Jack Ruby in Dallas. 30:16.720 --> 30:22.720 The night before the assassination, Ruby saw Joe Campisi. 30:22.720 --> 30:27.720 After Ruby shoots Oswald and gets in jail, who visits him? 30:27.720 --> 30:36.720 On November 30th, according to police records, again, Joe Campisi, mafia underboss of Dallas, comes to visit Jack Ruby in jail. 30:36.720 --> 30:42.720 Jack Ruby gave clear clues to his role in the assassination when he was interviewed on camera. 30:42.720 --> 30:48.720 The world will never know the true facts of what occurred, my motives. 30:48.720 --> 31:00.720 The people that had so much to gain and had such a material motive for putting me in a position I'm in 31:00.720 --> 31:08.720 will never let the true facts come aboard to the world. 31:08.720 --> 31:11.720 Now, these people are in a very high position, yeah. 31:11.720 --> 31:12.720 Yes. 31:12.720 --> 31:20.720 Jack Ruby said he would reveal the true story of the Kennedy assassination if he was moved from Dallas to Washington, D.C. for protection. 31:20.720 --> 31:24.720 Ruby feared for his life if he testified in Dallas. 31:24.720 --> 31:30.720 But no transfer to Washington, D.C. was ever authorized by federal authorities. 31:30.720 --> 31:32.720 Sir, I'd like to make a statement about the hearing. 31:32.720 --> 31:35.720 I want to correct that I swear to be fair, he was vice president, remember I said? 31:35.720 --> 31:37.720 He was vice president? 31:37.720 --> 31:41.720 Yes, I did when I mentioned about Adelaide Stevens, because he was vice president. 31:41.720 --> 31:43.720 There had never been an assassination of that beloved president. 31:43.720 --> 31:45.720 Yes, but you're a student, Joe. 31:45.720 --> 31:48.720 Well, the answer is the man in office now. 31:51.720 --> 31:59.720 Within a week of the assassination, Lyndon Johnson had appointed a commission to investigate the death of his predecessor, 31:59.720 --> 32:04.720 which was chaired by the Chief Justice of the United States, Earl Warren. 32:04.720 --> 32:12.720 The investigative responsibilities of the commission, however, would be delegated to the FBI, which was very successful in covering it up. 32:12.720 --> 32:22.720 In this document, drafted on November 22nd, Dallas police inform FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover of other suspects in the assassination. 32:22.720 --> 32:27.720 Hoover dismisses the information prior to Oswald's even being charged. 32:27.720 --> 32:32.720 Clearly, minds have been made up hours after the event. 32:32.720 --> 32:39.720 There was an editing process that Hoover went through where affidavits of individuals were altered, things of this nature. 32:39.720 --> 32:43.720 There was a lady who worked in the depository who in her original affidavit, 32:43.720 --> 32:52.720 she stated that she had seen Oswald as late as I believe 1225 or later in the second floor lunchroom in the depository. 32:52.720 --> 32:55.720 This is just five minutes before the, well actually according to the public schedule, 32:55.720 --> 32:59.720 1225 was when the President's Motto Key was supposed to be coming by the depository. 32:59.720 --> 33:04.720 Yet in her final affidavit, the one that became public and so on at the time, 33:04.720 --> 33:08.720 stated that she had seen Oswald at 1215 or later. 33:08.720 --> 33:20.720 And I think there were other individuals who later stated that the things that they said were not what appeared in the final affidavit. 33:20.720 --> 33:23.720 From the outset, let's say they couldn't get cooperation from Hoover, 33:23.720 --> 33:27.720 and that's why they had to make the demand for raw data on December 16th, 1963. 33:27.720 --> 33:29.720 And they, like everybody else, they were insiders. 33:29.720 --> 33:31.720 Imagine yourself in their situation. 33:31.720 --> 33:33.720 Here they've been appointed by the President to look into this thing, 33:33.720 --> 33:38.720 and they've been told by the President, the man who's in charge of this is J. Edgar Hoover, 33:38.720 --> 33:41.720 and to look to the data, and he won't give them the data. 33:41.720 --> 33:45.720 I mean in the same context, in the same time period, the President is making public statements, 33:45.720 --> 33:48.720 strongly endorsing J. Edgar Hoover. 33:48.720 --> 33:53.720 As the Commission began their work, they faced several major problems. 33:53.720 --> 33:57.720 The rifle found in the book depository was not a high-velocity weapon, 33:57.720 --> 34:03.720 and the Army Ballistics Test Center reported three metal shims had to be placed under its telescopic sight 34:03.720 --> 34:06.720 to make it accurate enough just to test. 34:06.720 --> 34:11.720 FBI experts knew that Oswald's rifle could only fire every two seconds, 34:11.720 --> 34:17.720 and films of the assassination indicated the entire shooting took place in only six seconds. 34:18.720 --> 34:23.720 Three shots were all that was allowable for one assassin, and that was pushing time limit. 34:24.720 --> 34:30.720 A week after the assassination, the FBI had concluded that Kennedy had been struck by two bullets, 34:30.720 --> 34:33.720 and Texas Governor John Connolly III. 34:34.720 --> 34:42.720 The autopsy report from Bethesda Naval Hospital would maintain that the shot that hit the President in the back 34:42.720 --> 34:49.720 had exited his throat and gone on to damage Governor Connolly. 34:49.720 --> 34:55.720 An hypothesis that became increasingly important, even crucial to the Commission's findings, 34:55.720 --> 35:04.720 when it turned out that a distant bystander, James Tague, had been injured by a shot that had missed altogether. 35:04.720 --> 35:09.720 This placed the government in the awkward position of accounting for all of these wounds 35:09.720 --> 35:13.720 on the basis of only two bullets. 35:13.720 --> 35:22.720 The physicians at Parkland, moreover, and many other witnesses, had observed a massive blowout to the back of the head, 35:22.720 --> 35:33.720 so great that, in fact, brain tissue in large quantity was hanging out of the skull of the President. 35:34.720 --> 35:40.720 They got this sheet unwrapped off the head. There was a big gapping hole in the right rear of the head back here, 35:40.720 --> 35:48.720 but a callip part, and he said, in apparent surgery of the head, in the head area. 35:49.720 --> 35:51.720 So we made notes of this. 35:52.720 --> 35:59.720 They also observed a small wound to the throat, through which a tracheostomy was performed in a vain attempt 35:59.720 --> 36:03.720 to assist the President in saving his life. 36:04.720 --> 36:11.720 That afternoon, the physician who had performed that tracheostomy, Malcolm Perry, at 316, 36:11.720 --> 36:17.720 told reporters that the President had been shot in the throat from in front, 36:18.720 --> 36:23.720 an observation he had made personally, and which he repeated three times. 36:24.720 --> 36:33.720 Subsequently, in order to affect the government's official position supported by the evidence, 36:33.720 --> 36:41.720 Gerald Ford had the description of the wound to the back, which actually had entered five and a half inches below the collar, 36:41.720 --> 36:45.720 changed to describe it as having entered at the base of the back of the neck. 36:45.720 --> 36:52.720 He admitted this when the AARB people contacted him out in Vail, Colorado, by phone. 36:52.720 --> 36:55.720 He admitted that he had made this change. 36:59.720 --> 37:07.720 If you would believe these two agents, and believe their testimony in their report, they do two things. 37:07.720 --> 37:11.720 If you would believe their testimony in their report, they do two things. 37:12.720 --> 37:18.720 Number one is they guarantee you and show you right there that there's a cover-up, 37:18.720 --> 37:23.720 because they see totally opposite of what the Warren Commission puts down in their final report. 37:24.720 --> 37:31.720 Number two, you take the back wound that never exited the body, definitely didn't enter the neck and come out of the neck, 37:31.720 --> 37:36.720 you take away the magic bullet. If you take away the magic bullet, you have four shots. 37:36.720 --> 37:40.720 So basically, they prove a conspiracy because they prove there's a full shot, 37:40.720 --> 37:47.720 and they prove there was a cover-up because they saw totally opposite or different things than the Warren Commission puts in their report. 37:48.720 --> 37:55.720 Specter said, Cybert said he didn't make any notes, and he said O'Neill made just a few and destroyed them. 37:56.720 --> 38:00.720 And when I read that, I could feel the heat coming up on the back of my neck, 38:00.720 --> 38:05.720 and I made the statement, and it's in the record, in the archives, that's a false statement. 38:10.720 --> 38:17.720 What is so interesting about these two agents' testimony is, number one, they wrote a report. 38:18.720 --> 38:23.720 The only people in that room that wrote a report, they can tell you, every person that came in and out of that room, 38:23.720 --> 38:27.720 what happened. Both agents are talking centimeters and millimeters, 38:28.720 --> 38:33.720 and if you don't take notes, you can't possibly remember centimeters and millimeters. 38:34.720 --> 38:40.720 And this report was given to headquarters, FBI headquarters, on Tuesday, the day after the funeral. 38:42.720 --> 38:49.720 There is no doubt, completely no doubt, that J. Edgar Hoover read this report. 38:49.720 --> 38:55.720 Number one, he had to. I mean, in the interest of the death of a president of the United States, 38:55.720 --> 38:58.720 you know the director of the FBI is going to read the report. 38:59.720 --> 39:07.720 But I have confirmation of the fact that he did, because Tuesday to Thursday or Friday, 39:08.720 --> 39:13.720 he has a conversation with President Johnson and quotes the report, 39:14.720 --> 39:20.720 as far as where the bullets were fired from or where they hit the body, 39:21.720 --> 39:26.720 and comments in that conversation, you could tell he read that report. 39:43.720 --> 39:47.720 This official story would later change to accommodate the single bullet theory. 40:04.720 --> 40:08.720 Well, the interesting thing about that, you have two agents, his agents, 40:08.720 --> 40:14.720 president and autopsy of the death of a president, and they don't testify before the Warren Commission. 40:15.720 --> 40:19.720 That is strange. Why? They travel all over the country, 40:20.720 --> 40:23.720 they try to grab every witness and daily plaza, the ones they want to hear, 40:24.720 --> 40:26.720 and disregard the ones they don't want to hear, 40:27.720 --> 40:32.720 but you have two federal officers, federal agents, that don't testify before that Warren Commission. 40:33.720 --> 40:35.720 It's a very strange situation. 40:35.720 --> 40:38.720 They have two agents that don't testify before that Warren Commission. 40:39.720 --> 40:44.720 It's plain and simple. They didn't want to talk to him because they saw something totally different than what they wanted to hear. 40:46.720 --> 40:51.720 Once they arrived at the conclusion, and that was done already the day of the death, 40:52.720 --> 40:56.720 the day of the autopsy that Lee Harvey Oswald was the sole assassin, then everything had to fit. 40:57.720 --> 41:01.720 That all the shots had to come from back to front, from right to left, and from up downward. 41:01.720 --> 41:05.720 And no matter what they had found, it was going to be squeezed in. 41:06.720 --> 41:10.720 That's what gave birth to the single bullet theory, 41:11.720 --> 41:16.720 which has been attributed primarily to Arlen Spector, now US Senator from Pennsylvania, 41:17.720 --> 41:21.720 but which was then seized upon by everybody because they had to grab, 41:22.720 --> 41:26.720 as a drowning man floundering in a sea with tempestuous storms, 41:27.720 --> 41:30.720 they've got to grab at something to survive. They already had everything in place. 41:31.720 --> 41:37.720 And they put this together. Well, they come up with the theory that the bullet that hit John Kennedy in the back, 41:38.720 --> 41:40.720 and it's now new upward revised the location, 41:41.720 --> 41:45.720 course through his upper chest, base of the neck area, 41:46.720 --> 41:52.720 emerged from the level of the knot of the tie, which is where the hole was that the pathologist had missed on the night of the autopsy, 41:53.720 --> 41:57.720 and then re-entered John Connolly's back, pierced his right lung, 41:57.720 --> 42:01.720 fractured the right fifth rib, destroying four inches of that bone, 42:02.720 --> 42:07.720 exited from the front of John Connolly's right chest, re-entered the back of John Connolly's right wrist, 42:08.720 --> 42:11.720 led to a comminuted or shattered fracture of the distal end of the radius, 42:12.720 --> 42:14.720 a very dense heavy bone in a six foot four guy like John Connolly, 42:15.720 --> 42:21.720 severed almost completely the radial nerve, which is the nerve that permits the thumb to hold something in that position with the fingers, 42:21.720 --> 42:26.720 exited from the front of the governor's right wrist, re-entered the governor's left thigh, 42:27.720 --> 42:32.720 went down, struck the femur, the large bone from the hip to the knee, bounced back out, 42:33.720 --> 42:37.720 came out through the same small hole, a quarter of an inch or so in diameter in the skin, 42:38.720 --> 42:40.720 and then from his clothing on to a stretcher. 42:41.720 --> 42:43.720 And you see that is the single bullet theory. 42:44.720 --> 42:49.720 That stretcher bullet, commission exhibit 399, that we critics refer to as the magic bullet, 42:49.720 --> 42:53.720 that is the hero of the Warren Commission report, that is the sinequinon, 42:54.720 --> 42:59.720 that is the linchpin the keystone, without the single bullet theory you cannot have a soul assassin. 43:00.720 --> 43:06.720 My favorite picture of all the pictures, of all the pictures, and it's one for which I take no credit, 43:07.720 --> 43:10.720 but it's the one that if I had to give up every single thing, including the Zapruder film, 43:11.720 --> 43:15.720 this is the one thing that I would hold on to that totally destroys them, 43:15.720 --> 43:19.720 and that is the pictures, it's a composite which they made, 43:20.720 --> 43:23.720 and to this day I bet you they'd give anything not to have made that composite. 43:24.720 --> 43:27.720 It shows sample bullets fired into cotton wadding, 43:28.720 --> 43:31.720 it shows a sample bullet fired through a goat carcass breaking one rib, 43:32.720 --> 43:35.720 and it shows a sample bullet fired through a human cadaver breaking a radius. 43:36.720 --> 43:42.720 No bullet, they had no bullets that broke both bones, as they claim the single bullet 399 did. 43:42.720 --> 43:48.720 Well, when you look at the composite, the ballgame's over, let's go home, the case is over, close up shop, 43:49.720 --> 43:55.720 the judge has just dismissed the case, because the prosecution is giving us this evidence that shows that it can't be done. 43:56.720 --> 43:58.720 There is the stretcher bullet in all of its pristine grandeur, 43:59.720 --> 44:04.720 the bullets fired into cotton wadding have just as much deformity at the base, that's just from firing. 44:05.720 --> 44:08.720 A bullet fired through a goat carcass rib shows significant deformity, 44:08.720 --> 44:12.720 and a bullet fired through the radius of a human cadaver, forget about it, 44:13.720 --> 44:17.720 they have mushrooming peeling back effect, in fact some of the bullets fragmented, 44:18.720 --> 44:22.720 they don't forget they took the bullets that in their minds and eyes were the least damaged, 44:23.720 --> 44:26.720 and that is their experiment, which shows that it can't be done. 44:27.720 --> 44:33.720 Here are bullet fragments taken from Governor Connolly's body during his surgery following the JFK assassination. 44:33.720 --> 44:38.720 It is interesting to note that there are more fragments here than missing from the commission's bullet, 44:39.720 --> 44:43.720 as can be seen in this x-ray of Governor Connolly's broken wrist, 44:44.720 --> 44:50.720 there were more metal fragments still in his body than are missing from the slug the commission claimed caused the wound. 44:51.720 --> 44:55.720 This is also supposed to be the same bullet that passed through President Kennedy's neck, 44:56.720 --> 44:58.720 as depicted in this Warren Commission drawing, 44:58.720 --> 45:02.720 but the problem remained that no bullet ever passed through Kennedy's neck, 45:03.720 --> 45:07.720 the bullet that struck him from behind struck below the shoulder blades to the right of the backbone, 45:08.720 --> 45:12.720 this is clear from the bullet hole in both Kennedy's bloody shirt and jacket, 45:13.720 --> 45:15.720 and is shown in this official autopsy diagram. 45:16.720 --> 45:24.720 The original autopsy diagram was marked verified and signed by Kennedy's own personal physician, Dr. George Berkeley, 45:24.720 --> 45:28.720 yet when published for the public, Berkeley's notation was deleted. 45:29.720 --> 45:33.720 Was the Warren Commission unaware of this discrepancy in the location of the back wound? 45:34.720 --> 45:40.720 Not according to this page from transcripts of the commission's meeting held on January 27th, 1964. 45:41.720 --> 45:44.720 Chief Consul J. Lee Rankin himself stated, 45:45.720 --> 45:50.720 it was apparent that the wound was below the shoulder blades, well below the level of Kennedy's throat wound, 45:50.720 --> 45:56.720 he started to ask how it could turn in midair and move downward to strike Governor Connolly, but stopped. 45:57.720 --> 46:02.720 Realizing this clear evidence disproving their single bullet theory was going on the public record. 46:03.720 --> 46:10.720 In this April 10th, 1964 memorandum regarding Oswald's background from a commission attorney to Rankin, 46:11.720 --> 46:15.720 it is stated that there are details that will require quote, material alteration, 46:15.720 --> 46:18.720 and in some instances, omission. 46:19.720 --> 46:24.720 We can see that the Warren Commission knowingly omitted and altered vital evidence in the case, 46:25.720 --> 46:29.720 but what about the FBI, which was the primary investigative agency? 46:30.720 --> 46:37.720 I was able to come across a lab report dated November 23rd, 1963. 46:37.720 --> 46:42.720 All the evidence that was gathered during the afternoon of November 22nd, 46:43.720 --> 46:49.720 gathered by the Dallas Police Department was turned over to Special Agent Vincent Drain of the FBI in Dallas. 46:50.720 --> 46:53.720 He personally flew this evidence to the FBI lab. 46:54.720 --> 47:03.720 The FBI lab conducted their test, wrote their report, and returned the evidence on the same day, November 23rd, 1963. 47:03.720 --> 47:11.720 There were two spent shell casings given to the FBI from the Dallas Police Department, not three. 47:13.720 --> 47:20.720 There was no prints found on the rifle that supposedly Oswald fired. 47:21.720 --> 47:28.720 On the inner part of the rifle, anywhere on the outside of the rifle, or even the clip, or the casings, 47:28.720 --> 47:31.720 or the bullet that was found in the rifle. 47:32.720 --> 47:38.720 There was no evidence to show that the brown paper the Warren Commission says he carried the rifle in that day. 47:39.720 --> 47:43.720 The lab did not find that the indentations of the folding wrapping paper matched the rifle, 47:44.720 --> 47:48.720 and they did not mention of any kind of oil on the paper that would have came from the rifle. 47:50.720 --> 47:53.720 This evidence was returned to Dallas. 47:53.720 --> 47:59.720 This evidence was returned to Dallas on the afternoon or night of November 23rd, 1963, 48:00.720 --> 48:06.720 and it just so happens that on Monday the fingerprints are found on the rifle. 48:08.720 --> 48:12.720 And also, I think it was Monday or Tuesday is when the third casing shows up, 48:13.720 --> 48:17.720 that just so happened to be in the pocket of one of the police officers on the search. 48:17.720 --> 48:24.720 Government documents show the assassination rifle was shipped back to Dallas on Sunday, November 24th, 1963, 48:25.720 --> 48:31.720 and that an FBI team spent a long time in the mortuary with Oswald's body the next day. 48:32.720 --> 48:40.720 Paul Groody, the funeral home director, said years later that he was there when the FBI put that rifle in Oswald's dead hand. 48:40.720 --> 48:45.720 I had trouble getting the fingerprint ink off his hands in time for the burial, he said. 48:46.720 --> 48:52.720 Yet a blurry palm print, belatedly produced by a Dallas police officer and identified as belonging to Oswald, 48:53.720 --> 48:56.720 was instrumental in convincing the public of his guilt. 48:57.720 --> 49:01.720 Other seemingly strong evidence against Oswald fell apart under closer study. 49:02.720 --> 49:07.720 This Dallas police evidence sheet shows only two of Oswald's fingerprints. 49:07.720 --> 49:13.720 The Dallas police evidence sheet shows only two fired cartridges were recovered in the book depository. 49:14.720 --> 49:17.720 Days later, a third cartridge conveniently turned up. 49:18.720 --> 49:23.720 The bottom of the evidence sheet carries a line showing a paraffin test on Oswald, 49:24.720 --> 49:31.720 indicating no gunpowder on his hands or face, only nitrates on his hands, which could have come from any number of sources. 49:31.720 --> 49:37.720 Yet this evidence supporting Oswald's innocence was deleted from the sheet as presented by the Warren Commission. 49:38.720 --> 49:44.720 Such mismanagement of evidence could not have been accomplished by Fidel Castro or the Soviets for that matter. 49:45.720 --> 49:50.720 Only powerful forces within the federal government could have accomplished such acts of deception. 49:51.720 --> 49:56.720 The Warren Commission heard testimony that tied Oswald even closer to the FBI. 49:56.720 --> 50:02.720 Texas authorities told the Commission they had developed evidence that Oswald was working as an informant for the Bureau. 50:03.720 --> 50:08.720 They gave his informant number, T179, and said he was being paid $200 a month. 50:09.720 --> 50:12.720 The Warren Commission declined to accept this information, 50:13.720 --> 50:18.720 although it may have explained reports of Oswald's cashing checks and money orders close to that amount. 50:19.720 --> 50:24.720 In January of 1964, at the Warren Commission executive session meetings, 50:25.720 --> 50:32.720 they were openly stating the fears that we have a situation here where Hoover is essentially telling us to pack up and go home, 50:33.720 --> 50:36.720 and just issue a statement agreeing with him that it was just a lone nut. 50:37.720 --> 50:45.720 By February of 1964, following a barrage of condemnation in the mass media, the whole nation was convinced of Oswald's guilt. 50:45.720 --> 50:52.720 Talk of conspiracy faded in every quarter except within the private conversations of Warren Commission members. 50:53.720 --> 50:58.720 By all accounts, the Warren Commission met behind closed doors, heard secret testimony, 50:59.720 --> 51:06.720 and rushed aside any evidence which did not support their predetermined verdict that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin. 51:07.720 --> 51:13.640 Three of the commissioners, Cooper, Boggs, and Russell, all later reversed themselves and voided the 51:13.640 --> 51:20.640 All later reversed themselves and voiced doubts about the commission's conclusion that Oswald had committed the assassination alone. 51:21.640 --> 51:28.640 The most shocking and disappointing aspect of the case was the lack of thoroughness and completeness of what the Warren Commission had done. 51:29.640 --> 51:35.640 It's mandated to tell the truth to the American people. When our government investigates, I cherish our government. 51:36.640 --> 51:39.640 I'm a believer in our system and I spent my career supporting our system. 51:39.640 --> 51:46.640 And as someone who served in the government, both as an assistant district attorney and as a mayor of a city and a city council, 51:47.640 --> 51:53.640 it's incumbent upon representatives of the people to tell the people the truth. And the Warren Commission didn't do that. 51:54.640 --> 51:55.640 And that to me is terribly regrettable. 51:56.640 --> 51:59.640 The Warren Commission's report became the official government version. 52:00.640 --> 52:05.640 But it is not the only investigation that took place regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy. 52:05.640 --> 52:12.640 In fact, the idea of multiple assassins became the last official position of the federal government in 1979, 52:13.640 --> 52:19.640 when the House Select Committee on Assassinations announced that on the basis of two separate reports from acoustical scientists, 52:20.640 --> 52:24.640 at least two gunmen were involved and therefore, quote, 52:25.640 --> 52:30.640 President John F. Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy, unquote. 52:30.640 --> 52:37.640 The committee's conclusion added official weight to the many writers and researchers who for years had been claiming a conspiracy. 52:38.640 --> 52:44.640 Most Americans don't realize that the last official verdict of the U.S. government was one of conspiracy. 52:45.640 --> 52:51.640 An example of evidence pointing toward conspiracy is the account of Lieutenant Colonel Marvin, 52:52.640 --> 52:56.640 who claims he was asked by the CIA to kill Navy officer William Bruce Pitzer. 52:56.640 --> 53:01.640 Pitzer was present at Kennedy's autopsy and responsible for making films and photographs. 53:02.640 --> 53:07.640 There is evidence that Pitzer kept copies for himself, which he refused to release. 53:08.640 --> 53:14.640 First of all, I was called up to Colonel C.W. Patton's office. He was my commanding officer of the Sixth Special Forces Group. 53:15.640 --> 53:19.640 And I went up and he said, there's a company man waiting to meet you out under the pines. 53:20.640 --> 53:22.640 And there was one other officer there, too. 53:23.640 --> 53:27.640 So we both walked towards the CIA officer from Colonel Patton's office. 53:28.640 --> 53:33.640 And when we got so close to him, I went ahead and the other fellow stayed back. 53:34.640 --> 53:40.640 And he had with him a piece of paper and he handed it to me and it had a name on it, William Bruce Pitzer. 53:41.640 --> 53:46.640 And he said, this man has got secrets that he's going to give to the enemy. 53:47.640 --> 53:50.640 And we'd like to have him taken care of. Would you like to do it? 53:50.640 --> 53:52.640 I said, I'd like to do it. And I said, certainly. 53:53.640 --> 53:56.640 And I said, well, where is he located? Because I was on orders to go to Vietnam. 53:57.640 --> 54:01.640 So I assumed it was someplace outside the United States, because that's what we're told we'd do. 54:02.640 --> 54:05.640 And he said it was in Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland. 54:06.640 --> 54:09.640 And I said, I can't do that. I said, I've got a wife and three children. 54:10.640 --> 54:17.640 I can't just all of a sudden disappear here in the United States like I'd have to in order for me to take care of that mission. 54:17.640 --> 54:23.640 And he said, you mean you refused to do it? And I said, yes. But I said, you understand why. 54:24.640 --> 54:29.640 I said, you know what we were taught. And so he just dismissed me. 54:30.640 --> 54:34.640 However, a year later, Pitzer was found in his office with a bullet in his head. 54:35.640 --> 54:37.640 And his death was quickly ruled a suicide. 54:37.640 --> 54:47.640 Then in 1993, they had a 30-year anniversary of JFK's assassination special. 54:48.640 --> 55:01.640 I was watching that program, and at the end of the program, they rolled a list of 42 names of men who had been involved one way or another in the assassination or its aftermath. 55:01.640 --> 55:07.640 And one of the names was Lieutenant Commander William Bruce Pitzer. And I about fell out of my chair. 55:08.640 --> 55:14.640 I got goosebumps all over me. And I said, he wasn't selling secrets to the enemy. He was doing something else. 55:15.640 --> 55:22.640 So I immediately set about, and with the help of a friend of mine, I located his widow, who still lived in Maryland. 55:23.640 --> 55:31.640 And I talked to her on the phone twice, recorded both times, and told her that I had been asked to kill her husband and why. 55:32.640 --> 55:41.640 And she told me that he had the actual photographs of the Kennedy autopsy, both film and slides. 55:41.640 --> 55:53.640 And that she had been told by four different Navy intelligence officers to not talk to anybody, not even family, about her husband's death. 56:11.640 --> 56:16.640 I am a monster. That is correct. But that does not mean however I am a communist. 56:17.640 --> 56:34.640 A new witness, Judith Verry Baker, has emerged in the case. Baker contends that she enjoyed a relationship with Oswald that went beyond a passing friendship, and she can shed light into the dark corners of Oswald's activities, especially those in New Orleans during the summer of 1963. 56:34.640 --> 56:48.640 Lee never in a million years was a real communist or a defector, a real defector. All of this, as most people should know by now, all of this was part of his dream to be a double agent, a secret agent. 56:49.640 --> 56:56.640 A bright young man, Oswald's background was no more different than many other Americans in the 1950s until he entered the Marine Corps. 56:57.640 --> 57:06.640 While serving in Japan at the CIA's largest Asian base, Oswald was recruited into U.S. intelligence, according to several fellow Marines. 57:07.640 --> 57:24.640 A former CIA finance officer, James Wilcott, testified to the House Select Committee on Assassinations that based on his experiences in the Orient, including conversations with other CIA men, he believed that Oswald had worked for the agency while in Japan. 57:24.640 --> 57:41.640 Items found in Oswald's possession following the assassination also indicated intelligence work. His notebook mentioned microdots, a widespread spy technique for photographically reducing information to a small dot that can be hidden in mail or books. 57:41.640 --> 57:56.640 In light of Oswald's known interest in photography, his ownership of such a camera is not too unusual. However, it was determined that his camera carried a five-digit serial number which did not exist among the Minox cameras distributed for commercial sale. 57:56.640 --> 58:10.640 Minox officials declared Oswald's camera carried an unregistered number indicating it must have been issued by some government agency. If Oswald was not doing intelligence work, why did he possess a spy camera? 58:11.640 --> 58:16.640 All this supports Judith Baker's claims that Oswald aspired to become a double agent. 58:17.640 --> 58:33.640 He said, you know, when I was in New York, I saw I Led Three Lives and it changed my life. And then he told me all about how he had seen this program with Herbert Philbrick and that he had been a double agent. Okay. And this inspired him incredibly. 58:33.640 --> 58:50.640 In 1976, a CIA document surfaced stating that the agency considered Oswald for recruitment. This contradicted the sworn Warren Commission testimony of CIA official Richard Helms who stated the agency had never even contemplated any contact with Oswald. 58:50.640 --> 59:03.640 This document written by an unidentified CIA officer three days after Kennedy's assassination states, we showed intelligence interest in Oswald and quote, discussed the laying on of interviews. 59:04.640 --> 59:17.640 A CIA 201 file on Oswald was discovered only in 1977. The existence of this file came to light after a Freedom of Information Act request was pressed by assassination researchers. 59:17.640 --> 59:29.640 At least three former CIA officers have stated publicly that the mere existence of a 201 or personnel file on Oswald indicated a relationship between the ex-Marine and the agency. 59:30.640 --> 59:46.640 The following quotation written by respected military historian Dr. John Newman clarifies Oswald's relationship with the CIA. Quote, within the labyrinth of Oswald's intelligence files at CIA headquarters is a set of papers which together have been published by the CIA. 59:47.640 --> 59:55.640 These papers demonstrate that the agency had a keen operational interest in Oswald's activities during the eight weeks before the murder of President Kennedy. 59:56.640 --> 01:00:08.640 Newly released documents prove that the CIA was spinning a false yarn about Oswald before the assassination. The accused assassin of the president had been involved in very sensitive CIA operations. 01:00:09.640 --> 01:00:14.640 The CIA has doggedly withheld some of these details from public view. Unquote. 01:00:14.640 --> 01:00:25.640 If Oswald was working as a government agent, as the evidence indicates and his mother has always claimed, what was he up to? What was he doing on behalf of his intelligence handlers? 01:00:26.640 --> 01:00:34.640 Considered a whiz kid while she was still in grade school, Judith Vary Baker soon found herself in the shattery world of military and intelligence services. 01:00:35.640 --> 01:00:51.640 I can't prove the kind of things we were doing there, but I do know that for example I was working on a blood sedimentation project and the purpose of it was if you injected live cancer cells into someone and applied this test to it, it would show whether or not the cells took. 01:00:52.640 --> 01:01:03.640 Now that's kind of serious stuff. Why in the world would you want to have such a material developed or such a test developed and for what would it be used? 01:01:04.640 --> 01:01:20.640 I have researched an entire collection of newspaper articles which were written about her back when she was still a high school student and somewhat of a superstar because they were all expecting her to go out and find a cure for cancer. 01:01:20.640 --> 01:01:37.640 And I know that these documents are real. I've looked at the microfilm from the publication that they were published in and there's no doubt in my mind that this woman is the same person I saw in the photographs and the articles were about. 01:01:38.640 --> 01:01:48.640 It is interesting to note that she was trained at a very early age for a very high level of laboratory work in terms of handling cancer causing viruses. 01:01:49.640 --> 01:01:57.640 Dr. Alton Oshner, head of the American Cancer Society, recruited Judith to work in Oshner's cancer lab in New Orleans, Louisiana. 01:01:58.640 --> 01:02:06.640 Oshner was a militant anti-communist and the secret project Judith was required for was the assassination of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. 01:02:07.640 --> 01:02:13.640 While working for Oshner, Baker met Lee Harvey Oswald and soon a relationship developed between them. 01:02:13.640 --> 01:02:23.640 As Lee and I talked, I learned a lot of things about him and about me. He told me I haven't been able to find anyone within light years with the same kind of interest as me, so many of them. 01:02:24.640 --> 01:02:29.640 I couldn't get my eyes off of him either. There was an attraction that was electric between us. 01:02:30.640 --> 01:02:53.640 Her claim concerning knowing Lee Harvey Oswald, she has a number of original documents in her possession which show that she worked at the same company that Lee Oswald worked at, which was the Riley Coffee Company, that she started on the same day he started on, that she left the company on the same day that he left. 01:02:54.640 --> 01:03:06.640 And I think that is a pretty good collection of documents to support her claim that she knew Lee Harvey Oswald in New Orleans in the summer of 1963. 01:03:06.640 --> 01:03:25.640 Lee Harvey Oswald brought Judith into contact with a string of unsavory characters in New Orleans. One of them, Guy Banister, the former head of the Chicago FBI office, was involved with dealing arms to anti-Castro Cubans from his New Orleans detective agency. 01:03:26.640 --> 01:03:34.640 An associate of Banister's was David Ferry, described by New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison as, quote, one of history's most interesting individuals. 01:03:35.640 --> 01:03:43.640 Ferry was a brilliant eccentric, easily recognized by the wigs and painted eyebrows he used due to an unusual disease that left him hairless and bald. 01:03:44.640 --> 01:03:47.640 Ferry also was working in cancer research. 01:03:48.640 --> 01:04:01.640 A laboratory was discovered by the investigative team working for District Attorney Jim Garrison during his investigation into the Kennedy assassination. 01:04:02.640 --> 01:04:19.640 And this was an underground medical laboratory, which was reportedly using cancer-causing viruses to create cancer, located on Louisiana Avenue Parkway in the apartment of a man named David Ferry. 01:04:20.640 --> 01:04:32.640 David Ferry had definitely penetrated into a ring that was serious, and all of his connections with the mob and everything were quite secure. However, he was our man. He was our man in the government. 01:04:33.640 --> 01:04:36.640 But Judith soon learned there was a dark and sinister side to this research. 01:04:37.640 --> 01:04:44.640 I was given more information at this time on the kind of projects that they were thinking about to get rid of Castro, and there were numbers of ideas going around. 01:04:45.640 --> 01:04:54.640 But the one that Osner was interested in, it was in his field. He was the expert par salons. He was the number one expert probably in the world on lung cancer. 01:04:55.640 --> 01:04:58.640 He'd already seen how the polio virus could kill someone. 01:04:59.640 --> 01:05:14.640 One of his ideas is that if we could just piggyback in on the SV40 virus lung cancer, if we could give the cigar-smoking Castro lung cancer, and he could die quickly, and he had some evidence that we could do this with what's called galloping cancer. 01:05:15.640 --> 01:05:20.640 Judith's boss, Dr. Osner, was closely tied with the CIA Associated Group, INCA. 01:05:21.640 --> 01:05:28.640 INCA was an organization called the Information Council for the Americas. 01:05:29.640 --> 01:05:42.640 This was essentially an anti-communist propaganda operation out of New Orleans where they shipped tapes, anti-communist tapes, to radio stations all throughout Latin America. 01:05:43.640 --> 01:05:55.640 INCA was founded by Dr. Alton Osner, who was also the president of the International House and an important member of the trade community in New Orleans. 01:05:56.640 --> 01:06:04.640 And the financing for INCA came primarily from Dr. Osner and from the business community of New Orleans. 01:06:05.640 --> 01:06:14.640 One of the most important people on the list was the owner of WDSU Radio and the owner of WDSU Television. 01:06:15.640 --> 01:06:28.640 This is important because these are the stations, the radio stations, that hosted the Oswald debates, and they were the stations that sent out the cameras to videotape Oswald handing out his leaflets. 01:06:29.640 --> 01:06:39.640 So there is an involvement with Osner, with INCA, and with Oswald going on in New Orleans in the summer of 1963. 01:06:40.640 --> 01:06:51.640 And we have a record album, which was produced and released by Dr. Alton Osner concerning the radio debates involving Lee Harvey Oswald. 01:06:52.640 --> 01:07:05.640 And on the back of this record album is a photograph of Dr. Alton Osner where it points out that he was one of the few people in the listening audience who knew about Oswald's defection to the Soviet Union before the debate. 01:07:06.640 --> 01:07:14.640 Now I want to ask the question directly. This man was the president of the American Cancer Society. 01:07:15.640 --> 01:07:22.640 What is the president of the American Cancer Society doing getting tangled up with Lee Harvey Oswald? 01:07:23.640 --> 01:07:30.640 As a cover for their cancer research, both Judith and Lee Harvey Oswald were given work at a New Orleans coffee company. 01:07:31.640 --> 01:07:37.640 They had someone over at William B. Reilly Company, which was a member of INCA, and they were all good friends. 01:07:38.640 --> 01:07:45.640 The whole Reilly family was with Dr. Osner and Butler and all these people. They were all working together. 01:07:46.640 --> 01:07:51.640 There was a lot of money running back and forth in supporting Osner's anti-communist activities. 01:07:52.640 --> 01:08:00.640 And in the Reilly Company, they only hired the finest people that were anti-communist, they were anti-Castro, and then they had pristine reputations. 01:08:00.640 --> 01:08:07.640 Lee Oswald is hired by Reilly. He's got a bad Marine record by now. He's been to Russia. He's a Russian wife. 01:08:08.640 --> 01:08:13.640 On the surface, he has been a Marxist, someone who was a defector. 01:08:14.640 --> 01:08:20.640 He is being hired by the same company that won't let anybody in who has a breath of nastiness about them. 01:08:21.640 --> 01:08:29.640 And here, Lee Oswald is hired without any problem. After a brief interview on May 9th, he's hired on May 10th. 01:08:30.640 --> 01:08:36.640 With Judith covering his absences, Lee Oswald would slip through a next-door garage where government cars were parked 01:08:37.640 --> 01:08:42.640 and journey on to the nearby office of Guy Bannister or to the cancer lab in Ferry's apartment. 01:08:43.640 --> 01:08:48.640 On more than one occasion, the garage owners saw Oswald and government men handing off envelopes to each other. 01:08:49.640 --> 01:08:55.640 Chauncey Holt, through his work with the CIA, was ordered to create a series of Pro-Castro leaflets for Lee Harvey Oswald. 01:08:55.640 --> 01:09:07.640 Sometime between April and June of 1963 was when we first delivered the first documents and the first leaflets that we delivered to Oswald. 01:09:08.640 --> 01:09:12.640 First of all, he was posing as Pro-Castro and he had a very good reason. 01:09:13.640 --> 01:09:18.640 What the problem was, is that there were three ships that were coming in from Colombia or Venezuela, I can't remember anymore. 01:09:18.640 --> 01:09:24.640 And they wanted to unload the ship that was coming in and it looked like boxes of furniture. 01:09:25.640 --> 01:09:27.640 In the bottom of these boxes of furniture were guns. 01:09:28.640 --> 01:09:34.640 And they took them out through New Orleans to various vendors who were really anti-Castro people and that's how they were getting their guns. 01:09:35.640 --> 01:09:44.640 Lee was involved in this and he actually pamphleted the wasps because we had stevedores, a lot of them were Cuban, worked together. 01:09:44.640 --> 01:09:47.640 We didn't know who was Pro-Castro and who was anti-Castro. 01:09:48.640 --> 01:09:53.640 And by handing out the pamphlets, they were photographed and noted across the street who took them and who didn't. 01:09:54.640 --> 01:10:01.640 Because a number of stevedores and dock workers took these pamphlets and if they did, they were not allowed to unload this ship. 01:10:02.640 --> 01:10:12.640 We were advised that Oswald, who was going to hand out these leaflets, needed a little moral support, needed a little steel. 01:10:12.640 --> 01:10:18.640 And so we went over to create a presence there. 01:10:19.640 --> 01:10:28.640 The only thing we knew at that time about Oswald was we had detected the address on there as being 544 Camp Street. 01:10:29.640 --> 01:10:31.640 We were not familiar with Oswald at all. 01:10:32.640 --> 01:10:37.640 We certainly knew what was at 544 Camp Street because we had been there before. 01:10:37.640 --> 01:10:44.640 Guy Bannister had an office in the building, although he used an address around the corner, but he was in that same building. 01:10:45.640 --> 01:10:47.640 So we made the connection that way. 01:10:48.640 --> 01:10:57.640 But as far as who Oswald was, we just assumed he was some kind of a disinformation program because Oswald's name was on documentation. 01:10:58.640 --> 01:11:04.640 It wasn't his picture. Others had his picture and his name. 01:11:04.640 --> 01:11:11.640 Although at that time we had never seen Oswald. We didn't know which one was the real guy. 01:11:12.640 --> 01:11:16.640 He started handing out the pamphlets and we were right in Andy Castro's country. 01:11:17.640 --> 01:11:21.640 People were coming and going. Some of them seemed to be just passerbys. 01:11:22.640 --> 01:11:29.640 Some seemed to be rather had an unusual interest in it as though they were part of the group. 01:11:29.640 --> 01:11:34.640 On August 9th, Lee was arrested for handing out pamphlets. 01:11:35.640 --> 01:11:41.640 I had gone over there from Riley, I was still working at Riley, to hand him some that I had trimmed. 01:11:42.640 --> 01:11:45.640 They had been printed crooked. These were bright yellow. You couldn't miss them. 01:11:46.640 --> 01:11:51.640 The other thing I did was I kind of encouraged him. I couldn't kiss him in public, but I squeezed his hand. 01:11:52.640 --> 01:11:57.640 Then I had to leave. Some people saw me with him because the crowd had started gathering. 01:11:57.640 --> 01:12:02.640 He got arrested at that time and this had already been planned a long time ago. 01:12:03.640 --> 01:12:09.640 While passing out flyers on Canal Street, Lee Harvey Oswald was confronted by anti-Castro activist Carlos Bringuir. 01:12:10.640 --> 01:12:13.640 The altercation that occurred may not have been what it seemed to be. 01:12:14.640 --> 01:12:20.640 Oswald appeared to be quite jovial after his arrest and according to Chauncey Holt, Bringuir was not that upset either. 01:12:20.640 --> 01:12:28.640 When Carlos Bringuir came down there, he didn't seem to be very serious about really whipping Oswald real bad. 01:12:29.640 --> 01:12:36.640 It seemed like a joke to him. At the time I thought maybe it was really contrived. 01:12:37.640 --> 01:12:45.640 Oswald was released from jail the next day to the custody of Emil Brunel, an associate of Carlos Marcello, and Lee's uncle Dutz Morant. 01:12:45.640 --> 01:12:49.640 Lee knew Carlos Marcello not only by sight, but could converse with him. 01:12:50.640 --> 01:12:57.640 Marcello had known him ever since he was a little boy running around when Lee's mom was dating Marcello's own chauffeur. 01:12:58.640 --> 01:13:08.640 While Lee was not working directly for Marcello, both Banister and Marcello liked the idea that he could move freely between either of them and be able to get along. 01:13:08.640 --> 01:13:16.640 He was trusted and respected by Banister and his associates and by David Ferry and his associates, which were the mom. 01:13:17.640 --> 01:13:22.640 These incidents appear to have been the beginning of the framing of Lee Harvey Oswald. 01:13:23.640 --> 01:13:28.640 As time drew on, he recognized more and more that he was being set up and other things were happening. 01:13:29.640 --> 01:13:35.640 He was aware of some of these problems, that he wasn't being handled correctly and with the right resources. 01:13:35.640 --> 01:13:38.640 He was aware of some of these problems, that he wasn't being handled correctly and with the right respect. 01:13:39.640 --> 01:13:46.640 One time he was even exposed as to identity to another person that he shouldn't have been. And these concerns bothered him. 01:13:47.640 --> 01:13:55.640 According to Judith, Lee was sent to Mexico City to deliver the cancer cells for the assassination of Fidel Castro to a mysterious man named Mr. B. 01:13:56.640 --> 01:14:00.640 But a hurricane hit the island of Cuba and made all contact impossible. 01:14:00.640 --> 01:14:12.640 Mr. B. he was supposed to meet in Mexico City. Mr. B. is someone who could have been Frank Bender or it could have been Benson, another name that David Atlee Phillips used. 01:14:13.640 --> 01:14:20.640 In the 1950s and 1960s, Phillips was the CIA case officer for the anti-Castro Cubans in Havana and Mexico City. 01:14:21.640 --> 01:14:26.640 The star of David Atlee Phillips rose to CIA Director of Special Operations in his own backyard. 01:14:26.640 --> 01:14:31.640 Phillips was called to testify for the House Select Committee on Assassinations in the 1970s. 01:14:32.640 --> 01:14:40.640 Several members of the committee wanted to call him again for they believed he had not told the truth and committed perjury. One of them was Robert Tenbaum. 01:14:41.640 --> 01:14:51.640 I left the House Committee when it became clear to me and Richard Sprague, who was chief counsel and a brilliant lawyer and an honest man. 01:14:51.640 --> 01:15:03.640 We came to the realization after the investigation I was conducting and reporting directly to Sprague and the committee and the chairman, who was also a very good man, Louis Stokes, who was the congressman from Cleveland, Ohio. 01:15:04.640 --> 01:15:16.640 That the committee as a whole was not really interested in finding out the truth. And one of the areas of course that came up that disappointed me was the recalling of David Phillips and their other matters. 01:15:16.640 --> 01:15:27.640 I've had an occasion to now review the evidence that has been gathered by Zach. We'd already crossed the threshold of predication, reason to investigate. 01:15:28.640 --> 01:15:36.640 After reviewing the evidence and information, in my opinion, it has reached the point which I would call probable cause. 01:15:36.640 --> 01:15:45.640 We have got to go over that information, realize that maybe certain mistakes were made. Maybe there were certain agendas that had to be taken care of for national security. 01:15:46.640 --> 01:15:51.640 Well, now is the time for truth to come forward. 01:15:52.640 --> 01:16:01.640 The man that killed Kennedy was Robert Tenbaum. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. 01:16:01.640 --> 01:16:08.640 He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. 01:16:09.640 --> 01:16:16.640 He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. 01:16:17.640 --> 01:16:26.640 He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. He was a very good man. 01:16:26.640 --> 01:16:33.640 Jimmy Sutton was born in Alabama in 1942. He had the name Sutton, which he later changed to James Files. 01:16:34.640 --> 01:16:39.640 He had lived in Alabama for the first seven or eight years of his life. Then he moved to the south side of Chicago. 01:16:40.640 --> 01:16:49.640 In approximately 1958, 1959, Jimmy decided to join the Army. He was then shipped to Vietnam. He was ultimately in Laos and Cambodia. 01:16:49.640 --> 01:16:56.640 In 1960 to 61, Jimmy, while back in the United States, was recruited while he was still James Sutton, was recruited by David Atlee Phillips for the Central Intelligence Agency. 01:17:05.640 --> 01:17:10.640 After Jimmy finished with his basic military, he came back to the south side of Chicago. 01:17:10.640 --> 01:17:19.640 He was a man who had been in Chicago. He ran across a couple of gentlemen that he had grown up with and one of them that he had later met by the name of Charles Nicoletti. 01:17:22.640 --> 01:17:27.640 In approximately 1979 or 1980 in Chicago, I had an investigation involving James Files. 01:17:28.640 --> 01:17:38.640 In this investigation, I identified the fact that Files was hijacking tractor trailer loads of merchandise and bringing them to Chicago and selling them. 01:17:38.640 --> 01:18:00.640 We were able to purchase three of these loads. With conversation that we had with Files, it was known that he was definitely a, say, not a godchild, but basically a really running buddy of Chuck Nicoletti's. 01:18:01.640 --> 01:18:09.640 Also at that same time, Files was involved in a chop shop operation that was bringing these vehicles down to Dallas, Texas. 01:18:10.640 --> 01:18:16.640 Through this investigation, I was able to come very close to an individual that Files knew. 01:18:17.640 --> 01:18:23.640 And this individual told me that once in Dallas, Texas, they went through Daly Plaza. 01:18:23.640 --> 01:18:32.640 Files became very weird, made a comment to the effect that if the American people really knew what happened, no one would be able to handle it. 01:18:33.640 --> 01:18:42.640 This statement, I felt, was definitely made or this individual would not have told me this. The question then was why did Files make that statement? 01:18:42.640 --> 01:18:52.640 Joe West was a private investigator whose investigation of the assassination began in 1989. In 1992, West met former FBI Special Agent Zach Shelton. 01:18:53.640 --> 01:19:05.640 I told Joe West about this comment that Files had made in 1979 and told him if he really wanted to check up on a good lead, he should find Files. And at that time, I knew Files was incarcerated somewhere in the United States. 01:19:05.640 --> 01:19:09.640 Initially, Files was very reluctant to talk to Joe West. 01:19:10.640 --> 01:19:19.640 When Joe West first originally contacted me here at Stateville Prison, I was on a visit. The counselor came in the visiting room where I was at and stated that she wanted me to come out and make a phone call. 01:19:20.640 --> 01:19:26.640 I told her, she said, no way, I'm here 365 days a year, I'm not leaving my visit to go make a phone call. I said, who's calling? 01:19:26.640 --> 01:19:35.640 I said, someone from Texas named Joe West. I told him, I do not know the party. I said, tell them I'll call them on my time, not their time. I'm on a visit. Don't bother me when I'm on a visit. 01:19:36.640 --> 01:19:41.640 The next day, they come got me out of my cell. They took me downstairs and got a phone call hooked up. 01:19:42.640 --> 01:19:45.640 Initially, Files was very reluctant to talk to Joe West. 01:19:45.640 --> 01:19:51.640 Slowly and meticulously, West established a relationship with Files. Through months of personal visits and detailed correspondence, Files began to reveal his participation in the JFK assassination, but would only confess if he were granted immunity from prosecution. 01:19:52.640 --> 01:19:56.640 Initially, Files was very reluctant to talk to Joe West. 01:19:57.640 --> 01:20:02.640 Slowly and meticulously, West established a relationship with Files. 01:20:03.640 --> 01:20:12.640 Through months of personal visits and detailed correspondence, Files began to reveal his participation in the JFK assassination, but would only confess if he were granted immunity from prosecution. 01:20:12.640 --> 01:20:17.640 Files was a man of great interest to Joe West, and he was a man of great interest to him in 1993. 01:20:18.640 --> 01:20:26.640 As Files had come to respect Joe West, his death was a major factor in his willingness to come forward with the confession that West had been seeking from him. 01:20:26.640 --> 01:20:43.640 At least we have some idea about the effort of the FBI and the CIA in trying to minimize or marginalize James Files to try to make him to be somebody wanting only attention, that he had nothing to do with the assassination. 01:20:44.640 --> 01:20:52.640 Poor guy's in jail, he wants people to think about him, and therefore he claimed that he was part of the GNKANA team. 01:20:52.640 --> 01:20:58.640 Well, nothing could be further from the truth. James Files wanted no attention whatsoever. 01:20:59.640 --> 01:21:07.640 There is reason for a reasonable person to believe further in-depth investigation is required. 01:21:08.640 --> 01:21:18.640 In that this investigation is required, not only to answer the questions that are in millions of the minds of the American people to this very day. 01:21:18.640 --> 01:21:29.640 What happened? But also to answer the questions in further in-depth that Zach's investigation has presented. 01:21:29.640 --> 01:21:49.640 As far as who was in Dallas, Texas on the day of the November 22, 1963, we have James Files, Chuck Nicoletti, Charles Nicoletti, who was one of the top sub bosses in the Chicago mob, and also Johnny Roselli. 01:21:49.640 --> 01:21:54.640 Johnny Roselli was the link between the mob and the CIA at that particular time. 01:21:55.640 --> 01:22:01.640 And on the morning of November 22, 1963, Tosh Plumlee flew into Dallas, Texas with John Roselli. 01:22:02.640 --> 01:22:09.640 Robert Tosh Plumlee had a long record of working with both the CIA and the military. His involvement goes all the way back to the 1950s. 01:22:09.640 --> 01:22:15.640 In the 1980s, he appeared to testify at the Iran Contra hearings where he said he was a pilot for the CIA. 01:22:16.640 --> 01:22:34.640 Then you have individuals such as Chauncey Hogue, who received a letter from Peter Lucavelli to come to the Grace Ranch and pick up Lips, another mob associate out of Detroit, and also Chuckie, who was Chuck's assistant. 01:22:34.640 --> 01:22:46.640 Chauncey Hogue stated that he drove both of these individuals to Dallas and arrived approximately late night of the 21st or early morning the 22nd. 01:22:47.640 --> 01:22:55.640 What had been a plot to kill Castro turned to a plot to kill Kennedy with a ready-made fall guy by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald. 01:22:55.640 --> 01:23:15.640 With Kennedy's failure to provide air cover during the Bay of Pigs invasion, his unwillingness to invade Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis created a convergence of interests aligning anti-Castro Cubans, the Mafia, and the CIA who now felt that they would be better off with Kennedy out of the way. 01:23:16.640 --> 01:23:21.640 And the stage was set for the assassination of the President. 01:23:21.640 --> 01:23:31.640 Lee was aware, I think, in April that there was an either-or situation that was developing. Either Castro goes out or Kennedy goes out. 01:23:33.640 --> 01:23:42.640 I was sitting in the Harlow Grill that evening playing the pinball machine, and Charles Nicoletti walked in, a man that I did a lot of work with. 01:23:42.640 --> 01:23:52.640 And he walked in the back room where I was at, says, Jimmy, let's go. I said, I'll be with you in a minute. He reached over and told the machine, he said, let's go now. 01:23:53.640 --> 01:24:02.640 My reply was, yes, sir, Mr. Nicoletti. He wasn't in no mood to wait and hang around. He said, I want to talk to you. I went out, I got in this car, and we went for a ride. 01:24:02.640 --> 01:24:11.640 He says, we're going to do a friendly of yours, President Kennedy, JFK. And at this point, I still kind of thought, you know, he was just joking with me. 01:24:12.640 --> 01:24:19.640 But then he got real serious about it. And then we started talking, and he told me, he says, what I'm going to want you to do, he says, I'm going to look around. 01:24:20.640 --> 01:24:28.640 He says, we'll search the area around the town here. He says, you know everything pretty good. He says, and see what we're going to do with that, what kind of weapons we're going to need, and other things like that. 01:24:28.640 --> 01:24:31.640 He says, he said he was going to bring Johnny Roselli in on it. 01:24:32.640 --> 01:24:39.640 I knew John Roselli rather well. I've flown John Roselli, I would say, perhaps more than six or seven different occasions. 01:24:40.640 --> 01:24:49.640 The last part is 60, the first part is 61. And this was at Biscayne Park. We just came from a meeting place called Sloppy Joe's on Flagler Street in Miami. 01:24:49.640 --> 01:24:54.640 And Johnny, John Firentello was the person that introduced me to John Roselli. 01:24:55.640 --> 01:25:03.640 I was well aware that Johnny Roselli was involved in the government actions. He was like the license between CIA and organized crime. 01:25:04.640 --> 01:25:09.640 And he was heavily involved in the invasion of Cuba, Bay of Pigs, Chiano's Bay, whichever you prefer to call it. 01:25:10.640 --> 01:25:13.640 But he was also very tight with Frank Sturgis. 01:25:13.640 --> 01:25:16.640 Frank Sturgis headed up the SAO, which is a secret army organization. 01:25:17.640 --> 01:25:26.640 After the incident with Oswald in August of 63, there was a frenzy of activity, especially in September, of producing, we had unusual orders for documents. 01:25:26.640 --> 01:25:32.640 When Lee was hired at what's called the Texas State Book Depository, that thing was all set up. 01:25:33.640 --> 01:25:38.640 And Mr. Trulli, who was there, thought Lee was working for the FBI. 01:25:39.640 --> 01:25:44.640 He didn't realize that he might be working for someone else or it might be some other connection. 01:25:45.640 --> 01:25:48.640 And he was very, very worried about the FBI. 01:25:48.640 --> 01:25:55.640 He thought Lee was working for the FBI. He didn't realize that he might be working for someone else or it might be some other connection. 01:25:56.640 --> 01:25:59.640 That whole thing was set up ahead of time. 01:26:03.640 --> 01:26:08.640 But when the time come, and we knew it was going to be serious and we were going to, Chuck was sending me to Texas. 01:26:08.640 --> 01:26:20.640 We were asked in November to produce the whole range of documentation, including Secret Service documentation, a certain number of pens, which they could wear. 01:26:21.640 --> 01:26:29.640 And we were told that we had to be in Dallas on the night of November 21st. 01:26:30.640 --> 01:26:32.640 I went down like a week before the assassination. 01:26:32.640 --> 01:26:42.640 I made two telephone calls when I got there. I called Charles Nicoletti, told him that I was on the scene, and where I was at in case he had to reach me. 01:26:43.640 --> 01:26:50.640 I turned around and made another phone call. I called David Atlee Phillips, because he always had to know where I was at because he was my controller. 01:26:50.640 --> 01:26:54.640 CIA purposes, special operations or something that might be needed done. 01:26:55.640 --> 01:27:03.640 Meanwhile, Lee was telling me as we had our various phone calls, which were usually at night during the weekdays, and various names were brought up. 01:27:03.640 --> 01:27:10.640 And I remember Roselli. And one of the last things Lee told me was that I should not forget the name of David Atlee Phillips. 01:27:10.640 --> 01:27:22.640 Phillips was traced to the suspect as a result of the testimony of Cuban exile leader Antonio Vecchiana, a friend of Files who knew his CIA case officer only under the alias Maurice Bishop. 01:27:22.640 --> 01:27:33.640 He was pretty much convinced that the man he met sometime in September in Dallas, who was identified to him at that time as Mr. Bishop, was probably David Atlee Phillips. 01:27:33.640 --> 01:27:40.640 David Atlee Phillips' whereabouts on November 22nd, 1963 were confirmed by his brother James Phillips. 01:27:41.640 --> 01:27:46.640 James stated that his brother admitted to him that he was in Dallas on the day of the assassination. 01:27:46.640 --> 01:27:55.640 James J. Canty was the pilot that was coming to with me, simply by the plane back with me. 01:27:55.640 --> 01:28:04.640 We stopped off in Tucson at Pete LeCoboli's ranch and Charlie Nicoletti and Leo Massuri wanted to make the drive with us. 01:28:04.640 --> 01:28:07.640 And we would all alternate in the driving so we could drive straight through. 01:28:07.640 --> 01:28:17.640 We had been told that an incident was going to be created which could be laid at the door of the Pro Castro Cubans. 01:28:17.640 --> 01:28:22.640 The word attempted assassination was never used. 01:28:22.640 --> 01:28:27.640 The last phone call I received from Lee was from the police. 01:28:27.640 --> 01:28:33.640 The last phone call I received from Lee was Wednesday, November 20th. 01:28:33.640 --> 01:28:45.640 At this particular time he or David Ferri later, one of them, either he told me or David told me later, that he was part of an abort team, a team that was trying to stop the assassination. 01:28:45.640 --> 01:28:53.640 Two days before the assassination, a woman named Rose Shermie, a dancer and a dancer, was arrested. 01:28:53.640 --> 01:29:02.640 Two days before the assassination, a woman named Rose Shermie, a dancer and one of Jack Ruby's night clubs, was set to pick up a shipment of narcotics. 01:29:02.640 --> 01:29:30.640 She was later found dumped on the roadside and brought to the Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson, where she informed doctors that President Kennedy was to be assassinated the following day. 01:29:30.640 --> 01:29:35.640 The word was out throughout the New Orleans underworld and a contract had been placed on the president. 01:29:35.640 --> 01:29:45.640 When the doctors informed the Dallas police after the assassination, Dallas police responded they had no interests and had found their man. 01:29:45.640 --> 01:29:55.640 Our team flew out of West Palm Beach, a place called Lantana, to Tampa and then Rossell and a couple of other people got on board in Tampa. 01:29:55.640 --> 01:30:01.640 We flew to New Orleans where two people got off, three other people got on, Rossell stayed on board. 01:30:01.640 --> 01:30:06.640 We flew to Houston and then the next morning we had some weather and then we left for Dallas. 01:30:06.640 --> 01:30:12.640 We were heading for Redbird Airport and we had to make a stop at Dallas-Garland because of weather. 01:30:12.640 --> 01:30:14.640 We were military intelligence. 01:30:14.640 --> 01:30:23.640 CIA was running to support and coordinating certain flights, making different arrangements or necessary arrangements for us. 01:30:23.640 --> 01:30:38.640 The impression that I was under at that time, we were flying a team into Dallas to abort the assassination and John Rossell was on board that flight, as well as a couple of other Cubans and people that were connected with organized crime in New Orleans. 01:30:38.640 --> 01:30:41.640 We have a brilliant sun at this moment. 01:30:41.640 --> 01:30:49.640 The wind has diminished considerably and it has turned into a comfortable situation for the hundreds of people who came here to Dallas-Lorefield. 01:30:49.640 --> 01:30:55.640 Here is the presidential jet, U.S. Air Force Number One, printed on the side. 01:30:55.640 --> 01:31:02.640 And there is Mrs. Kennedy, the First Lady, stepping from the plane and the President steps off directly behind. 01:31:02.640 --> 01:31:17.640 We didn't arrive in Dallas until early the following morning, on the morning of the 22nd, for the simple reason that we had some car trouble, we hit bad weather and it took us longer to drive it. 01:31:19.640 --> 01:31:25.640 We were supposed to deliver all the documents, we were supposed to put them in the pickup truck. 01:31:25.640 --> 01:31:36.640 They had already identified the pickup truck with a camper shell, had Texas license plates on it and was supposed to be at the Cabana. 01:31:36.640 --> 01:31:46.640 If that didn't work out, if we had any kind of delay for any reason, the pickup truck was going to be in the parking lot at D. LeVaise and that's where we found it. 01:31:46.640 --> 01:31:52.640 And here comes the President now. He is reaching across the fence, shaking hands. 01:31:52.640 --> 01:32:00.640 Johnny Roselli, we were on the way to Fort Worth and I asked him, when did you get in? He said, I got in this morning. 01:32:00.640 --> 01:32:03.640 He said, I got in early this morning. He said, I hadn't been here in a couple of hours. 01:32:03.640 --> 01:32:09.640 And I said, how did you get in? He said, I got lucky, I flew in on a match. I said, match? 01:32:09.640 --> 01:32:13.640 And for people who don't know what a match is, that's Military Air Transport Service. 01:32:13.640 --> 01:32:19.640 And he said, he got lucky. He caught a ride on a plane that's sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency, the CIA. 01:32:19.640 --> 01:32:24.640 He said, how the hell did you manage that one? He said, I got lucky. He's had somebody there. 01:32:24.640 --> 01:32:29.640 I didn't ask no more. He didn't elaborate any more than that. I didn't dig any deeper than that. 01:32:29.640 --> 01:32:37.640 James Files, who has never met Tosh Plumley, confirms that Johnny Roselli was sent in to abort the assassination. 01:32:37.640 --> 01:32:42.640 I hadn't seen Chuck in person until I went with Johnny Roselli to Fort Worth and come back. 01:32:42.640 --> 01:32:46.640 Johnny Roselli got out of the car and went upstairs. Charles Nicoletti came down. 01:32:46.640 --> 01:32:50.640 Mr. Nicoletti got in the car with me and we drove to Daly Plaza. 01:32:50.640 --> 01:32:55.640 There's the gunmetal gray limousine, blue and gray. 01:32:55.640 --> 01:32:59.640 The President and Mrs. Kennedy seated on the back seat. 01:32:59.640 --> 01:33:03.640 Governor and Mrs. Connolly on the second seat or jump seats. 01:33:03.640 --> 01:33:08.640 And then the official driver and Secret Service man are in the front seat. 01:33:08.640 --> 01:33:13.640 While we're walking around, Charles Nicoletti asked me, he said, how do you feel about being back up? 01:33:13.640 --> 01:33:15.640 I said, what do you mean back up? 01:33:15.640 --> 01:33:18.640 He said, how would you feel about being back up as a shooter for me? 01:33:18.640 --> 01:33:21.640 I said, what happened to Johnny? What's with Johnny? 01:33:21.640 --> 01:33:27.640 And he said, Johnny's a little bit paranoid on this. He says, the CIA's called a hit-off. 01:33:27.640 --> 01:33:30.640 He said, they don't want the hit to go down. 01:33:30.640 --> 01:33:32.640 And I said, what'd you say? 01:33:32.640 --> 01:33:36.640 Chuck's exact words were, fuck him, it's going anyway. 01:33:36.640 --> 01:33:40.640 And I thought, what about Johnny? 01:33:40.640 --> 01:33:44.640 He said, Johnny will be with me, but he's not going to be a shooter. 01:33:44.640 --> 01:33:46.640 He doesn't want to go against the orders. 01:33:46.640 --> 01:33:50.640 He's been told, he flew in here specifically to abort this assassination. 01:33:50.640 --> 01:33:58.640 It will go Mockingbird Lane to Lemon Avenue, then travel south on Lemon to Turtle Creek, Cedar Springs, 01:33:58.640 --> 01:34:03.640 through the downtown area on Harwood to Maine, west on Maine to Houston, 01:34:03.640 --> 01:34:09.640 through the triple underpass to Stemmonds Freeway, then on to the Trademark. 01:34:09.640 --> 01:34:15.640 Lee told me the attempt to kill Kennedy would be either at the airport when he got off the plane, 01:34:15.640 --> 01:34:19.640 except that he said there was so much exposure there it might not work, 01:34:19.640 --> 01:34:25.640 or it was going to be at Dealey Plaza, or it was going to be at the Trademark, those three areas, locales. 01:34:25.640 --> 01:34:30.640 And he believed it would be at Dealey Plaza because of the setup and the location of everything. 01:34:30.640 --> 01:34:33.640 It was just perfect in his consideration. 01:34:33.640 --> 01:34:37.640 I was taken over to the safe house that was located in Oak Cliff, 01:34:37.640 --> 01:34:40.640 right next to the Country Club on Bar Harbor Drive. 01:34:40.640 --> 01:34:42.640 And that's where we congregated. 01:34:42.640 --> 01:34:46.640 And then from there we went directly in a car down to the plaza and was dropped off. 01:34:46.640 --> 01:34:52.640 And our objective there on the plaza was to go in and be spotters, 01:34:52.640 --> 01:34:56.640 to try to stop cross-triangulation, gunfire, and ambush. 01:34:56.640 --> 01:34:59.640 We had people that filtrated out into the plaza, 01:34:59.640 --> 01:35:05.640 and the object there was to get next to anyone that possibly could have been a shooter and take them out. 01:35:11.640 --> 01:35:16.640 Our instructions were very generalized, 01:35:16.640 --> 01:35:22.640 and in some respects actually bizarre looking back on it. 01:35:22.640 --> 01:35:26.640 We were told that, look, there may be a lot of confusion here, 01:35:26.640 --> 01:35:34.640 and if there's anything, anything goes wrong, that sitting on the siding would be this train. 01:35:34.640 --> 01:35:38.640 They identified the number of the Rock Island train. 01:35:38.640 --> 01:35:46.640 They said that the train apparently be locked on one side, but on the other side that it would be unlocked. 01:35:46.640 --> 01:35:48.640 The train would not be searched. 01:35:48.640 --> 01:35:53.640 We could go into the train and we would be concealed. 01:36:02.640 --> 01:36:08.640 After I took Charles Nicoletti back to the hotel, I went back to the plaza, secured the car, 01:36:08.640 --> 01:36:11.640 got my briefcase out with a gun in it, with a fireball in it. 01:36:11.640 --> 01:36:13.640 I went into the railroad yard. 01:36:13.640 --> 01:36:16.640 I secured that over there, put it away so nobody would see it. 01:36:16.640 --> 01:36:20.640 I reversed my jacket inside out and had taken my hat, great floor light. 01:36:25.640 --> 01:36:31.640 Weave at this point came down, and at that time the motorcade was about turning, 01:36:31.640 --> 01:36:36.640 maybe halfway between the county jail and the turnoff, right through there. 01:36:39.640 --> 01:36:44.640 Sergio and I came over here, looked at these light posts here, 01:36:44.640 --> 01:36:50.640 decided, okay, if we had a shooter, more than likely he would be right along in here, 01:36:50.640 --> 01:36:56.640 using the left or the right side of these posts as a reference point for timing or whatever. 01:36:56.640 --> 01:37:00.640 And then we observed the rest of what the motorcade as it came around. 01:37:00.640 --> 01:37:09.640 The time we're in the parking lot, back near the railroad tracks, back of the grassy knoll. 01:37:09.640 --> 01:37:12.640 As a matter of fact, we can't even see the motorcade. 01:37:13.640 --> 01:37:19.640 The president's car is now turning onto Elm Street, and it will be only a matter of minutes before he arrives at the trademark. 01:37:20.640 --> 01:37:24.640 The motorcade come down, I believe that's the main street there, come down on Houston turn, 01:37:24.640 --> 01:37:21.300 and then it's going to be a little bit of a 01:37:21.300 --> 01:37:21.300 01:37:21.300 --> 01:37:21.640 bit of a 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:21.640 01:37:21.640 --> 01:37:22.640 turn on the car. 01:37:22.640 --> 01:37:26.640 And we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:26.640 --> 01:37:29.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:29.640 --> 01:37:32.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:32.640 --> 01:37:35.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:35.640 --> 01:37:38.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:38.640 --> 01:37:41.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:41.640 --> 01:37:44.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:44.640 --> 01:37:47.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:47.640 --> 01:37:50.640 and we noticed a lot of commotion as it started coming up, 01:37:50.640 --> 01:37:52.640 as it started coming into view, 01:37:52.640 --> 01:37:54.640 and then the shots came out, 01:37:54.640 --> 01:37:59.640 and that's when all hell broke loose. 01:38:00.640 --> 01:38:06.640 I've got this sign there for the Simmons freeway that is fixing to come into my field of fire. 01:38:07.640 --> 01:38:10.640 As far as I can see at this point, 01:38:10.640 --> 01:38:13.640 the president has not been hit in the head at this time. 01:38:13.640 --> 01:38:16.640 I've seen the body lurch, I know he's been hit, 01:38:16.640 --> 01:38:18.640 how serious, I don't know. 01:38:18.640 --> 01:38:22.640 But my last instructions were we're going for a head shot. 01:38:22.640 --> 01:38:24.640 If you have to take a shot, take it, 01:38:24.640 --> 01:38:27.640 but don't fire a missus unnecessarily unless you really have to. 01:38:27.640 --> 01:38:29.640 I was aiming for his right eye, 01:38:29.640 --> 01:38:32.640 which to me is the left side of his head looking head on, 01:38:32.640 --> 01:38:34.640 but for him it would be his right eye, 01:38:34.640 --> 01:38:37.640 and when I pull the trigger, I'm right in on it, 01:38:37.640 --> 01:38:40.640 and it's almost like looking six feet away through the scope. 01:38:41.640 --> 01:38:44.640 As I squeezed, take off my round, 01:38:44.640 --> 01:38:46.640 his head moved forward, I missed, 01:38:46.640 --> 01:38:49.640 and I come right along the temple, just right behind the eye. 01:38:53.640 --> 01:38:55.640 I fired one shot, one shot only. 01:38:55.640 --> 01:39:00.640 And at this point right here, I remember seeing Kennedy's head going way back like that. 01:39:01.640 --> 01:39:05.640 To me, what I believe is, and I did not see, let me clear the fact now, 01:39:05.640 --> 01:39:07.640 I never saw Mr. Nicoletti shoot Kennedy, 01:39:07.640 --> 01:39:12.640 but I know he was the man in the Dow Tech building, the man supposed to be doing the shooting. 01:39:12.640 --> 01:39:14.640 Therefore, the head started forward. 01:39:14.640 --> 01:39:17.640 Before I'm concerned, Mr. Nicoletti hit him at that point. 01:39:17.640 --> 01:39:21.640 As I squeezed off my round, the head started forward, I hit it and moved the head backwards. 01:39:23.640 --> 01:39:29.640 And Sergio turned to me, he said, oh my gosh, we effed up. 01:39:29.640 --> 01:39:31.640 Let's get the hell out of here. 01:39:31.640 --> 01:39:34.640 And so at this point, I turned like this, 01:39:35.640 --> 01:39:39.640 and then made a step to come up and around, 01:39:39.640 --> 01:39:43.640 and Sergio was about right along here, and we went up here. 01:39:45.640 --> 01:39:48.640 There was a gentleman down here in a parked car, a truck, 01:39:49.640 --> 01:39:54.640 as we got to about this area, he hollered something to Sergio. 01:39:54.640 --> 01:39:56.640 Sergio was maybe a little bit down. 01:39:56.640 --> 01:39:59.640 He says, it looks real bad. 01:40:00.640 --> 01:40:03.640 And then we continued to proceed up through this way, 01:40:04.640 --> 01:40:08.640 just casually walking like we were going to go back over where the crowd. 01:40:08.640 --> 01:40:12.640 The crowd was congregating going to that section right there. 01:40:13.640 --> 01:40:15.640 There was a few congregations up there at the deal. 01:40:16.640 --> 01:40:20.640 I look back once or twice in time to see the limousine go under the triple underpass. 01:40:29.640 --> 01:40:31.640 We continued on over here, 01:40:32.640 --> 01:40:34.640 and this picket fence was up, 01:40:35.640 --> 01:40:37.640 and there was a little opening right through here. 01:40:38.640 --> 01:40:41.640 And when we got to this point right here, we did smell gun smoke. 01:40:42.640 --> 01:40:46.640 And we felt that maybe that gun smoke had drifted because of the north wind. 01:40:46.640 --> 01:40:50.640 Across here, for the time span it took us to get from the light post 01:40:50.640 --> 01:40:52.640 to this intersection right here, 01:40:52.640 --> 01:40:56.640 we definitely picked up a good solid smell of gunpowder. 01:40:59.640 --> 01:41:03.640 The minute all these shots were fired, we knew that something had gone awry. 01:41:03.640 --> 01:41:07.640 We didn't know why, but from all the screaming and carrying on, 01:41:07.640 --> 01:41:12.640 we knew that they had been one hell of a bad incident. 01:41:13.640 --> 01:41:16.640 And at that time, it ran through our mind that, 01:41:17.640 --> 01:41:22.640 hey, we've gotten ourselves into something that's way over our head. 01:41:23.640 --> 01:41:27.640 So I hot-footed it through, scooted under the train, 01:41:28.640 --> 01:41:31.640 went over to the other side, encountered Harrelson and Montoya. 01:41:31.640 --> 01:41:36.640 We searched out for the car, which was not too far from the engine, 01:41:37.640 --> 01:41:43.640 climbed in it, closed the door, and sat there in silence. 01:41:54.640 --> 01:41:57.640 I knew Dave was going to call, and it rang, and I answered. 01:41:57.640 --> 01:42:02.640 And on the other end, I hear panic-stricken David Ferri like I've never heard before. 01:42:03.640 --> 01:42:06.640 And he's even crying and weeping, and everything had gone wrong. 01:42:06.640 --> 01:42:09.640 Everything that possibly could have gone wrong had gone wrong. 01:42:09.640 --> 01:42:12.640 And he was aware of what had happened to Lee. 01:42:12.640 --> 01:42:14.640 He said that they were going to get mob lawyers to get him out. 01:42:14.640 --> 01:42:15.640 They could spring him. 01:42:15.640 --> 01:42:20.640 He hadn't yet been, there was hope because he hadn't been actually blamed 01:42:20.640 --> 01:42:22.640 for the death of the president. 01:42:22.640 --> 01:42:29.640 Then suddenly, they opened the door, and there was a whole pass of police officers there, 01:42:29.640 --> 01:42:31.640 shotguns, everything else. 01:42:31.640 --> 01:42:33.640 They took us out. 01:42:33.640 --> 01:42:36.640 We tried to identify ourselves. 01:42:37.640 --> 01:42:40.640 We said, hey, we're federal agents. 01:42:40.640 --> 01:42:41.640 We're working on this. 01:42:41.640 --> 01:42:43.640 We're going to get you out of here. 01:42:43.640 --> 01:42:45.640 We're going to get you out of here. 01:42:45.640 --> 01:42:47.640 We're going to get you out of here. 01:42:47.640 --> 01:42:50.640 And we said, hey, we're federal agents. 01:42:50.640 --> 01:42:53.640 We're working on this thing. 01:42:53.640 --> 01:42:55.640 And they said, well, come with us. 01:42:55.640 --> 01:42:57.640 And we strolled along. 01:42:57.640 --> 01:43:20.640 News reports were constant about the assassination, who had been shot. 01:43:20.640 --> 01:43:26.640 We learned that, we had already learned that the president was dead before we left. 01:43:26.640 --> 01:43:29.640 We learned that Connolly was going to survive. 01:43:29.640 --> 01:43:37.640 We learned that the, according to the news reports, that the assassin, 01:43:37.640 --> 01:43:41.640 whose name they gave us, had been captured. 01:43:41.640 --> 01:43:50.640 At that time, of course, we realized that we were involved in, to some extent. 01:43:50.640 --> 01:44:02.640 And of course, the candy wasn't privy to as much information as I was. 01:44:02.640 --> 01:44:05.640 And we just simply discussed the thing. 01:44:05.640 --> 01:44:13.640 And at that point, I told him that, well, that I was sure that Oswald had been set up. 01:44:20.640 --> 01:44:25.640 Sergio and I at least felt that we went in to abort, or with a team to abort. 01:44:25.640 --> 01:44:30.640 However, with the view of the fact that the people that was on board that aircraft 01:44:30.640 --> 01:44:35.640 and the contact that I'd had with organized crime in Miami and Nevada, 01:44:35.640 --> 01:44:38.640 and the people that were on board that aircraft at that time, 01:44:38.640 --> 01:44:43.640 I don't rule out the possibility that we could have possibly flown the attack team in. 01:44:43.640 --> 01:44:46.640 Over the years, I've tried to sidestep that issue. 01:44:47.640 --> 01:44:51.640 I haven't came forward and came out too public about that. 01:44:51.640 --> 01:44:54.640 And I thought I'd let the investigators do their work, 01:44:54.640 --> 01:44:59.640 which obviously nowadays they have done some fantastic work. 01:44:59.640 --> 01:45:08.640 I have been looking into the assassination of JFK, have tried to verify files of story. 01:45:08.640 --> 01:45:11.640 A lot of that story I have been able to verify. 01:45:12.640 --> 01:45:20.640 We first of all get an inkling in 1992 with Chuck Giancana and his son, Sam Jr., in their book, 01:45:20.640 --> 01:45:27.640 where we have a very clear picture of Sam Giancana's involvement in the assassination. 01:45:27.640 --> 01:45:34.640 But then we do have the taped confession of James Files in 1996. 01:45:34.640 --> 01:45:38.640 And then after that, we have the extended tape. 01:45:38.640 --> 01:45:43.640 And those of us in Chicago have looked at that tape many times, 01:45:43.640 --> 01:45:47.640 including Antoinette Giancana's husband, 01:45:47.640 --> 01:45:53.640 and we find that everything that Files has said about every member of the Giancana team 01:45:53.640 --> 01:45:56.640 is consistent with everything we knew. 01:45:56.640 --> 01:46:04.640 In fact, there are many, many facts that I have learned from James Files in his confession. 01:46:04.640 --> 01:46:08.640 And I have never found a single time that he had lied. 01:46:11.640 --> 01:46:17.640 I was in the motel with the lamplighter in Mesquite, Texas, 01:46:17.640 --> 01:46:23.640 that he said he stayed in prior to the assassination, and during the assassination he left. 01:46:25.640 --> 01:46:29.640 The House Select Committee in 1978 went back to Dallas, Texas, 01:46:29.640 --> 01:46:36.640 and conducted a series of acoustics tests based on the open mic of the motorcycle cop 01:46:36.640 --> 01:46:39.640 in the caravan that day with Kennedy. 01:46:39.640 --> 01:46:44.640 And basically their conclusion was that there were definitely four shots. 01:46:44.640 --> 01:46:51.640 There was one shot from the grassy knoll and go to the exact spot where the shooter took the shot. 01:46:51.640 --> 01:46:56.640 And what's interesting about where they say the shot came from 01:46:56.640 --> 01:47:00.640 is exactly where Files stated he was standing. 01:47:00.640 --> 01:47:07.640 And in exactly at the same spot of a, I wouldn't want to say figure, in the famous Mary Mormon photograph, 01:47:07.640 --> 01:47:13.640 if you would enlarge that as much as you can without losing what you could see, 01:47:13.640 --> 01:47:16.640 there's something there. 01:47:16.640 --> 01:47:19.640 There's something there that shouldn't be there. 01:47:19.640 --> 01:47:24.640 And that's exactly the same spot the house, the acoustics test was to shoot. 01:47:24.640 --> 01:47:28.640 And the shooter's exactly where Files stated he was standing. 01:47:28.640 --> 01:47:30.640 So there has to be something. 01:47:30.640 --> 01:47:37.640 And this particular photograph was taken exactly split second after Kennedy got shot in the head. 01:47:37.640 --> 01:47:44.640 During his interviews, Files spoke of a .222 shell casing he ejected from his Remington XP100 fireball, 01:47:44.640 --> 01:47:50.640 an experimental gun Files said was given to him by David Atlee Phillips. 01:47:50.640 --> 01:47:59.640 A Texas man named John Rademacher and his son discovered this .222 caliber shell casing on the grassy knoll in 1987. 01:47:59.640 --> 01:48:08.640 I found the first shell casing six feet towards the end of the fence and six feet off the picket fence, 01:48:08.640 --> 01:48:11.640 right before the stairs goes down to Elm Street. 01:48:11.640 --> 01:48:16.640 The dating of Rademacher's findings is collaborated by anthropologist Gary Hughes, 01:48:16.640 --> 01:48:19.640 who stated that according to archaeological dating techniques, 01:48:19.640 --> 01:48:24.640 the shell casing is consistent with a 1963 deposition date, 01:48:24.640 --> 01:48:31.640 and by the manufacturer's markings on the casing, which indicate the date of production being before 1971. 01:48:31.640 --> 01:48:35.640 I took this shell casing as it come out to the briefcase, closed the briefcase up, 01:48:35.640 --> 01:48:39.640 and as I stood up, I did something I shouldn't have done, but I did do it. 01:48:39.640 --> 01:48:42.640 I took the shell casing, I bit down on it. 01:48:42.640 --> 01:48:45.640 I took it out and I looked at it and I set it on the stocky fence. 01:48:45.640 --> 01:48:51.640 And there was an indentation from my teeth on the shell casing on the ridge by the orifice. 01:48:52.640 --> 01:48:55.640 Mr. Nicoletti would laugh at me when I do things like that. 01:48:55.640 --> 01:48:58.640 And, hey, you know, we got to let them know what they got here for, you know. 01:48:58.640 --> 01:49:00.640 To me it was a symbol. 01:49:00.640 --> 01:49:03.640 Say, calling card, treat, whatever you want to do. 01:49:03.640 --> 01:49:07.640 He used to laugh at me over and he told me, Jimmy, just you do the job, you do it, forget about it. 01:49:08.640 --> 01:49:11.640 If he would have known I did that in the Dealey Plaza, 01:49:11.640 --> 01:49:15.640 right now he's probably turning over in his grave for me doing something that stupid. 01:49:18.640 --> 01:49:24.640 In 1993, Dr. Paul G. Stimpson, a dental forensic expert at the University of Texas at Houston, 01:49:24.640 --> 01:49:31.640 wrote this letter concluding that marks on the 222 shell casing were indeed human dentition teeth marks. 01:49:31.640 --> 01:49:36.640 He identified the teeth as the right central and lower right central incisors. 01:49:36.640 --> 01:49:39.640 Since there has never been any publicity on the dents in the shell casing, 01:49:39.640 --> 01:49:45.640 and nobody knew what they were, it is impossible that James Files could have known that a dent mark was on the shell casing, 01:49:45.640 --> 01:49:48.640 unless he put it there himself. 01:49:49.640 --> 01:49:55.640 There's another line of evidence also for this shot to the right front, 01:49:55.640 --> 01:49:59.640 and that comes from one of the technicians at the autopsy. 01:49:59.640 --> 01:50:04.640 After the autopsy doctors were done, then the ward personnel came in 01:50:04.640 --> 01:50:07.640 and tried to restore Kennedy to a presentable appearance, 01:50:07.640 --> 01:50:09.640 and apparently they were quite successful. 01:50:09.640 --> 01:50:14.640 But Tom Robinson, who was one of these technicians, 01:50:14.640 --> 01:50:20.640 describes how he saw a small hole in the right forehead near the hairline. 01:50:20.640 --> 01:50:24.640 He had to plug this hole to keep the embalming fluid from coming out. 01:50:24.640 --> 01:50:26.640 That's pretty striking. 01:50:26.640 --> 01:50:34.640 So we have multiple lines of evidence, the x-rays, the photographer, Tom Robinson. 01:50:34.640 --> 01:50:40.640 We have even some clues from Parkland itself that there was a bullet entry wound in the right forehead. 01:50:40.640 --> 01:50:47.640 So we have this whole sequence of events strongly suggesting, particularly the x-rays, 01:50:47.640 --> 01:50:51.640 that there was a shot to Kennedy's right forehead from the front. 01:50:51.640 --> 01:50:57.640 So none of that information, none of that evidence was in the official autopsy report, 01:50:57.640 --> 01:51:00.640 and it was not in the Warren Commission report. 01:51:00.640 --> 01:51:06.640 So I'm quite convinced today that Kennedy was in fact hit twice in the head. 01:51:06.640 --> 01:51:09.640 Once from the right rear, just as the official report says, 01:51:09.640 --> 01:51:15.640 but then after that he was hit a second time in the head from the right front, 01:51:15.640 --> 01:51:20.640 the bullet passing right at the hairline above his right eye. 01:51:20.640 --> 01:51:24.640 So we have, that's probably the major disagreement on the headshots, 01:51:24.640 --> 01:51:28.640 that there were two instead of one in the Warren Commission report, 01:51:28.640 --> 01:51:32.640 and that one of those shots they had came from the front. 01:51:32.640 --> 01:51:37.640 Further evidence from an article by Dr. David Mantick sheds new light on the case 01:51:37.640 --> 01:51:41.640 and support Files' claim that he was the shooter. 01:51:41.640 --> 01:51:48.640 Mantick claims that the x-rays of Kennedy's brain and skull fragments indicate traces of mercury. 01:51:48.640 --> 01:51:53.640 Files says he fired the fatal shot with a mercury round. 01:51:53.640 --> 01:51:57.640 Furthermore, Files' story can be verified by the confession of Chauncey Holt 01:51:57.640 --> 01:52:02.640 and the corroboration of the activities surrounding events at Dealey Plaza. 01:52:02.640 --> 01:52:10.640 A lot of Chauncey Holt's story is verified with witnesses in Dealey Plaza, 01:52:10.640 --> 01:52:14.640 as far as the station wagon he was driving being sighted by the witness 01:52:14.640 --> 01:52:17.640 in the top of the tower at the railroad yard. 01:52:17.640 --> 01:52:22.640 James Files stating that Chuck Nicoletti was in Dealey Plaza that day. 01:52:22.640 --> 01:52:28.640 Files' confessions came before Chauncey Holt's revelations about driving Nicoletti to Dallas, 01:52:28.640 --> 01:52:31.640 so it is impossible for Files to have drawn upon Holt's story 01:52:31.640 --> 01:52:37.640 or Tosh Plumley's account of flying Johnny Roselli and his mission to abort the assassination. 01:52:37.640 --> 01:52:42.640 Files could not have either spoken to them or read their confessions. 01:52:42.640 --> 01:52:46.640 Files' story is based on his own memories about the assassination, 01:52:46.640 --> 01:52:49.640 and it is corroborated by both Holt and Plumley. 01:52:49.640 --> 01:52:52.640 This cannot be a coincidence. 01:52:52.640 --> 01:52:59.640 Jimmy Files had pinpointed precisely events that led up and chronicled him being there 01:52:59.640 --> 01:53:02.640 and things that could only be determined later on. 01:53:02.640 --> 01:53:05.640 Those things to me support it. 01:53:05.640 --> 01:53:10.640 Other than that, too, is perhaps my 40-year friendship with Jimmy. 01:53:10.640 --> 01:53:15.640 I've never directly tried to catch Jimmy to lie. I had no need to. 01:53:15.640 --> 01:53:21.640 He was a friend that came forward and over time has told me numerous things, 01:53:21.640 --> 01:53:24.640 none of which has ever been countermanded, 01:53:24.640 --> 01:53:28.640 none of which has ever proven wrong, and I never sought this. 01:53:28.640 --> 01:53:33.640 Now concerning the three tramps who... 01:53:33.640 --> 01:53:36.640 Lois Gibson works for the Houston Police Department 01:53:36.640 --> 01:53:40.640 and is probably the most respected forensic artist and facial expert in the world. 01:53:40.640 --> 01:53:44.640 She's been awarded a notation in the Guinness Book of World Records 01:53:44.640 --> 01:53:48.640 for the highest crime-solving rate based on composite sketches. 01:53:48.640 --> 01:53:51.640 She identifies Chauncey Holt as one of the arrested tramps 01:53:51.640 --> 01:53:54.640 who were released by the Dallas police. 01:53:54.640 --> 01:53:56.640 She also verifies Holt's claim that he was present 01:53:56.640 --> 01:54:00.640 when Lee Harvey Oswald distributed flyers in New Orleans. 01:54:00.640 --> 01:54:07.640 Several individuals have been wrongly accused of having been the tramps. 01:54:08.640 --> 01:54:14.640 Possibly some of them deserve to be accused of that or something else. 01:54:14.640 --> 01:54:18.640 And I specifically referred to someone like Frank Sturgis, 01:54:18.640 --> 01:54:23.640 who incidentally ran afoul of a law for something else and ended up in prison. 01:54:23.640 --> 01:54:30.640 Howard Hunt, that was falsely identified as the person that I claimed to be. 01:54:30.640 --> 01:54:37.640 You see the...there's a lot of mystery surrounding the assassination. 01:54:37.640 --> 01:54:47.640 I felt that my information is from a point of view that would probably... 01:54:47.640 --> 01:54:53.640 If I am believed, it would lay to rest these ideas 01:54:53.640 --> 01:55:04.640 that Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald were just nuts that passed in the night. 01:55:04.640 --> 01:55:10.640 And that I have felt, I always felt a sympathy for Oswald. 01:55:10.640 --> 01:55:18.640 And I just don't feel it's right that he would be...or his children 01:55:18.640 --> 01:55:23.640 should be stuck with that stigmatism, that's all. 01:55:23.640 --> 01:55:46.640 They've tried so hard to hide the real facts behind it too, 01:55:46.640 --> 01:55:50.640 that I think right now the count has gone up to 102 people 01:55:50.640 --> 01:55:56.640 have had one kind of mysterious death or another that were related 01:55:56.640 --> 01:56:01.640 to trying to get out the truth about the Kennedy assassination, 01:56:01.640 --> 01:56:05.640 including the man I was asked to kill. 01:56:05.640 --> 01:56:13.640 After reviewing all this information, I must admit that I tried to hold myself 01:56:13.640 --> 01:56:19.640 independent of my emotions. I counseled Zack to do the same. 01:56:19.640 --> 01:56:28.640 But it is difficult to so insulate yourself that the humanity within me 01:56:28.640 --> 01:56:33.640 and within Zack are hurt. I'm hurt. 01:56:33.640 --> 01:56:38.640 And it's a difficult thing to mentally deal with. 01:56:39.640 --> 01:56:46.640 But I can only see the solution for all of us is, is the truth, the facts. 01:56:46.640 --> 01:56:49.640 It's important to find the truth about who murdered the President 01:56:49.640 --> 01:56:52.640 because there was an official governmental investigation. 01:56:52.640 --> 01:56:57.640 And it seems to me as one humble American, very proud of being an American, 01:56:57.640 --> 01:57:03.640 that when the government investigates who assassinated our precious President, 01:57:03.640 --> 01:57:07.640 that we find out. And at the very least, if we can't find out, 01:57:07.640 --> 01:57:10.640 we tell the American people what we did find out during the course of the investigation 01:57:10.640 --> 01:57:13.640 and the reasons why we were able to find out exactly what happened. 01:57:13.640 --> 01:57:16.640 And that should have been done. And it wasn't done. 01:57:16.640 --> 01:57:19.640 And since the government was involved in trying to find it out, 01:57:19.640 --> 01:57:23.640 it remains very important that the truth be told to the American people. 01:57:25.640 --> 01:57:30.640 To my personal way of thinking, I think the state of Texas, perhaps the Attorney General, 01:57:30.640 --> 01:57:36.640 should impanel a grand jury with all the legal power and authority of a grand jury 01:57:36.640 --> 01:57:43.640 to at least satisfy their legal jurisdiction of a murder case. 01:57:43.640 --> 01:57:51.640 This grand jury should have the authority to go after whatever information is necessary, 01:57:51.640 --> 01:57:55.640 to gather whatever witnesses need to be interviewed, 01:57:55.640 --> 01:57:59.640 and charge whatever people, regardless of their station in life, 01:57:59.640 --> 01:58:03.640 with violations of any crimes that may have been committed. 01:58:05.640 --> 01:58:08.640 And it basically let the chips fly where they may. 01:58:55.640 --> 01:59:00.640 The American people are not the only ones who are being charged. 01:59:00.640 --> 01:59:05.640 They are being charged with the crime of murder. 01:59:05.640 --> 01:59:08.640 They are being charged with the crime of murder. 01:59:08.640 --> 01:59:11.640 They are being charged with the crime of murder. 01:59:11.640 --> 01:59:14.640 They are being charged with the crime of murder. 01:59:14.640 --> 01:59:17.640 They are being charged with the crime of murder. 01:59:17.640 --> 01:59:20.640 They are being charged with the crime of murder. 01:59:20.640 --> 01:59:23.640 They are being charged with the crime of murder.
